Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitchesFind Drivers →Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errorsFree Scan →Shroud is reported to use OBS, but the available report is secondary—not a confirmation from Shroud—and does not establish whether OBS is still his current setup.
What the report establishes
A StreamYard search result for an article titled “What Streaming Software Does Shroud Use? (And What You Should Use)” identifies OBS as Shroud’s streaming software. The underlying page could not be retrieved, so this should be treated as secondary reporting rather than a first-party disclosure. No first-party statement or current configuration evidence establishes his software today.
There is no verified information here about Shroud’s OBS version, scenes, encoder, or stream settings. Twitch’s official recommended-software listing includes Streamlabs Desktop among common broadcasting tools, but it does not document Shroud’s setup.
Can you use OBS too?
Yes. OBS is free and open source. The OBS Project’s Help Portal says, “OBS has no watermarks or other limitations and can be used commercially with no restrictions.” It also says OBS contains no advertisements or bundled software and warns that requests to pay for OBS are a scam. Download it from the official OBS Project site and use the OBS Help Portal for documentation.

Start with OBS’s configuration wizard
OBS recommends opening Tools > Auto Configuration Wizard to establish most basic settings. This is general setup guidance, not evidence of Shroud’s personal configuration. Adjust settings for your own computer, connection, content, and streaming platform rather than trying to reproduce settings that have not been verified.
When a different kind of stream is the goal
OBS is for producing a live broadcast from your computer. If your goal instead is to keep a YouTube channel live around the clock using uploaded videos, StreamNeo is a separate cloud service—not the software Shroud is reported to use. It loops uploaded videos or playlists to YouTube, so your computer does not need to stay on.
