An appearance together is not, by itself, a new confirmation that they are dating.
That distinction matters because the strongest evidence is dated: Shallow’s own relationship description comes from January 2025, while the later item reports a shared public appearance and does not resolve their status. There is no basis in these updates to state definitively that the pair are still together or definitively broken up.
When did Shallow confirm she was dating Martin?
Shallow announced she was dating Martin on December 30, 2023, according to Out’s February 2024 interview. In that interview, she also spoke about how she identifies: “I think the one that works for me is queer. I think I’m queer.” That is Shallow’s own wording; she did not need a more specific label to describe the relationship.

Speaking about being in love, Shallow said, “I’m so happy that I’m in love with this person and [the label] doesn’t really matter that much to me.” Her comments reflected her feelings at the time of the interview, not a guarantee of the relationship’s later status.

On January 22, 2025, Shallow described the relationship as “an in flux situation” in an interview reported by TV Insider/Swooon. The phrase is her status description at that point; it does not specify whether the couple had ended their relationship or what might happen next.
May 2026: They attended the Survivor 50 finale together
A May 21, 2026 TV Insider/Swooon report said Shallow posted photos of the two at the finale with the caption, “Just a couple Survivor fans attending the live finale for Season 50.” The outlet described their exact relationship status as unclear. The caption identifies them as fans attending an event, not as partners, so it should not be read as a relationship announcement.
