The Who’s Who of MAGA Influencers: Creators, Organizers and Media Voices to Know

MAGA influence runs through podcasts, meme accounts, events, and newsletters. Here are the people and networks in WIRED’s January 2025 snapshot, with context on what the dated figures do—and don’t—show.

MAGA influence does not come from one definitive roster: it moves through podcasters and streamers, meme pages, event organizers, and newsletter writers. Makena Kelly’s January 23, 2025, WIRED guide is a useful snapshot of that network during the 2024 election and Trump’s inauguration. Later reporting through April 2026 shows the alliances and prominent voices can shift, so the names and audience figures below are dated examples—not a current ranking.

What makes someone a MAGA influencer?

“MAGA influencer” is a descriptive label, not an official category or a synonym for every conservative, Republican, or right-leaning creator. It can refer to people who reach aligned audiences, interview or promote political figures, circulate material through social accounts, organize creator networks, or publish commentary that overlaps with the movement. Those roles can coexist, but audience reach, political access, formal organizational ties, and editorial viewpoint are different things.

Influence here means the ability to distribute messages, draw attention, or connect people and organizations. The sources cited below document reach, access, and network activity; they do not establish that any one person changed votes or policy.

How the main channels differ

Channel Examples in WIRED’s January 2025 account How it can carry political messages
Podcasts and streams Joe Rogan, Andrew Schulz, Jake and Logan Paul, Adin Ross, Ben Shapiro, Dave Rubin, and Lex Fridman Interviews and extended conversations give guests room to present arguments to a creator’s audience.
Meme pages DC Draino, the Typical Liberal, RagingAmericans, and Snowflaketears Aggregating and reposting political material can make it easy to encounter and recirculate across social platforms.
Organizers and conveners Turning Point USA and Charlie Kirk; CJ Pearson; Raquel Debono; Alex Bruesewitz Events, training, and partnerships connect creators with one another and with political organizations or campaigns.
Newsletters and written commentary Jessica Reed Kraus (HouseInhabit); Curtis Yarvin and people in his wider orbit Written analysis and commentary offer a channel for readers who prefer text, while gatherings and networks can carry ideas beyond a single publication.

This is a map of roles described in the WIRED article, not a ranking of reach or effectiveness. A large audience does not by itself show persuasion, and appearing at the same event does not prove that attendees share one ideology.

Podcasters and streamers: interviews, reach, and self-described influence

WIRED described the 2024 election as a breakout cycle for political podcasters. Its January 2025 account named Joe Rogan, Andrew Schulz, Jake and Logan Paul, and Adin Ross among creators who interviewed Donald Trump and shared those conversations with large audiences. The same article identified Ben Shapiro, Dave Rubin, and Lex Fridman as creators who presented themselves as an intellectual wing of the modern Republican Party.

Kelly characterized the shows she discussed as amplifying Trump and his agenda with little pushback. That is the reporter’s assessment of the coverage, not an independent measure of each host’s interview style or of audience response. A prominent interview can provide access and distribution; it does not, on its own, show that listeners were persuaded.

Shapiro told Kelly that podcasting’s power was continuing to grow: “The power continues to grow. Legacy media’s completely blown itself out. We’re focused on expanding, not only our brand, but there’s so many other brands that need expansion, I think that it’s gonna be a very rich time for the podcast industry.” This is Shapiro’s view, quoted by WIRED on January 23, 2025—not an independently measured forecast.

Meme pages: political aggregation at social speed

WIRED named DC Draino, the Typical Liberal, RagingAmericans, and Snowflaketears as pro-MAGA Instagram meme pages. The article reported that the four had more than 6 million followers combined when it was published on January 23, 2025. That is a dated aggregate, not a current follower total.

Kelly described these accounts as conduits between GOP leadership priorities and platforms including X and Instagram, and as news aggregators for audiences who might not otherwise encounter the material. Aggregation can widen distribution without making a page a newsroom: readers should distinguish a repost or meme from original reporting, and check consequential claims against reporting or primary records.

Organizers: the people connecting creators

In WIRED’s account, Turning Point USA and its leader Charlie Kirk helped connect popular GOP creators through recurring summits and trainings. Those gatherings matter as network infrastructure: they give people who publish to different audiences a place to meet, coordinate, and form collaborations. That function does not establish that every attendee follows the same agenda.

