If your LiveReacting YouTube stream disconnects when the playlist ends, check whether Play in loop is enabled on the Video Playlist layer. With looping off, LiveReacting stops playback after the last video; with looping on, it returns to the first item. If the stream stops partway through a video, that is a separate issue: check YouTube stream health, the encoder, and your upload connection.
First, identify where playback stopped
Compare the stream’s end time with the playlist. Did the final video finish normally, or did the stream stop during a video or before the final item began? A stop precisely at the playlist boundary points to the playlist’s end behavior or the configured stream duration. A mid-playback stop calls for stream and connection diagnostics instead.
- Ended with the final clip: check the loop setting and intended stream duration.
- Ended before the playlist finished: check YouTube’s Live Control Room stream health, encoder status, and upload capacity.
Keep the playlist running continuously
- Open the LiveReacting project and select the Video Playlist layer.
- Enable Play in loop.
- Check the stream duration setting against the run you want. Looping controls what happens when the playlist reaches its last item; duration controls how long the stream is scheduled to run.
LiveReacting’s Video Playlists Component help page says that with “Play in loop” disabled, the last video stops when it is over; with the option enabled, the first video starts again after the last. If your account’s controls use different wording, verify the current setting in the project.
End after one playlist pass
If you want one pass rather than a repeating stream, leave looping off and set Stream Duration to the total runtime of the playlist. Add the durations of all videos, then enter that sum in Settings. This aligns the planned stream end with the end of the playlist; allow for any other timing needs in your production.

- Read Before You Buy — No Video Output: These adapters support charging and USB 2.0 data transfer, but cannot transmit video signals. Except for standard USB webcams (which use USB data only), they are not compatible with HDMI/DisplayPort cables, video-capable USB-C hubs, or docking stations with video output.
- Convert USB-A Ports to USB-C: Designed to connect USB-C earphones, cables, flash drives, card readers, and other USB-C accessories to standard USB-A ports. Plug-and-play with no drivers or software required.
- Aluminum Alloy Housing: Built with a sturdy aluminum alloy shell that aids in heat dissipation and protects against daily wear and scratches. Designed to maintain a stable and secure connection.
- Compact & Travel-Friendly: The ultra-compact design allows the adapter to stay plugged into your device without blocking adjacent ports or adding bulk, reducing wear and tear on your original USB ports.
- 12-Month Warranty: Backed by a 12-month manufacturer warranty for peace of mind. Designed to meet strict quality control standards for reliable everyday performance.
For a stream you intend to stop yourself rather than at a preset duration, LiveReacting’s Settings guide describes the I’ll stop my stream manually option. Confirm the available controls in your current project.
If the stream stopped before the playlist ended
- Open YouTube Live Control Room and inspect the stream health and any reported warnings.
- Check whether the encoder is still running and whether it reports an error.
- Check upload capacity against the total streaming bitrate. YouTube recommends having 20% headroom above that bitrate; a connectivity disruption can also break a stream.
- Test and monitor the encoder and network setup before relying on a long-running broadcast.
These checks address interruptions, not a normal end-of-playlist stop. YouTube’s live streaming troubleshooting guide also distinguishes encoder startup errors from playlist behavior. For certain third-party encoder startup errors, YouTube advises getting a new stream key in Live Control Room and updating the encoder. If a third-party integration signs in without using a stream key, YouTube directs creators to the software provider. Use those steps when the corresponding encoder error applies, not as the first response to a stream that ended exactly with its final clip.

Plan for a YouTube replay
If you need an archive, account for YouTube’s stated limit: streams under 12 hours can be automatically archived, while streams longer than 12 hours may not be captured at all. A continuous loop can outlast that window, so do not assume that a long-running broadcast will produce a complete replay. See YouTube’s Archive live streams guidance for the current details.
