Who Won the Paul–Tyson Fight, and How Much Did They Make?

Paul said before the bout that he expected to make $40 million; Tyson’s reported purse was about $20 million. Paul won by unanimous decision at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas. The three judges scored the bout 80–72, 79–73 and 79–73 in his favor, according to the Associated Press.

The November 15 event featured an eight-round heavyweight bout and drew 72,300 attendees, according to Netflix’s event recap.

How much money did Jake Paul and Mike Tyson make?

The public figures are reported purse estimates, not verified final earnings. Most Valuable Promotions and the Texas Athletic Commission did not disclose the fighters’ official purses, CBS Sports reported.

Was the event’s $18.1 million gate their pay?

No. Organizers reported an $18.1 million event gate, making it a gross event-level figure rather than either boxer’s individual purse. The Associated Press reported the figure as reported by organizers; it does not establish how much either fighter earned.
