You can loop Telugu song video files on YouTube Live by playing them through an encoder such as OBS, which sends the playlist as a live feed. For a 24/7 broadcast, the encoder must keep running: on a local setup that means keeping your computer and internet connection available, or you can use a cloud playout service. Before you start, make sure you have rights to livestream every song and video in the playlist; owning a file does not grant broadcast permission.
How a playlist becomes a YouTube livestream
YouTube does not turn a folder of prerecorded videos into a live broadcast by itself. An encoder plays or manages the files and sends the resulting feed to YouTube. YouTube’s HLS ingestion documentation describes one way to send an encoder feed; a local program such as OBS is another route. The exact looping controls depend on the software you choose, so verify that it can repeat your playlist continuously before relying on it for an unattended stream.
Prepare the channel and playlist
- Check live-stream readiness. In YouTube Studio, create or schedule a live broadcast and locate the current stream setup details, including the stream key and ingest information. Studio labels and steps can change, so follow the interface shown in your account. Enter the stream key only into the encoder you intend to use, and keep it private: anyone with access to it may be able to broadcast to your channel.
- Build a playlist of files. Add the video files in the order you want them to play. Check that each file plays correctly and that the playlist or playout software is configured to repeat. Looping behavior is software-specific; do a test before treating it as an always-on schedule.
- Choose where the encoder runs. With local software, the computer plays the files and sends the stream over your home upload connection. With cloud playout, media is uploaded and the encoder runs remotely; the service’s account, configuration, and infrastructure then become dependencies.
- Test using cleared material. Start with songs and videos you have permission to livestream. Confirm that permission covers the relevant territories and any recording or archive you plan to leave available. If a rights holder uses Content ID, ask whether your channel can be added to its allowlist.
- Start the broadcast and monitor it. Check YouTube’s live preview and the encoder’s health indicators. For a 24/7 channel, decide who will notice an interruption, restore the feed, update the playlist, and respond to rights claims.
Run the playlist locally with OBS
OBS Studio’s official streaming guidance covers configuring and troubleshooting an OBS stream. OBS is free and open-source. The exact controls for repeating video sources can depend on the source type and OBS version; configure the playlist or media source to loop, then confirm it returns to the beginning after the final item.
- Install OBS Studio from its official site and open the streaming settings. Use the Auto-Configuration Wizard if you need a starting configuration, as OBS recommends for basic settings.
- In YouTube Studio, create the broadcast and copy its current stream key. In OBS, open Settings > Stream, select YouTube if offered, and connect or enter the key according to the current OBS workflow. Do not share or publish the key.
- Add the playlist or media sources that will play your files, set the desired order and repeat behavior, and check both picture and sound in OBS’s preview.
- Start streaming from OBS, then confirm that YouTube receives the feed and that the broadcast preview is playing as expected.
- Keep the computer powered, OBS open, and the internet connection available for the entire time you want the local stream to run. A computer restart, power loss, software failure, or unstable upload connection can interrupt it.
There is no bitrate, resolution, or upload-speed figure established here as a guarantee for this playlist or connection. Choose settings appropriate to your source and connection, follow OBS’s current guidance, and test the actual stream. OBS identifies rising dropped-frame counts and a yellow or red connection indicator as signs that the connection is unstable or cannot sustain the selected bitrate.

Protect the broadcast from copyright interruptions
YouTube says, “All live streams are scanned for matches to third-party content, including copyrighted content in the form of another live broadcast.” A match can lead to a placeholder image, temporary interruption, or termination. This is especially important for a Telugu old-songs playlist: a song being old, widely shared, or saved as a file does not establish that it is free to broadcast.
YouTube also warns: “If your channel isn’t added to their allowlist, your live stream can be interrupted even if you’ve licensed the content.” If you have permission, ask the rights holder about Content ID allowlisting as well as the scope of the license. Archived streams may also receive Content ID claims after the live broadcast ends. These are platform warnings, not a decision about the rights to any specific song or a substitute for legal advice. See YouTube Help: Copyright issues with live streams.

Local computer or cloud playout?
| Consideration | Local encoder | Cloud playout |
|---|---|---|
| Where it runs | Your computer runs the playback and encoder software. | A provider-operated remote system runs the playout; the provider’s description is the source for its features. |
| What must remain available | Your computer, power, software, and home upload connection. | The cloud service plus your account and configuration; details vary by provider. |
| Control | Files and stream settings are managed on your computer. | Some services describe uploading media and ordering a playlist remotely; confirm the specific service’s current features and terms. |
| Cost and reliability | Depends on your existing equipment and connection; no universal total is established. | Prices, limits, support, and uptime commitments depend on the service. Compare its current terms; no independent reliability figure is established here. |
OBS’s documentation supports the local software route. Cloud providers describe the remote route, but provider claims about monitoring or reconnecting should be treated as vendor descriptions, not independent uptime guarantees.

Troubleshoot common interruptions
- YouTube is not receiving the feed: Check that the broadcast is live in Studio, the encoder is connected to the current ingest details, and the stream key was copied correctly. If you exposed the key, replace it through YouTube Studio and update the encoder.
- The picture freezes or drops frames: OBS says increasing dropped frames and a yellow or red connection indicator point to an unstable connection or one that cannot sustain the selected bitrate. Follow OBS’s streaming guidance, use the Auto-Configuration Wizard as a starting point, and test again; no particular internet plan guarantees 24/7 continuity.
- The playlist stops at the last file: Check the source or playlist’s repeat setting and test the transition from the final item back to the first. Loop behavior varies by software.
- The stream shows a placeholder or is interrupted: YouTube may have detected third-party material. Review the claim and rights status; if licensed, ask the rights holder about allowlisting your channel.
- The broadcast stops while unattended: On a local setup, check for power, computer, OBS, and connection failures. A remote service may have its own recovery behavior, but confirm that behavior and any service commitments with the provider.