The article also profiled several people whose roles bridge online audiences and political activity:

  • CJ Pearson: WIRED described him as a conservative creator with more than 500,000 X followers at the article’s January 23, 2025, publication and as cochair of the Republican National Committee’s youth advisory council. The follower count is a report-time figure, not a current tally.
  • Raquel Debono: The article identified her as a Date Right marketing executive and host of events for young conservatives.
  • Alex Bruesewitz: WIRED credited the Trump campaign adviser with helping strike creator partnerships.

WIRED’s analysis was that meetings and collaborations help creators communicate values and set a cultural tone. That describes a proposed network function, not proof of a measurable effect on voters.

Newsletter writers and intellectual currents

Jessica Reed Kraus and HouseInhabit

WIRED described Substack as a destination for readers who prefer written commentary. It reported that Jessica Reed Kraus, who publishes as HouseInhabit, had nearly 500,000 subscribers at the time of its January 2025 article. Kelly also wrote that Kraus had aligned closely with Robert F. Kennedy Jr. and the Make America Healthy Again movement during the 2024 election cycle, and that her work catered primarily to women. The subscriber figure is dated and should not be read as a current count.

Curtis Yarvin and overlapping circles

WIRED reported that an inauguration-weekend party hosted by Curtis Yarvin drew figures including Jack Posobiec and Red Scare podcasters Anna Khachiyan and Dasha Nekrasova. The article connected Yarvin’s influence to technology executives and noted that JD Vance had expressed interest in his work. Attendance at one gathering is evidence of proximity, not proof of endorsement or ideological agreement among everyone present.

What broader research can—and cannot—tell us

Pew Research Center’s November 18, 2024, report, America’s News Influencers, analyzed 500 news influencers with more than 100,000 followers who regularly posted about news on Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, X, or YouTube in early 2024. In that sample, 52% publicly expressed a political orientation; Pew classified 27% as right-leaning, 21% as left-leaning, and 3% as other, while 48% had no clear orientation. The categories are Pew’s coding of that defined sample, not a census of MAGA creators.

Pew’s “right-leaning” category included people identified as conservative or Republican and people expressing support for Trump. It is therefore broader than “MAGA.” These percentages provide context about political orientation among a selected group of large news influencers; they cannot be used to estimate the size of the MAGA influencer population or rank individual creators.

Why the roster can change

Later coverage shows that online conservative politics is not a stable bloc. In April 2026, Axios reported on criticism of Trump among some manosphere creators and an opening for conservative women, naming Brett Cooper, Riley Gaines, and Tomi Lahren. The shift is evidence that visibility and alignment can move; it does not make those names a definitive replacement roster.

Axios also reported that Megyn Kelly’s videos received 323 million YouTube views in the first quarter of 2026, attributing the figure to a spokesperson. It is a spokesperson-reported figure in a story about women’s visibility in conservative media, not an independent platform audit. Separately, Axios reported in April 2026 on divisions in MAGA media around Trump’s actions in Iran. Together, these reports underline why a list should be tied to a date and a selection principle—such as audience reach, formal ties, access, or a role in a particular format.

A September 24, 2025, WIRED feature on political power users also identified Pearson as an important figure in digital MAGA politics and mentioned Riley Gaines and Bryce Hall at an inauguration-weekend party sponsored by TikTok. That feature had a broader scope than MAGA influencers; its examples add context, but do not establish a comprehensive ranking.

How to read claims about influence

  • Check the date and the metric. Followers, subscribers, and video views change; a figure reported in 2025 or attributed to a spokesperson in 2026 is not automatically a current, independently audited count.
  • Separate reach from political proximity. A large audience, an interview with a candidate, a campaign partnership, and a formal organizational role are distinct kinds of evidence.
  • Distinguish reporting from self-description. A creator’s account of their political role, a journalist’s characterization, and a measured audience statistic are not interchangeable.
  • Do not assume persuasion. The cited coverage documents platforms, access, and connections. It does not quantify how much any named influencer changed voters’ opinions or election outcomes.
