सीधा जवाब: अपनी स्थिर upload speed का करीब 80% या उससे कम कुल stream bitrate रखें और उसी मार्जिन में फिट होने वाला resolution चुनें। सीमित या बदलती upload speed पर 720p30 एक सावधान शुरुआती विकल्प है—यह हर कनेक्शन के लिए पक्का preset नहीं। YouTube की H.264 ingest तालिका 720p30 के लिए 8 Mbps recommended bitrate बताती है; इसका मतलब यह नहीं कि हर कम-upload कनेक्शन इसे लगातार भेज पाएगा।
OBS में bitrate Settings → Output में और output resolution तथा FPS Settings → Video में तय करें। पहले वास्तविक वीडियो और audio के साथ test करें, फिर YouTube की stream health और OBS के dropped-frame संकेतक देखकर समायोजन करें।
कितनी upload speed और bitrate चाहिए?
Download speed नहीं, upload speed मापें: OBS को वीडियो YouTube तक भेजना होता है। YouTube upload bandwidth का लगभग 20% खाली रखने की सलाह देता है, क्योंकि दूसरे उपकरणों और नेटवर्क गतिविधि को भी क्षमता चाहिए। इसलिए उपलब्ध upload के लगभग 80% को कुल stream bitrate की ऊपरी सीमा मानकर चलें—और audio bitrate तथा बाकी नेटवर्क traffic के लिए जगह छोड़ें। यह एक व्यावहारिक सीमा है, uninterrupted stream की गारंटी नहीं। YouTube की streaming tips इस headroom और साझा network की जरूरत समझाती हैं।
YouTube की H.264 live-ingest तालिका के मान नीचे दिए हैं। Minimum को लक्ष्य न मानें: अस्थिर कनेक्शन में recommended मान भेजने की कोशिश से बेहतर है कम resolution या FPS चुनकर स्थिर stream बनाना।

ये YouTube के H.264 ingest मार्गदर्शन के मान हैं, हर broadband plan के लिए अनिवार्य लक्ष्य नहीं। Codec के अनुसार मान बदलते हैं; ऊपर की संख्याएँ H.264 के लिए हैं, AV1 या H.265 के लिए नहीं। YouTube की encoder settings तालिका में codec और अन्य ingest निर्देश देखें।
720p30 या 1080p30 कैसे चुनें?
अगर upload सीमित है, तो पहले 720p30 आजमाएँ; यह 1080p30 से कम recommended ingest bitrate माँगता है। स्थिर upload और ऐसे वीडियो जिनमें तेज गति साफ दिखनी चाहिए, वहाँ 60 FPS उपयोगी हो सकता है—लेकिन 60 FPS को तभी चुनें जब आपका कनेक्शन उसका भार लगातार उठा सके। स्थिर चित्र, धीमी गति वाले वृत्तचित्र या बातचीत में कम FPS पर्याप्त हो सकता है। अपने वीडियो की वास्तविक गति और YouTube preview में दिखने वाली गुणवत्ता पर निर्णय करें।

