YouTube’s playlist Loop setting repeats videos for a viewer; it does not create a looping live broadcast. StreamShark’s separate Live Scheduler can play a lineup of StreamShark Video on Demand (VoD) content as a live schedule and loop it continuously. However, StreamShark’s documented HLS and DASH feed links are not confirmed as directly compatible with YouTube Live, so confirm the supported connection method with StreamShark before planning a YouTube broadcast.
What “loop a playlist on YouTube Live” can mean

These are separate workflows. If you want viewers to replay a YouTube playlist, use the player’s Loop control. If you want pre-recorded StreamShark VoD content to run as a live schedule, configure Live Scheduler. Do not treat a StreamShark Channel playlist as a live schedule: the Channel playlist guide describes content organization and playback order, not a YouTube Live broadcast.
Set up a looping StreamShark Live Schedule
StreamShark’s support guide says Live Scheduler is available on subscription plans with a Dedicated Server attached. It directs customers to their sales representative or account manager for access and trial questions.
- Confirm access. Ask your StreamShark sales representative or account manager whether your subscription has Live Scheduler access and whether the required Dedicated Server is attached.
- Prepare eligible VoD. For newly uploaded material, select the Live Scheduler HD encoding profile. For existing assets, change the profile in the asset settings. The guide says VoD items must be active to use in a Live Schedule.
- Create the schedule. Choose a one-off schedule, recurring schedule, or manual start, depending on how you want playout to begin.
- Enable looping and arrange content. Turn on “Loop Content,” add the eligible videos, and order them as desired. With looping enabled, the lineup continues until the broadcast is manually stopped.
- Start playout. Select “Go Live Now” when you are ready, or let the schedule begin at its scheduled start time.
- Retrieve the schedule feeds. Open the schedule’s Links tab and copy its HLS and DASH feed URLs. These are the feed links documented by StreamShark; do not assume that either is a YouTube ingest URL.
Connecting the schedule to YouTube Live
The StreamShark guide documents HLS and DASH outputs. YouTube’s encoder instructions require the YouTube Live server URL and stream key to be entered into an encoder. The guides reviewed do not specify whether StreamShark’s feeds can be ingested directly by YouTube Live, or which intermediary encoder or relay would be supported.

Before scheduling a public broadcast, ask StreamShark to confirm a supported YouTube delivery workflow for your account. In particular, verify whether direct feed ingestion is supported or whether a specific encoder or relay is required, and obtain configuration instructions for that method. Until that compatibility is confirmed, the feed handoff is where the documented setup ends; do not substitute StreamShark’s HLS or DASH URL for YouTube’s server URL and stream key without explicit guidance.
Use YouTube’s playlist Loop for viewer playback
If your goal is simply to repeat an existing YouTube playlist for someone watching it, use YouTube’s playlist Loop control in the player. This repeats the playlist during playback; it does not turn those videos into a live stream or automate a broadcast.
