To loop a Hindi video on YouTube Live, send it from FFmpeg to a YouTube encoder stream using the server URL and stream key shown in YouTube Live Control Room. Use FFmpeg’s real-time input pacing for a video file and confirm the loop option against your installed FFmpeg version. SRS is optional: it adds a self-hosted RTMP relay between FFmpeg and YouTube, but is not needed for the direct route.

Before you start

  • A video you are authorized to stream. Confirm you have the necessary rights to the video, soundtrack, and images. The technical setup does not establish copyright permission or YouTube monetization eligibility.
  • FFmpeg installed on a computer that can stay on. The direct method depends on the computer and its network remaining available during the event.
  • A YouTube live event and its current encoder details. You will need the server URL and private stream key displayed in Live Control Room.
  • Optional: SRS and a host for it. Use this only if you specifically need a self-hosted RTMP intermediary and are prepared to maintain the server and its network configuration.

Hindi does not change the mechanics: FFmpeg reads and sends the media as an encoder feed. This is a prerecorded video stream, not a camera-based live demonstration.

Direct method: FFmpeg to YouTube

1. Create or select a YouTube live event

  1. Open YouTube Live Control Room and create a stream or select the scheduled event you intend to use.
  2. Copy the server URL and stream key currently shown for that event. Keep the key private: do not put it in a public example, screenshot, repository, or chat. YouTube’s instructions for the encoder workflow are at Create a YouTube live stream with an encoder.
  3. If you use RTMPS, use the exact secure endpoint YouTube provides. Google describes RTMPS as RTMP over TLS/SSL and specifies port 443 for the connection: Delivering Live YouTube Content via RTMPS.

2. Check your local FFmpeg options

FFmpeg command-line options are order-sensitive and generally apply to the next input or output. Put file-input options before the matching -i. The -re option reads the input at its native frame rate (equivalent to -readrate 1), which is useful when a file needs to be sent at a live pace. It does not make the file repeat.

Loop syntax can vary by method and build. Check the documentation installed with your FFmpeg version using ffmpeg -h and consult the local documentation for its input-loop option. FFmpeg’s online command-line documentation is regenerated nightly and may not match an older local binary: FFmpeg documentation. The filter documentation also describes an infinite frame loop as loop=-1; that filter-level operation is not interchangeable in every situation with looping a media-file input: FFmpeg Filters Documentation.

Elebase USB to USB C Adapter for iPhone 18 Pro Max,USBC Car Charger Adapter
  • Read Before You Buy — No Video Output: These adapters support charging and USB 2.0 data transfer, but cannot transmit video signals. Except for standard USB webcams (which use USB data only), they are not compatible with HDMI/DisplayPort cables, video-capable USB-C hubs, or docking stations with video output.
  • Convert USB-A Ports to USB-C: Designed to connect USB-C earphones, cables, flash drives, card readers, and other USB-C accessories to standard USB-A ports. Plug-and-play with no drivers or software required.
  • Aluminum Alloy Housing: Built with a sturdy aluminum alloy shell that aids in heat dissipation and protects against daily wear and scratches. Designed to maintain a stable and secure connection.
  • Compact & Travel-Friendly: The ultra-compact design allows the adapter to stay plugged into your device without blocking adjacent ports or adding bulk, reducing wear and tear on your original USB ports.
  • 12-Month Warranty: Backed by a 12-month manufacturer warranty for peace of mind. Designed to meet strict quality control standards for reliable everyday performance.

3. Send the repeating file to YouTube

Use the following command shape only after verifying the loop option and placement for your installed build. Replace the bracketed values with your file path and the server URL and key from Live Control Room. Do not share a command containing your real key.

ffmpeg [verified input-loop option] -re -i "hindi-video.mp4" [optional encoding/output options] -f flv "[YouTube server URL]/[stream key]"

The brackets are explanatory placeholders, not literal FFmpeg syntax. Keep -re before the file’s -i. For RTMPS, use YouTube’s exact RTMPS server URL and the key in the format expected by the endpoint; do not substitute an SRS address here. The applicable resolution, frame rate, bitrate, and encoding settings depend on the current YouTube guidance and your event configuration; no single preset is established for every account or video.

4. Check the preview and start the event

  1. Run FFmpeg and check its output for connection errors.
  2. In Live Control Room, wait for the encoder preview. Check that picture and sound are present and correct.
  3. For a scheduled event, click Go live in Live Control Room after the preview is ready.
  4. Keep the computer and network running for the planned duration. YouTube says streams under 12 hours are automatically archived; this does not guarantee that a loop will run indefinitely or remove the need to manage the event and its archive.

Optional: use SRS as an RTMP relay

SRS is useful when you want an RTMP endpoint you operate yourself between the encoder and YouTube. It is an extra server to configure and keep running, not a requirement for looping a file or sending directly to YouTube.

  1. Follow the Docker setup in the stable SRS 6.0 getting-started documentation to run SRS: SRS Docker getting started.
  2. Configure FFmpeg to publish to the SRS RTMP application and stream URL, using the SRS example’s loop and live-pacing options where appropriate. The documented example uses -stream_loop -1 -re; its endpoint is for SRS, not YouTube.
  3. Configure the relay’s onward delivery to the YouTube endpoint and key shown in Live Control Room, following the SRS and YouTube configuration applicable to your setup.
  4. Verify the relay and YouTube preview before starting the scheduled event. Keep both the SRS host and the publishing computer available for the event.
Route Components Trade-off
Direct FFmpeg and YouTube Fewer components; publish to YouTube’s own endpoint.
Via SRS FFmpeg, an SRS host, and YouTube Adds a self-hosted RTMP endpoint and control over that ingest layer, but also requires maintaining SRS and its host.

Common problems and fixes

  • The video plays once and stops: -re controls input pacing, not repetition. Verify the correct input-loop option for your FFmpeg build and place it before the file input as required.
  • FFmpeg rejects an option: Check the locally installed FFmpeg help and documentation. Online documentation may describe a newer build.
  • YouTube does not receive the feed: Recheck the current server URL, key, and endpoint type in Live Control Room. Make sure you have not used an SRS endpoint in the direct-to-YouTube command, or a YouTube endpoint as the SRS publishing destination.
  • The event has no preview: Check FFmpeg’s connection output, then verify that the correct event’s encoder details were used. Wait for the preview before selecting Go live.
  • Picture or audio is wrong: Review the source file and the encoding/output options in the command. The appropriate output settings depend on the source and current YouTube guidance; this workflow does not establish one universal bitrate or resolution.
  • The stream stops unexpectedly: Check that the computer, network, and—if used—SRS host remain available. The cited setup guidance does not establish uninterrupted operation or a particular host’s capacity.
  • The key may have been exposed: Treat it as private and replace or reset it through YouTube’s stream settings before continuing.

Or let it run in the cloud

If you want a YouTube loop without leaving a computer running at home, StreamNeo runs uploaded videos from the cloud. Upload the recording, add your YouTube stream key, and go live. It plays uploaded videos, not a camera feed.
