Can you get a refund for a Super Chat sent to a 24/7 livestream?
Usually, no—not for a change of mind. YouTube Help describes Super Chats as voluntary, non-refundable payments. Its published guidance does not list a separate refund exception for messages sent to a continuous or 24/7 stream. A Super Chat is a paid message in live chat. YouTube notes that a creator may end a stream or live chat before a message’s ticker time is over, and Super Chats do not transfer between videos. The payment therefore should not be treated as transferable to another stream or as a purchase of guaranteed interaction.
First, distinguish regret from an unauthorized charge

How to report an unauthorized Super Chat charge
- Confirm you did not authorize it. Check the transaction and the account or payment method involved. If you sent it intentionally and only regret the purchase, the non-refundable policy applies instead.
- Open YouTube’s official charge-reporting instructions. Use the reporting route linked from YouTube’s unauthorized-charge help page, and follow its current prompts for the transaction.
- Report promptly. YouTube Help states that unauthorized digital purchases should be reported within 120 days of the transaction. The page does not state a publication year for this deadline.
- Use the website refund route if the charge was accidental but unauthorized rather than fraud. YouTube’s instructions distinguish this case and direct users to the website refund-request route. This is a way to submit a request, not a guarantee of reimbursement.
- Check the billing provider. Some newer purchases made in the Android app may be billed through Google Play. For Apple-billed purchases, follow YouTube’s direction to Apple Support and Apple’s refund process; see YouTube’s iPhone and iPad purchase guidance.
What will not reverse the payment
- Deleting the message: YouTube Help says deleting a Super Chat after the livestream does not result in a refund. See YouTube’s live-chat moderation guidance.
- Waiting for the 24/7 stream to restart: The reviewed refund guidance does not make stream duration or a restart a refund condition.
- Ending the stream or contacting the creator: Neither is described in the official guidance as reversing the charge. A creator’s response is not the same as a refund decision by the billing provider.
What the 24/7 format changes—and what it does not
The relevant distinction is whether you authorized the purchase, not whether the channel’s livestream is continuous. YouTube’s published policy covers Super Chats generally; it does not state a special 24/7 refund rule. Because the paid message is attached to live chat for a particular video, do not assume its ticker time or payment can be moved to a different stream.
