Quick wins for a faster PC:
Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problemsFix Now →Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minuteDriver Scan →To start a prerecorded gaming replay automatically after Ubuntu boots, configure an encoder to send the replay to a YouTube Live event, run that encoder as a systemd service, and enable the service for boot. These are separate jobs: Ubuntu can start the encoder, but YouTube event settings determine whether the incoming feed goes live automatically, and looping or reconnecting depends on the encoder configuration. Test all of them before relying on an unattended stream.
Before you set up automatic streaming
Check YouTube Live eligibility and content rights
YouTube’s getting-started guidance, accessed in 2026, says a streamer must be at least 16 and the channel must be verified with no live-streaming restrictions in the preceding 90 days. Confirm the channel can stream before configuring a boot service.
Use gameplay footage, music, overlays, and other material you are authorized to stream. YouTube requires live streams to comply with its Community Guidelines and Terms; the rights status of a particular game, soundtrack, or replay depends on the material and permissions involved.
Decide how the YouTube event should go live
In YouTube Studio’s Live Control Room, create an encoder stream or schedule an event. Copy the stream URL and stream key into the encoder. Treat the key like a password: anyone who has it may be able to send a feed to your channel. If it is exposed, reset it in YouTube and update the encoder configuration.

- 【AMD Ryzen 7330U】 – The Efficiency-Tuned Powerhouse,AMD Ryzen 7330U (Zen 3, SMT, 4C/8T) in KAMRUI P2 mini PC crushes rivals: Intel i3-10110U (2C/4T, 2019) and N95 (4 efficiency cores, no HT, single-channel memory). Vs predecessor Ryzen 3 4300U (4C/4T): ~50% faster single-core, ~46% multi-core, 8MB L3 cache (vs 4MB). Beats both Intel chips hugely in multi-core, making heavy multitasking, coding, data work smooth at just 15W TDP. High-end power in a cool, efficient box.
- 【AMD Radeon Graphics】– Triple 4K Vision & Fluidity,The integrated Radeon Graphics (based on the modern Vega architecture with 6 CUs) is a visual beast, outclassing the iGPU offerings from both AMD's prior generation and Intel. The Intel UHD Graphics (i3-10110U/N95) struggles with single-channel memory and low execution units, crippling its gaming performance and barely handling basic 4K video without stuttering. While the older Radeon Vega 5 (4300U) was decent, our 7330U's Radeon Graphics (6 CUs) pushes the boundaries, delivering higher graphics clock speeds (up to 1.8GHz) and significantly better rendering capabilities. It can drive triple 4K@60Hz displays with zero lag, edit photos/videos.

- 【USB 3.2 Gen2 Type‑C: 10Gbps & Versatile Connectivity】The USB 3.2 Gen2 Type‑C port on the KAMRUI P2 small pc supports 10Gbps data transfer speeds and can also output DisplayPort 1.4 video. Together with Gigabit LAN, Wi‑Fi, and Bluetooth, you get a fast, flexible, and productive connected environment – wired or wireless.
For a scheduled event, check its auto-start and auto-stop settings in the Live Control Room. Starting an Ubuntu service only starts the encoder; it does not guarantee that YouTube will perform the event’s go-live action. YouTube’s scheduled encoder workflow may require you to wait for the preview and click Go live.
Configure the encoder for YouTube
Choose an encoder available for your Ubuntu setup that can read the replay file, send an RTMP or RTMPS feed to YouTube, and support the looping and recovery behavior you need. YouTube recommends RTMPS for standard encoder ingest. The exact menus or command syntax depend on the encoder and its installed version, so verify those in that encoder’s documentation and test the feed locally before putting it under systemd.
Use YouTube’s recommended ingest settings
- Video codec: H.264 for RTMP/RTMPS.
- Rate control: constant bitrate (CBR).
- Keyframe interval: 2 seconds; do not exceed 4 seconds.
- Audio: AAC or MP3.
- Ingest bitrate: YouTube’s H.264 recommendations, accessed in 2026, include 17 Mbps for 1080p at 60 fps, 14 Mbps for 1080p at 30 fps, 8 Mbps for 720p at 60 fps, and 6 Mbps for 720p at 30 fps.
Those are YouTube’s recommended ingest bitrates, not a guarantee that your encoder or connection can sustain them. YouTube recommends keeping upload headroom: its streaming tips say to leave room equal to 20% of available upload bandwidth. Choose a bitrate your connection can sustain with that margin rather than setting the encoder at the connection’s measured maximum. YouTube transcodes incoming streams for different playback formats.

Keep the stream key out of public files
Enter the stream URL and key in the encoder’s private configuration or service environment, with access limited to the account running the service. Avoid putting the key in a public script, a shared configuration file, or a command pasted into a support forum. If the key appears in logs or is otherwise exposed, reset it and replace the saved value.

