The episode’s official description gives that decision the shape of a “wild adventure”; the more interesting question is whether the emotional cause and effect can keep pace with the upheaval.
What Episode 9 is actually about
Prime Video identifies the ninth episode as “Last Call,” released in the US on September 3, 2025, with a listed runtime of 1 hour and 3 minutes. Its official description says: “In the aftermath of the wedding, Belly makes a choice that leads her on a wild adventure and forever alters her future.” It also names Jeremiah’s struggle to make peace with Conrad and accept his new circumstances as part of the episode’s stakes. Prime Video’s episode listing.
That framing matters because the Paris chapter is not Episode 9’s official premise. Prime Video assigns the description “A year is a lifetime as Belly builds her new life in Paris” to Episode 10, “Last Year.” Episode 11, “At Last,” is the finale, which also takes place in Paris. Does the chaos feel earned?
The episode’s central challenge is not simply how quickly events move, but whether each turn feels like it grows out of the characters’ histories. A consequential choice can plausibly launch a new chapter; it lands more powerfully when the episode gives the choice, and the people affected by it, enough room to register.
#1 Best Overall
That is where “Last Call” invites a mixed response. Its official setup promises momentum and lasting consequences, but velocity alone is not emotional development. When the wedding’s aftermath and Belly’s decision push the story forward, the drama needs to make clear how those events alter the relationships at its center. If the transition feels more frantic than affecting, the gap is between the scale of the change and the space the episode gives its consequences.
Jeremiah’s adjustment is part of the story
Belly’s future is the most obvious axis of change, but Jeremiah’s difficulty accepting his new circumstances is not incidental background. Prime Video also highlights his effort to make peace with Conrad, placing the brothers’ relationship within the episode’s emotional frame. That gives “Last Call” a chance to show the cost of transition from more than one point of view.
Rank #2
The episode works best as a bridge when those parallel pressures feel connected: Belly’s decision changes the terms of the future, while Jeremiah and Conrad must reckon with what that future means for them. If one thread has to compete for attention, the result can feel like plot moving faster than the people inside it.
How it sets up the Paris episodes
The Paris premise belongs to “Last Year,” Episode 10, rather than “Last Call.” That distinction makes Episode 9’s role clearer: it is positioned around the post-wedding consequences and the decision that redirects Belly’s life, while the next episode’s official description makes the new life in Paris explicit. The distinction also gives the season a meaningful transition to manage—moving from the immediate impact of a choice to the experience of living with it.
For viewers following the relationship triangle from the season’s college-era setup, that shift is an opportunity to turn old history into new consequences. Prime Video describes Season 3 as beginning at the end of Belly’s junior year, with her future unsettled as Conrad returns to her life. The season listing establishes that broader context, but does not verify individual episode scenes beyond its synopsis.

“Last Call” has a clear dramatic job: turn the wedding’s aftermath into the decision that sends Belly toward a different future, while making room for Jeremiah’s adjustment and his relationship with Conrad. The premise offers plenty of forward motion. The risk is that the transition feels chaotic when the emotional consequences cannot settle before the next change arrives. Episode 10’s Paris setting is the next chapter, not Episode 9’s official story.
