When and where Glaser said it
Glaser hosted the 82nd Annual Golden Globes at the Beverly Hilton in Beverly Hills on January 5, 2025. The line came during the televised ceremony’s opening, which began with her greeting the audience: “Good evening, and welcome to the 82nd Golden Globes. Ozempic’s biggest night.” The Golden Globes later described Glaser as the first woman to host the televised ceremony solo.

How the joke fit the opening
The Ben Affleck line was one beat in a monologue that mixed Hollywood and political references. The Golden Globes’ retrospective noted Glaser’s opening “Ozempic’s biggest night” joke and her remark about powerful people in the room being unable to tell the country whom to vote for. The Associated Press characterized the set as pointed but less barbed than her roast work, and reported that Glaser said she was not there to roast the room. That broader description does not change the explicit wording of the Affleck joke.
