There is no single monthly price for running a 24/7 YouTube gaming highlights stream on a PC in India. If you already own the computer, estimate its electricity separately from internet costs and any streaming service. At a steady 120–200 W, the PC alone uses 86.4–144 kWh in a 30-day month; multiply that by the marginal electricity rate on your bill to estimate the added power cost.
Estimate the PC’s monthly electricity use
Use the computer’s average power draw at the wall, not just the wattage printed on its power supply. Then apply the electricity rate relevant to the next units your household consumes:

These are arithmetic estimates for continuous draw over 30 days, not a prediction of what a particular PC will consume. Your actual use depends on the system and workload. For the applicable rate, check your latest electricity bill or your utility’s current tariff: rates and bill components can vary by utility, state, consumption slab and other charges.

Separate the PC purchase from running costs
The electricity calculation assumes you already have a suitable PC. Buying a computer is a separate upfront expense, potentially much larger than one month’s power bill. There is no verified current India-wide price here for a complete gaming PC, so get current local retailer quotes for the specification you actually need rather than relying on a generic build total.

The workload also matters. A stream of pre-rendered highlights may require playing or encoding prepared files; broadcasting gameplay means the computer must run the game as well. Those uses can place different demands on a machine, but there is no source-backed numerical comparison for a particular setup. Don’t assume the 120–200 W illustration applies to every gaming PC or workload.
Include internet and streaming method in the budget
Electricity is only one recurring cost. Check whether your broadband plan can sustain the required upload rate and whether it has a data limit or extra charges. For a home-PC setup, the computer, connection and responsibility for keeping the stream running stay with you. A hosted service instead introduces a service fee while avoiding the need to leave a computer running at home; compare those costs against your own power use and needs.

For YouTube streaming, the recommended ingest bitrate depends on output resolution, frame rate and codec. YouTube’s H.264 recommendations include 17 Mbps for 1080p60, 14 Mbps for 1080p30, 8 Mbps for 720p60 or 720p30, and 4 Mbps for 480p30. For AV1 or H.265, some recommended rates are lower, including 12 Mbps at 1080p60 and 6 Mbps at 720p60. These are encoder recommendations, not broadband-plan requirements or guarantees of a stable stream. Allow upload headroom and test your actual connection. Configure and test a PC-based stream
If the highlights are prepared video files, set up a continuous playback or playlist workflow in your chosen streaming software. If you are streaming live gameplay, configure the game and encoder together; the stream’s recommended upload bitrate does not establish what PC performance tier you need.

- Use a YouTube-supported video codec: H.264, H.265 (HEVC) or AV1 over RTMP/RTMPS.
- Choose resolution and frame rate to suit both your source and a reliably tested upload connection. YouTube’s guidance supports up to 60 fps.
- Set a two-second keyframe interval; YouTube advises not exceeding four seconds.
- Run a speed test to check upload bitrate, then test the stream before relying on it and monitor stream health while it is live.
- Use your YouTube stream key in the encoder or service that sends the stream. Keep the key private; anyone with access may be able to broadcast to your channel.
Technical delivery is not the only concern for a highlights channel. Make sure you have the rights needed for the game footage, music and other material in the videos, and review YouTube’s current copyright and monetization policies before streaming.
