As of October 3, 2026, the documented Enhanced IRL beta trial is over. Enhanced IRL’s account guide said its beta was free until September 30, 2026, with the first charge scheduled for October 1 for subscribers who had not cancelled. That offer does not establish that a free trial is available now. IRL Pro is a separate Android streaming app; the documented setup shows how to test an encoder-to-YouTube workflow, not access to a current trial.
IRL Pro and Enhanced IRL are different products
IRL Pro is an Android app for streaming to YouTube and other RTMP/SRT destinations. Enhanced IRL is a separate service with stream keys, account settings and a dashboard. Enhanced IRL’s guide documents using IRL Pro as an encoder to send a stream to that service. Keep the roles distinct: IRL Pro sends the stream; Enhanced IRL receives it and can provide a configured YouTube output workflow.
The documented beta dates concern Enhanced IRL, not a free trial of the IRL Pro app. The guide does not establish whether IRL Pro itself has a trial, nor whether all Enhanced IRL features were included in its beta.
What the documented test can tell you
You can check whether your Android encoder connects to the selected Enhanced IRL stream key, whether the dashboard changes from No signal to Streaming, what current bitrate it reports, and whether signal and bitrate remain steady along a representative route. Those are connection and stability observations; they are not a performance guarantee or a YouTube audience test.

- IRL Pro and the service must be set to the same protocol: SRT or RTMP.
- For SRT, the guide says the URL carries the key in its
streamid. - For RTMP, the URL ends with the key.
- The guide recommends SRT rather than RTMP for a moving, single-SIM field test. This workflow uses one connection; it does not test bonding multiple connections.
Set up the test
- Confirm YouTube eligibility. YouTube says a channel needs to be verified and have no live-streaming restrictions in the previous 90 days to live stream. This is general live-stream eligibility guidance.
- Choose an encoder workflow. The steps here use IRL Pro on Android and an Enhanced IRL service stream key. YouTube’s separate native mobile workflow has additional eligibility requirements; do not apply those requirements automatically to an encoder-based workflow.
- Configure the YouTube destination in Enhanced IRL if needed. In the account wizard, select YouTube, enter the channel name and paste the stream key provided by YouTube. Enhanced IRL says this channel is used for Cloud OBS output and chat for automatic scene switching. Keep this YouTube output key separate from the Enhanced IRL input stream key used in IRL Pro.
- Copy the Enhanced IRL input details. Select the intended SRT or RTMP service stream key and copy its publish URL and key details as presented by the service.
- Match the protocol in IRL Pro. Enter the service URL and key using the corresponding SRT or RTMP configuration. Do not combine an SRT setting with an RTMP destination or confuse the service input key with the YouTube output key.
- Start a short test broadcast. Check the Enhanced IRL dashboard for a change from No signal to Streaming, then note the current bitrate shown in the live-signal area.
- Test where you intend to use it. For a field stream, use a representative route and watch whether signal and bitrate stay steady. Begin below the service key’s cap; the guide recommends starting around half the cap and raising the bitrate only while it remains stable.
Interpret the service caps correctly
Enhanced IRL’s reviewed setup guide lists the following stream-key caps and associated starting formats. These are Enhanced IRL plan figures, not YouTube-wide limits or a promise that a particular network can sustain that bitrate.
| Enhanced IRL plan | Guide-listed cap | Guide-listed format |
|---|---|---|
| Stream Key Lite | 9,000 kbps | 1080p at 30 fps |
| Stream Key | 9,000 kbps | 1080p at 30 fps |
| OBS Basic | 6,000 kbps | 720p at 30 fps |
| OBS Standard | 6,000 kbps | 1080p at 30 fps |
| OBS Pro | 10,000 kbps | 1080p at 60 fps |
Use the cap for the key you actually selected. For example, the guide’s 9,000 kbps figure applies to its Stream Key and Stream Key Lite plans; it is not a universal setting for every key or destination.

Know which YouTube rules apply
Encoder-based streaming
YouTube’s general live-stream guidance requires a verified channel without live-streaming restrictions in the prior 90 days. YouTube also provides the stream key used to connect an encoder to a live stream. Treat that platform key as the output credential for YouTube, not as the Enhanced IRL input key for IRL Pro.
Native mobile streaming
YouTube’s native mobile route is separate from sending an encoder stream from IRL Pro. Its guidance lists a minimum of 50 subscribers, enabled live streaming and a supported device; first-time activation can take up to 24 hours. The 50-subscriber requirement is for native mobile live streaming and should not be represented as a requirement for every encoder workflow.

Copyright and reused material
A successful connection only establishes that the stream reached the service; it does not establish that the content is permitted on YouTube or eligible for monetization. Before broadcasting a documentary, clips, music or other third-party material, confirm that you have the necessary rights and review YouTube’s current copyright and reused-content policies. The setup information described here does not determine whether a particular video qualifies.
Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone. What this setup does not test
- Multi-network bonding: The documented IRL Pro workflow sends over one connection. Enhanced IRL’s guide says multiple connections require an SRTLA path with another compatible encoder, such as Moblin or BELABOX.
- Every IRL Pro feature: The setup guide documents a particular service-key route, not the complete feature set of IRL Pro.
- A current Enhanced IRL free trial: The dated beta offer ended September 30, 2026; the documented dates do not prove that another trial is available.
- Guaranteed output quality or reliability: The dashboard’s signal and bitrate are useful observations, but the guide does not report trial performance statistics or guarantee results on a given route.
Troubleshooting the test
- The dashboard remains at No signal: Check that IRL Pro is broadcasting, the URL and key belong to the selected service stream key, and the protocol matches on both ends. Confirm that you have not pasted the YouTube output key where the Enhanced IRL input key is required.
- It connects but the bitrate is unstable: For a moving single-SIM test, try the guide’s recommended SRT protocol. Lower the bitrate below the key cap, starting around half the cap, and increase it only after the reading stays steady.
- The stream works in the service but not on YouTube: Check the YouTube destination configured in the account wizard and confirm that the YouTube-provided output key is entered there. Verify that the channel meets YouTube’s general live-stream eligibility requirements.
- You expected bonded cellular connections: This IRL Pro path uses one connection. The guide identifies an SRTLA setup with another compatible encoder as the route for multiple connections.
Or let it run in the cloud
If your aim is a continuous YouTube channel rather than a moving IRL field test, StreamNeo is a different workflow: upload a recording or build a playlist, add your YouTube stream key, and go live. Nothing has to stay on at home; it plays uploaded videos rather than broadcasting a camera. It streams the uploaded quality up to 4K 60fps at one flat price per slot, with automatic recovery if YouTube drops the stream. The first day is free with no card. Monthly pricing is $9.99 per month. Start with StreamNeo.
