What arrived on Friday, May 9?
Nonnas — Netflix
The clearest broadly documented film pick for May 9 is Nonnas, a Netflix release. Vince Vaughn plays a man who opens an Italian restaurant staffed by grandmothers; the cast also includes Susan Sarandon, Lorraine Bracco, Talia Shire and Linda Cardellini. The Associated Press reported the streaming release date and premise in its May 9 release coverage.

Molly-Mae: Behind It All — Prime Video
Prime Video’s May 9 slate included Molly-Mae: Behind It All. Amazon describes the series as following Molly-Mae Hague as she adapts to motherhood after a high-profile breakup and prepares to launch her business, Maebe. See Amazon’s May 2025 entertainment announcement.
The Sexiest Man in Winnipeg — Prime Video, Canada
Amazon identifies this documentary as streaming in Canada on May 9. That listing does not establish U.S. availability; Prime Video catalogs vary by territory.

Which other May 9 titles were listed in Canada?
Tribute’s Canadian streaming roundup also listed A Deadly American Marriage and The Royals as Netflix arrivals on May 9. These are Canadian roundup listings, not confirmation of availability in every country. Check Tribute’s May 5–11 guide for its regional context.
What arrived around May 9?
The week’s dates matter: this is a May 5–11, 2025 watchlist, not a current-week schedule. Hulu’s monthly schedule places Vanderpump Villa season 2 on May 8, one day before its May 9 film and full-season additions. Hulu’s schedule includes removals as well as arrivals, so a title’s appearance on an old schedule does not establish that it remains available now.

How to use this list
- For a Friday film, start with Nonnas on Netflix or Summer of 69 on Hulu.
- For a full-season drop, Hulu listed season 7 of The UnXplained.
- For documentary viewing, Prime Video listed The Sexiest Man in Winnipeg specifically for Canada; Amazon’s description of Molly-Mae: Behind It All centers on Hague’s life and business plans.
- Treat the listed services and dates as historical, territory-specific release information—not a statement about current catalog status.
This is a selected roundup, not an exhaustive inventory of every platform’s releases for the week. The contemporaneous Axios week-of guide offers additional cross-service context.
