IRL Pro’s documented workflow is for sending a live feed from an Android phone; it does not document scheduling or looping stored news videos into a 24/7 playlist. For recorded segments, use a YouTube Live-compatible continuous encoder. For a phone-originated live presenter or camera feed, IRL Pro can be configured to send a live stream—but the cited setup uses an Enhanced IRL stream key, not a direct YouTube playlist connection.
Choose the right workflow first

If your goal is a news playlist, investigate the encoder workflow rather than treating IRL Pro as a playlist player. YouTube’s encoder information is at YouTube Live streaming options.
Set up IRL Pro for a live phone broadcast
These steps follow the documented Enhanced IRL guide. They describe broadcasting a live feed from Android, not setting up a 24/7 playlist or a verified direct-to-YouTube configuration. Interface labels may change, so confirm them in the current app and dashboard.
- Install and sign in. Install IRL Pro on an Android phone and sign in to the relevant streaming service’s dashboard.
- Get the destination’s publish URL. In its dashboard, open Stream Keys, choose RTMP or SRT, then use Publish to copy the full URL. Do not retype the key. The guide says an SRT key is embedded in the URL’s
streamid; with RTMP, the key is already at the end of the URL. See the Enhanced IRL guide. - Match the protocol in IRL Pro. In the app’s broadcast settings, choose the same protocol and paste the entire publish URL into the URL or server field. The guide recommends SRT for a less stable mobile connection, but says the app sends over a single connection and does not bond multiple connections.
- Set output within the destination’s limits. Choose resolution, frame rate, and bitrate within the plan’s documented cap. Do not treat a service-specific cap as YouTube’s general ingest recommendation; the cited guide’s bitrate limits apply to that service’s plans.
- Start and check the signal. Begin broadcasting, then confirm that the dashboard changes from “No signal” to “Streaming” and inspect its reported bitrate.
- Test where you will broadcast. Start conservatively relative to the plan cap and adjust after a test under expected network conditions. For a fixed location, verify sustained upload and recovery behavior before relying on the setup.
Set up a 24/7 playlist of recorded news segments
Use a continuous encoder workflow compatible with YouTube Live. YouTube says first-time live-stream activation can take up to 24 hours. Once live streaming is enabled, the general connection sequence is to prepare a stream in YouTube Studio, send its details to the encoder, check the preview, and then go live.

- Enable live streaming. If the channel has not streamed before, enable the feature in YouTube Studio and allow for activation, which YouTube says can take up to 24 hours.
- Open Live Control Room. Create or select a stream in YouTube Studio’s Live Control Room.
- Copy the connection details. Copy YouTube’s server URL and stream key from the stream setup. Keep the key private; anyone with access to it may be able to send a stream to your channel.
- Configure the encoder. Paste the server URL and key into the encoder’s corresponding fields. Set up the recorded files as a continuous playlist and configure looping or scheduled rotation in the encoder itself; confirm that the selected service or software actually supports that behavior.
- Start sending and inspect the preview. Start the encoder, then check the Live Control Room preview and verify the picture, sound, stream title, and destination before making the broadcast public.
- Test privately or unlisted. Check playback from the devices your intended viewers use. Test how the encoder handles a playlist ending, a source-file problem, a lost connection, and a restart before relying on it for a continuous schedule.
YouTube describes encoder and service options for continuous pre-recorded streams on its Live streaming options page. That documentation does not establish which provider is best for a channel in India, its local ingest or support, or current provider prices. Compare playlist handling, restart and failure monitoring, output quality, local recording, support, and total cost before choosing.
Protect the channel and clear the content rights
Do not assume a broadcast or clip is free to rebroadcast because it is publicly available. YouTube says live streams are scanned for matches to third-party content, including another live broadcast. A match may cause a placeholder to replace the stream, an interruption, or termination. Even licensed material can be interrupted if the rights owner has not allowlisted the channel through Content ID. Review YouTube’s live-stream copyright guidance.

- Obtain the rights needed for every news broadcast, clip, image, music track, and other element in the playlist.
- Make sure the rights cover live retransmission on your channel and territory, and that any required Content ID allowlisting is in place.
- Follow YouTube’s live-stream terms, which require necessary rights and compliance with applicable law in the territory where the stream is available: YouTube Terms of Service.

Plan for long-stream archives and interruptions
YouTube says streams under 12 hours can be automatically archived, while a stream exceeding 12 hours may not be captured at all. Streams longer than 12 hours may also have limited or unavailable DVR rewind. Do not rely on a single 24-hour broadcast to produce an intact replay. Troubleshoot the setup
- The dashboard says “No signal.” Check that broadcasting has started, that the phone and dashboard use the same RTMP or SRT protocol, and that the full publish URL—not a manually retyped key—was pasted into the correct field.
- The stream connects but playback is unstable. Test sustained upload under the expected network conditions. For IRL Pro, try SRT when the mobile connection is less stable, as the cited guide recommends, and lower the output settings if they exceed the destination plan’s documented cap.
- The recorded playlist stops or fails to restart. Confirm that the selected encoder supports playlist looping and automatic restart, then test a complete playlist cycle and a forced disconnection before launch. YouTube’s general connection instructions alone do not configure those behaviors.
- The live stream is interrupted after starting. Check YouTube’s copyright notices and Content ID status. A third-party match can interrupt a live stream even when you believe you have permission; confirm that the rights cover the use and that the channel is allowlisted where required.
- The 24-hour replay is missing or incomplete. A stream longer than 12 hours may not be archived. Use a local recording if a complete archive is essential rather than relying on YouTube’s automatic capture.
