Apple’s “Wonderful tools” is a short animated film that opened the company’s September 2019 iPhone event. It moves through Apple’s product history by transforming one device into another, from the original Macintosh 128K toward the Mac Pro.
What is Apple’s “Wonderful tools” video?
Apple’s “Wonderful tools” is an animated event opener shown during the iPhone 11 launch week in September 2019. iMore described it as a near two-minute journey through Apple hardware, with products morphing into one another. Apple characterized the film as “an amazing journey through [Apple’s] hardware, software and services,” as reported by iMore on September 12, 2019.
What appears in the montage?
The sequence begins with the original Macintosh 128K and moves through recognizable designs and interfaces, including the iPod click wheel, the iPhone Home button, Touch ID, and the iMac. The montage’s arc reaches from that first Macintosh toward the new Mac Pro of the 2019 event. Its central idea is continuity: tools change shape and capability, while remaining part of a longer product story.
What is the song and closing message?
iMore identifies the soundtrack as Les Gordon’s “Flirting With June.” The film ends with the caption: “Give people wonderful tools and they’ll do wonderful things.” No individual speaker is identified for that line; it is presented as the video’s closing text.