Run the encoder as a systemd service
A system service is suitable when the stream should start at boot without depending on a desktop login. Use the encoder’s own documented invocation in the unit; systemd does not supply replay looping, YouTube scheduling, or network-reconnection behavior by itself. The examples below show the unit structure, not an encoder command: use your installed encoder’s verified command and options for ExecStart=.
Create the service unit

Choose the Linux account that should run the stream. Ensure it can read the replay and encoder configuration, and write any logs or local archive files you intend to keep.

Create a system service file such as
/etc/systemd/system/youtube-replay.servicewith a text editor opened as an administrator. Use absolute paths for the executable, media file, and configuration; set the working directory deliberately. -

Do not copy the sample
ExecStart=as a working encoder command: it is deliberately a structural illustration, not valid syntax for a particular encoder. The After=network-online.target ordering requests that the service start after the network-online target. It does not prove that the internet route is usable or that YouTube is reachable. A service restart policy can restart a process that exits; it cannot guarantee that an encoder which remains running will detect and recover from a broken stream.
Enable the service and start a test run

Reload systemd after creating or changing the unit:
sudo systemctl daemon-reload. -

sudo systemctl enable youtube-replay.service. Enabling arranges for a boot target to pull in the service; it does not launch it immediately.Recommended Free Tools

Start it now for a test:
sudo systemctl start youtube-replay.service. Starting launches the service now; it is distinct from enabling it for future boots. -
Check its state:
systemctl status youtube-replay.service. For recent service output, inspect the journal withjournalctl -u youtube-replay.service. -
When the test is complete, stop it with
sudo systemctl stop youtube-replay.service. To prevent it starting at the next boot, disable it withsudo systemctl disable youtube-replay.service.
Verify boot, looping, and YouTube behavior separately
- Boot activation: confirm the service is enabled and starts after a deliberate reboot.
- Replay behavior: confirm playback reaches the end and loops if that is intended. Check that audio and video remain synchronized across the transition.
- YouTube ingest: confirm the Live Control Room receives the preview and reports healthy audio and video before treating the stream as ready.
- Go-live behavior: verify whether this event requires a manual Go live action or is configured for auto-start. Do not infer the event behavior from a successful service start.
- Network failure: test a deliberate connection interruption and observe whether the encoder exits, reconnects, or remains running without a feed. Confirm the recovery behavior rather than assuming it.
- Archive: if keeping a local copy, check that its file is growing as expected. Separately plan YouTube stream boundaries: YouTube’s encoder setup guidance says an encoder stream under 12 hours is automatically archived after it ends. An indefinitely running Ubuntu service does not guarantee one continuous archive or avoid YouTube’s stream-duration behavior.
- Viewer access: check the stream from a viewer’s perspective and monitor YouTube’s stream health, not only the Ubuntu service status.
Troubleshoot common startup and stream failures
| Symptom | Likely area to inspect | What to do |
|---|---|---|
| Service does not start after reboot | Boot enablement, unit syntax, executable or file paths | Check systemctl is-enabled youtube-replay.service, then inspect systemctl status youtube-replay.service and journalctl -u youtube-replay.service. After editing the unit, run sudo systemctl daemon-reload. |
| Service starts but YouTube shows no preview | Encoder destination, stream URL/key, or network access | Verify the URL and current key in the encoder, confirm the key has not been reset, and check the encoder output and YouTube preview. Do not assume the service being active means YouTube is receiving video. |
| Feed arrives but the scheduled event is not live | YouTube event settings | Review the event’s auto-start setting and the Live Control Room workflow. If the event calls for it, wait for preview and click Go live. |
| Stream stutters or loses health | Bitrate, upload capacity, or network stability | Compare the configured bitrate with YouTube’s recommendation for the chosen resolution and frame rate. Measure available upload capacity and preserve YouTube’s recommended 20% headroom; reduce the bitrate or output settings if the connection cannot sustain them. |
| Replay ends instead of repeating | Encoder-specific input or loop configuration | Check the installed encoder’s documentation for its replay-loop option and test it outside the boot service. systemd does not loop media. |
| Feed does not recover after a network interruption | Encoder reconnect behavior versus process restart behavior | Observe whether the encoder exits or stays alive without sending a feed. Configure and test encoder-level reconnect behavior; a systemd restart policy only addresses process exits or failures as configured. |
| Permission denied or media file not found | Service account, working directory, or paths | Use absolute paths and grant the service account access to the replay and configuration. Review the journal for the specific file or permission error. |
Or let it run in the cloud
If your goal is an always-on YouTube replay rather than learning to maintain a Linux service, StreamNeo runs uploaded videos from the cloud, so your computer and home connection do not have to stay on. Upload a recording or build a playlist, add your YouTube stream key once, and go live. It loops the upload, supports playlists, and automatically recovers if YouTube drops the stream.
