To give Streamlabs Mobile the best chance of staying live during a long YouTube broadcast, keep Android from restricting its background activity, allow the app the data access it needs, choose an output your phone and upload connection can sustain, and prepare the phone to avoid interruptions. No setting guarantees an uninterrupted stream: Android menus differ by device and version, and crashes, heat, battery limits, or network failures can still stop a broadcast. Test your own setup before an important session.
Confirm your YouTube channel can go live
Set up YouTube before adjusting the phone for a long session. Streamlabs says first-time mobile livestreaming requires phone verification and a setup period. Connect your YouTube account in Streamlabs and confirm that the channel is eligible to start a live broadcast. YouTube and Streamlabs onboarding screens and eligibility requirements can change, so check the current screens in your account. See Streamlabs’ mobile YouTube setup guide.
Stop Android from restricting Streamlabs
Check the app’s battery mode
On Android versions that provide per-app battery controls, find Streamlabs in the app’s battery settings and make sure it is not restricted for the planned session. Android describes Unrestricted as allowing background work, while Optimized is the default; allowing more background activity may use more battery. The precise menu path and available modes depend on the Android version and phone maker. Android’s guidance on background optimization explains the trade-off.
Changing battery treatment can help prevent background work from being limited, but it does not prevent an app crash, operating-system intervention, thermal limits, or a lost connection. It also does not establish that Streamlabs will reliably keep broadcasting with the screen locked on every phone.

- 【Strong Adsorption】The inspiration of the silicone phone suction case comes from the adhesive force of the octopus. Each suction cup phone mount is 3.15 inches long and 2.17 inches wide, with 24 independent suction cups providing a stronger and more stable suction force, so you don't have to worry about your phone falling during use.
- 【Back of Phone Suction Grip】Remove the adhesive film on the phone suction cup and stick it on the phone case. You can then fix the phone on any smooth surface, which is very convenient. (The phone suction cup cannot be removed and reused after being attached to the phone case. It is recommended to attach it to a regular phone case, not a valuable one.)
- 【Widely Used】Our non-slip silicone phone sticky grip mount attaches to almost any flat phone case and make it compatible with common mobile phones such as iPhone and Android. You can shoot, watch videos or video calls in the kitchen, gym, dance studio, bathroom and other places.
- 【Capture the Wonderful Picture】Whether you are a TikTok creator or just like to share videos and photos, this phone suction cup can help you hands-free capture wonderful videos and photos for sharing with friends.
- 【Note】You can fix the phone suction cup on a smooth surface such as a mirror or glass. If necessary, wipe the suction cup with a damp cloth to obtain stronger suction. Before releasing your hand, make sure the phone is firmly fixed. (Not applicable to rough walls, wooden surfaces, and other uneven surfaces)
On Samsung Galaxy, review sleeping-app lists
Samsung Galaxy phones offer Sleeping apps, Deep sleeping apps, and Never sleeping apps lists. Check that Streamlabs is not in either sleeping list; for a long session, you can consider adding it to Never sleeping apps. Samsung notes that menus and labels vary across models and One UI versions. Allowing an app to remain active in the background may increase battery use. See Samsung’s guide to sleeping apps.
Make sure data restrictions do not block the stream
If Data Saver or an app-level background-data restriction is enabled, review whether Streamlabs is allowed the data access it needs. Android’s data controls vary by device and version; Google describes allowing unrestricted data access while Data Saver is on in its background-data guidance. That guidance is not a test of Streamlabs livestreaming, so verify the setting on your own phone and connection.

- SUPERIOR COMFORT — Unlike traditional circular ear buds, the design of EarPods is defined by the geometry of the ear. Which makes them more comfortable for more people than any other ear bud–style headphones.
- HIGH-QUALITY AUDIO — The speakers inside EarPods have been engineered to maximize sound output and minimize sound loss, which means you get high-quality audio.
- BUILT-IN REMOTE — EarPods with USB-C plug also include a built-in remote that lets you adjust the volume, control the playback of music and video, and answer or end calls with a pinch of the cord.
- COMPATIBILITY — Works with all devices that have a USB-C port.
- INTEGRATED MICROPHONE — A built-in microphone precisely captures your voice while you’re on the phone, taking a FaceTime call, or summoning Siri — so you’re always heard loud and clear.
Choose a stream output your phone and connection can sustain
Streamlabs Mobile’s Android streaming settings expose resolution, expected frame rate, and maximum bitrate. The official guide does not establish a single best preset for every phone or upload connection. If the device or connection struggles, start with a more conservative output and validate the stream before relying on it. Increase quality only when the phone remains stable and the upload connection can support it. Streamlabs’ mobile streaming guide describes these controls but does not give a universal cross-device setting.
Run a short private or otherwise low-stakes test using the same phone, network, screen state, and settings you plan to use. Confirm the stream starts, remains connected, and looks and sounds acceptable. A test cannot guarantee a later session will be uninterrupted, but it can expose problems with your particular setup before a critical broadcast.

Prepare the phone to reduce interruptions
- Start with a full charge. Streamlabs recommends fully charging the phone before going live and keeping a charger nearby. Its guide advises avoiding charging during a stream if possible because it can strain the phone battery; this is Streamlabs’ recommendation, not a universal outcome for every device or charger.
- Close apps you do not need. Streamlabs recommends closing open apps before a broadcast.
- Silence interruptions. Turn on Do Not Disturb or a similar mode so notifications are less likely to interrupt you or appear during the stream.
- Check conditions during your test. If the phone becomes unstable or the app stops, shorten the session or adjust your setup rather than assuming a battery setting will overcome device limits.
Streamlabs also lists a power bank, wireless microphone, and gimbal or tripod as potentially useful mobile-streaming accessories. A power bank may provide additional battery capacity, but the cited guidance does not establish a particular capacity, model, or runtime. Accessories are optional; they do not prevent Android restrictions or guarantee a stable connection. See Streamlabs Mobile.
Consider Network Boost only as an optional connection aid
Streamlabs describes Network Boost as using multiple connections, such as Wi-Fi and cellular, to support stream reliability. Check whether the feature is available in your app and understand how it uses your connections. It is not a guarantee against a dropped broadcast. Streamlabs’ Network Boost guide describes the feature.

Troubleshoot a stream that stops or struggles
| Symptom | What to check | Practical next step |
|---|---|---|
| Streamlabs stops working in the background | App battery mode and, on Galaxy devices, Sleeping or Deep sleeping lists. | Remove Streamlabs from restricted or sleeping states where the phone offers those controls; test again. This may increase battery use and cannot rule out crashes or OS intervention. |
| The app cannot connect or loses its connection | Data Saver, app-level data restrictions, and the network connection in use. | Allow the necessary data access and test on the intended connection. If available, you can evaluate Network Boost, but it does not guarantee continuity. |
| Video or audio becomes unstable | Whether the selected resolution, frame rate, and maximum bitrate exceed what this phone or upload connection can sustain. | Reduce output settings and run another test on the same device and network. |
| The phone runs low on power or the session is interrupted | Starting charge, unnecessary open apps, and notification settings. | Begin fully charged, close apps, enable Do Not Disturb, and keep a charger nearby. Streamlabs recommends avoiding charging during a stream if possible. |
| You cannot start a YouTube broadcast | Whether the channel has completed the required setup and is eligible to go live. | Check YouTube account status and Streamlabs’ current mobile setup instructions before the planned session. |
