What to watch, by mood and audience
For gothic horror: Nosferatu
Robert Eggers’s reimagining of the classic vampire story stars Bill Skarsgård as Count Orlok, Nicholas Hoult as Thomas Hutter, and Lily-Rose Depp as Ellen. Its appeal lies in gothic atmosphere, horror, and touches of black comedy. It was listed for PVOD on January 21, with Amazon among the rent-or-buy options—not as a subscription-streaming title.
For psychological suspense: Blink Twice
Zoë Kravitz’s directorial debut follows Frida, played by Naomi Ackie, a cocktail waitress invited by tech mogul Slater King (Channing Tatum) to his private island. The apparently idyllic getaway turns sinister. Tom’s Guide listed it on Prime Video from January 21.
