There is no current, verified download link or endorsed method established here for Harmy’s Star Wars Despecialized Editions. The editions are fan reconstructions of the original theatrical versions—not official retail releases—and the detailed guide commonly cited for getting them was last revised in 2015. Check Harmy’s current project channels for any up-to-date instructions; do not assume old links or distribution routes still work or are safe.
What the Despecialized Edition is
Harmy’s Despecialized Editions are fan-made reconstructions of the theatrical versions of the original Star Wars trilogy. Fanedit.org describes them as high-definition reconstructions made using material from sources including VHS, LaserDisc, DVD, Blu-ray, and 35mm scans. That page attributes the description to Harmy; it is not an official Lucasfilm or Disney release. Fanedit.org

HanDuet’s The Ultimate Introductory Guide, version 3.2.4_en, traces the project from an Episode IV release in 2011 to editions of The Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi. Its latest revision is dated December 27, 2015. Read the guide.
Where to find current download instructions
The 2015 guide describes public-torrent, private-torrent, and multipart RAR approaches, but it does not establish that any of those routes, links, or services remain available, safe, or endorsed. Its public-torrent section is explicitly labeled unofficial and warns that copies obtained that way may have been modified. Because no newer indexed official guide was found, those historical directions should not be treated as current instructions.

Look for current information through Harmy’s own project channels or project threads. Confirm that a destination is genuinely connected to the project before downloading, and avoid sites charging for the fan edit. A current download destination cannot be verified from the available information, so this guide does not provide a direct link.
What the older guide says about formats
The format descriptions below come from the 2015 guide and may not match current releases. They explain the historical options, not a guarantee that any format is presently available.

The 2015 guide says readers should own the official Blu-ray for each respective film. That is the guide’s stated community prerequisite, not a legal guarantee that downloading or keeping a fan edit is lawful. Copyright rules differ by jurisdiction, and the U.S. Copyright Office’s general information on copyright questions and fair use does not decide the legality of this particular fan edit for an individual.
Fanedit.org reproduces a preservation notice attributed to Harmy stating that fan edits and preservations must not be bought or sold and should be shared among legal owners of officially available releases. Do not pay for a purported copy of the Despecialized Edition or sell one.
