There is no official Omega ranking of its Bond editions, but five releases stand out for their place in the partnership’s history, distinctive commemorative designs, and ties to major franchise milestones. The list below is a historical selection—not a rarity, resale-value, or investment ranking.
First, what counts as an Omega Bond limited edition?
Omega dates its Bond association to GoldenEye in 1995, and describes special-edition watches as one way the partnership has been celebrated. That history is broader than the limited editions: a watch worn on screen is not automatically a numbered Bond edition, and a Bond-branded commemorative watch is not necessarily the model worn by a character in its associated film. Omega’s Bond history and its 60th-anniversary feature provide context for the distinction.
These five editions are arranged as a narrative through the film partnership, from its early commemorations to the latest film-linked 007 Edition. They are not ranked by scarcity or market performance.
Five notable Omega James Bond limited editions
1. 2002 Seamaster 40th-anniversary / Die Another Day edition
This edition is a natural starting point: a specialist overview identifies it as the first James Bond Limited Edition, created for the franchise’s 40th anniversary and the release of Die Another Day. Its significance is its role in establishing the commemorative Bond-watch format, rather than any claim that it is the rarest or most valuable. The available overview does not establish a reference number or production limit, so those details should not be assumed from the anniversary connection alone. See Fratello’s overview of Omega’s Bond limited editions.

2. 2006 Seamaster Planet Ocean “Casino Royale” Limited Series, ref. 2907.50.91
The Casino Royale Planet Ocean marked the relaunch-era film with a Bond-specific limited series in a different watch family from the Seamaster Diver 300M. Reproduced Omega press-kit text identifies the reference as 2907.50.91 and states a limit of 5,007 pieces. That production figure is a stated edition limit, not evidence of how many examples survive or are currently for sale. The source is reproduced Omega press-kit text.
3. 2012 Seamaster 50th-anniversary edition
The franchise’s 50th anniversary fell in the year Skyfall was released, giving this commemorative Seamaster a particularly strong milestone connection. It belongs on a Bond-edition timeline, but should not be conflated with watches simply seen in Skyfall: anniversary branding and screen appearance are separate facts. The available specialist overview documents the edition but does not establish a reference number or production limit here. Fratello’s edition overview covers its place in the series.

4. 2015 Seamaster 300 “Spectre” Limited Edition
The Spectre edition adds a vintage-inspired Seamaster 300 to a sequence otherwise represented by more modern Diver 300M and Planet Ocean models. That makes it a notable design change within the commemorative line as well as a direct film tie-in. The available overview establishes its place in the Bond limited-edition history, but not a production limit, reference, or strap configuration; those particulars should be checked against documentation for the exact watch rather than inferred. See Fratello’s overview.
5. 2020 Seamaster Diver 300M 007 Edition for No Time To Die
Omega says its Diver 300M 007 Edition launched for No Time To Die. The brand’s later Diver 300M collection drew design inspiration from this 007 Edition, including the domed sapphire crystal and mesh-bracelet styling. That influence does not make those later standard collection watches Bond limited editions. Omega’s 007 Edition announcement and later Diver 300M collection announcement make the distinction useful when comparing models.

Which Omega Bond watch is best for you?
“Best” depends on what matters to you; the documented history supports comparing film connection and design, not declaring a universal winner. Use the edition’s defining distinction as a starting point:
- For an early milestone: the 2002 40th-anniversary / Die Another Day edition is the foundational entry in this selection.
- For a documented production limit and a distinct model family: the 2006 Casino Royale Planet Ocean is the edition here with a stated limit and identified reference in the cited reproduced press-kit text.
- For a franchise anniversary: the 2012 Seamaster marks the 50th anniversary, while remaining distinct from watches merely associated with Skyfall.
- For a vintage-inspired design: the 2015 Spectre Seamaster 300 offers a different format from the Diver 300M and Planet Ocean.
- For the most recent film-linked entry in this selection: the 2020 Diver 300M 007 Edition was launched for No Time To Die.
What to verify before buying a pre-owned example
These are historical editions, and a model name or film association alone does not authenticate a listing. Check the exact watch and its documentation before relying on a seller’s description.
Rank #4
- Omega Seamaster Automatic Chronometer Black Dial Men's Watch 210.30.42.20.01.001
- Reference: Match the reference on the watch and its paperwork to the specific edition. The 2006 Casino Royale Planet Ocean is identified as ref. 2907.50.91; do not transfer that reference to other Bond models.
- Edition identity: Confirm that the particular watch is the commemorative or numbered edition being advertised—not a standard model with a similar case or design.
- Condition and provenance: Review the watch’s condition, service history, and available ownership and purchase documentation. The sources cited here do not establish the condition or authenticity of individual listings.
- Availability and price: Confirm current stock, seller terms, and asking price directly with the seller. No current inventory or comparable transaction data is established here, so the list cannot support a rarity, value, or investment ranking.
