Mark Wahlberg and Rhea Durham reportedly met in New York City in 2001. They welcomed three children before marrying in Beverly Hills in August 2009, then had their fourth child in 2010. The earliest date and first-date story come from retrospective entertainment coverage, rather than an independently documented account.
2001: Their reported meeting and first date
Entertainment coverage places Wahlberg and Durham’s first meeting in New York City in 2001, during a press junket. In an account reproduced by Yahoo, Wahlberg said he invited Durham out and then asked her to go to church the next morning. He described their visit to St. Patrick’s Cathedral as their first date. That detail is his recollection as quoted in the coverage.
