Is Larix Broadcaster free?
Yes. Larix Broadcaster is available as a free app, and its free tier supports live streaming. The Google Play listing says streams without Premium have a 30-minute limit and a watermark. That makes the free option suitable for trying the app or for a short stream when the watermark is acceptable, but it is not an unrestricted, watermark-free tier.
Softvelum’s 2023 announcement described a further 30 minutes with a mandatory overlay after the initial free 30 minutes. Treat that as the publisher’s historical policy announcement, not as a guarantee of the current allowance: the current Google Play listing is the more relevant source for the present 30-minute limit and watermark.
What does Larix Premium include?
Premium removes the free-tier time limit and watermark and adds tools for more involved streaming setups. The exact features emphasized vary between the Google Play and Apple App Store descriptions.

The Apple listing’s general feature description also identifies ABR and advanced overlays as Premium features. Store descriptions can change, so confirm that a feature is included on your platform before buying.
How much does Larix Premium cost?
These are US storefront examples, not universal prices. Google Play advertises Premium at $9.99 per month. The US Apple App Store currently displays Larix Premium at $9.99 and a one-year option at $119.00. Apple separately lists an NDI Streaming in-app purchase at $19.99; it is not the same purchase as Larix Premium.

The storefront examples above therefore should not be assumed to apply in other regions. Monthly and annual options also have different billing periods, so compare the term as well as the amount.
Should you stay on free or pay for Premium?
- Use free for a short stream if the 30-minute limit and watermark shown on Google Play fit your needs.
- Consider Premium if you need longer sessions without the watermark, simultaneous outputs, Talkback, HEVC, ABR, advanced overlays or auto-start where listed for your platform.
- Check your platform’s listing before purchase if a particular feature matters, especially external-camera support, because the store descriptions differ in emphasis and device requirements.