OBS में YouTube 24/7 स्ट्रीम सेट करें
- कनेक्शन जाँचें: जहाँ संभव हो, Ethernet से जुड़ें। दूसरे uploads और downloads रोककर upload speed अलग-अलग समय पर जाँचें। एक speed test पूरे दिन या रात की स्थिरता साबित नहीं करता। YouTube के अनुसार upload, download से धीमा हो सकता है और साझा नेटवर्क की क्षमता बँटती है।
- YouTube encoder stream बनाएँ: YouTube Studio के Live Control Room में encoder के साथ stream सेट करें। वहाँ से stream URL और stream key लें। YouTube का encoder setup मार्गदर्शन इस प्रक्रिया के चरण बताता है।
- OBS को YouTube से जोड़ें: OBS में Settings → Stream खोलकर YouTube service चुनें और stream key दर्ज करें; वैकल्पिक manual configuration में YouTube का stream URL और key लगाएँ। YouTube ingest के लिए RTMP/RTMPS का उपयोग करता है और RTMPS की अनुशंसा करता है। OBS की UI के labels संस्करण के अनुसार बदल सकते हैं।
- Video का आकार और FPS तय करें: OBS में Settings → Video खोलें और Output (Scaled) Resolution तथा Common FPS Values सेट करें। चुना हुआ output YouTube पर भेजे जाने वाले resolution और frame rate से मेल खाना चाहिए। सीमित upload पर पहले कम resolution या FPS चुनें, न कि upload क्षमता से अधिक bitrate।
- Output bitrate और encoder सेट करें: Settings → Output में output mode और streaming encoder के विकल्प देखें। Video bitrate को अपनी स्थिर upload सीमा के भीतर रखें और audio तथा अन्य traffic के लिए भी गुंजाइश छोड़ें। YouTube के H.264 मार्गदर्शन के अनुरूप rate control CBR रखें। यदि keyframe interval का विकल्प है, तो 2 seconds रखें; YouTube अधिकतम 4 seconds से अधिक नहीं बताता। OBS के setting areas का परिचय OBS Studio Overview Guide में है; interface बदल सकता है।
- वास्तविक test चलाएँ: ऐसे दृश्य के साथ test करें जिसमें आपके सामान्य वीडियो जैसी movement और audio हो। YouTube preview और stream health देखें, साथ में OBS का dropped-frame संकेतक भी। लंबा stream शुरू करने से पहले छोटे परीक्षण से पता चल सकता है कि bitrate टिकती है या नहीं। YouTube की streaming tips परीक्षण और monitoring की सलाह देती हैं।
- समस्या पर bitrate घटाएँ: dropped frames या अस्थिर connection दिखे तो bitrate कम करें, जरूरत पड़ने पर resolution या FPS भी घटाएँ, फिर test दोहराएँ। OBS troubleshooting guide कुल upload speed के 75% को एक अच्छा शुरुआती bitrate बताती है; YouTube की 20% headroom सलाह भी लगभग इसी तरह का मार्जिन देती है। ये दिशानिर्देश हैं, प्रदर्शन की गारंटी नहीं।
Stream key सुरक्षित रखें
YouTube stream key को stream का password/address मानता है। इसे सार्वजनिक screenshot, साझा दस्तावेज़ या चैट में न दिखाएँ। अगर key उजागर हो जाए, तो YouTube Studio में उसे reset करें और OBS में नई key दर्ज करें। YouTube का live stream settings मार्गदर्शन stream key और उसके प्रबंधन के बारे में बताता है।
24/7 stream का data खर्च कैसे आँकें?
लगातार भेजी जा रही bitrate से उपयोग का मोटा अनुमान निकाला जा सकता है: decimal units में 1 Mbps × 86,400 seconds ÷ 8 bits per byte = लगभग 10.8 GB प्रतिदिन, यानी 30 दिन में लगभग 324 GB। यह इकाई-आधारित गणना है, किसी ISP का प्रकाशित benchmark नहीं। हिसाब में कुल stream bitrate—video और audio—मानें।

भारत में upload speed, fair-use limit और लगातार उपयोग की शर्तें ISP, plan और स्थान के अनुसार अलग हो सकती हैं। अपने broadband plan की FUP/data policy और sustained upload क्षमता जाँचें; किसी एक शहर या provider का आँकड़ा सभी भारतीय कनेक्शनों पर लागू नहीं होता।
Dropped frames या stream टूटने पर क्या करें?
- OBS में dropped frames: bitrate घटाएँ और फिर test करें। resolution या FPS भी कम करना पड़ सकता है। OBS के Stream Connection Troubleshooting के अनुसार dropped frames network connection की समस्या का संकेत हो सकते हैं।
- Wi-Fi पर उतार-चढ़ाव: router के पास Ethernet से जुड़कर जाँचें। Wired connection Wi-Fi की अस्थिरता घटाने में मदद कर सकता है, लेकिन ISP की upload क्षमता या provider congestion को नहीं बदलता।
- दूसरे लोग नेटवर्क इस्तेमाल कर रहे हैं: बड़े uploads, downloads और अन्य stream रोककर पुनः परीक्षण करें। साझा नेटवर्क उपलब्ध upload को बाँटता है।
- YouTube पर stream रुक जाए: इंटरनेट interruption, PC या बिजली की समस्या, और reconnect व्यवहार अलग operational मुद्दे हैं। YouTube और OBS के मार्गदर्शन से bitrate तथा encoder setup तय किया जा सकता है, लेकिन भारतीय broadband पर uninterrupted 24/7 uptime की गारंटी स्थापित नहीं होती।
