To set up Streamlabs Cloudbot, enable it in the Streamlabs dashboard, give it moderator permission in the channel where it will work, then configure the commands, moderation tools, timers, or rewards you want to use. The setup differs slightly by platform: Twitch and Kick use a chat command, while YouTube permissions are granted in YouTube Studio.
Before you start
Sign in to Streamlabs.com and connect the platform account for the channel where you want Cloudbot to work. If you use more than one platform, Streamlabs’ quick guide recommends linking them to a Streamlabs ID. From the Streamlabs account menu, open Account Settings → Platforms and select Merge beside the platform you want to connect. Enable Cloudbot and grant it permission
- On Streamlabs.com, open Cloudbot from the left-hand menu and select Enable Cloudbot.
- Give Streamlabs moderator permission on the channel where the bot should operate. This permission lets the bot speak in chat and remove messages, as Streamlabs explains.
Twitch
Open chat on your Twitch channel, type /mod Streamlabs, and submit the message.
Kick
Open chat on your Kick channel, type /mod Streamlabs, and submit the message.

YouTube
In YouTube Studio, go to Settings → Community and add Streamlabs as a moderator. For Cloudbot commands to work on YouTube, Streamlabs says the live stream must be public; a private or unlisted stream will not meet that requirement. Streamlabs Cloudbot troubleshooting
Configure commands and moderation
Turn on or edit commands
In the Streamlabs dashboard, open Commands → Default to switch built-in commands on or off and change their permissions or responses. To make a new one, open Commands → Custom, add a command, and enter the response. You can use templates or variables when composing a response. Set moderation controls
Open Mod Tools and choose a Protection Level preset, or enable controls individually. Options include Caps and Link Protection; adjust each control’s strictness to suit the chat. Streamlabs documents these settings in its Cloudbot moderation guide.
Add timers for recurring chat messages
After Cloudbot is enabled, open Timers and create a timer with a name, response, interval, and line minimum. A timer triggers only when both its interval and line minimum have been met. Timers with the same interval run in parallel, so they may post at the same time. Streamlabs’ timer guide

Optionally add loyalty, rewards, and modules
Loyalty points and store rewards
Open Loyalty and enable the Loyalty System. Set the points currency and payout settings. Streamlabs says points are awarded while you are live. To offer redemptions, open Store, add an item, and choose an item type: Access Code, Sound Effect, or Stream Perk. See Streamlabs’ loyalty setup guide and store guide.
Modules and Media Share
Open Modules and enable only the features you plan to use. Streamlabs’ quick guide highlights Chat Alerts, Shoutouts, Gamble Minigame, and Media Share. Troubleshoot common Cloudbot problems
- Cloudbot does not appear in chat: Confirm Cloudbot is enabled and Streamlabs has moderator permission on the specific channel. On YouTube, check that the stream is public.
- A command does not respond: Check that the command is enabled, that you typed it correctly, and that it is not blocked by a cooldown or a required loyalty-points balance.
- A timer does not post: Confirm both its interval and line minimum have been reached. If multiple timers share an interval, their messages can arrive together.
- Viewers are not earning loyalty points: Make sure the Loyalty System is enabled, the payout interval is appropriate, and the payout amount is nonzero. Points are awarded while the streamer is live.
- Media Share requests do not work: Check that the relevant default commands are enabled and that viewers submit a video link with
!request.
