The six-episode continuation releases one episode each Wednesday, with the final episode scheduled for October 21 based on Apple’s announced weekly cadence.
What Apple actually unveiled
Apple published first-look images and season-six details for its Emmy- and BAFTA-winning British espionage drama, rather than announcing a separately identified season-six trailer. Apple’s official series page currently highlights the season-five official trailer while confirming the season-six date.
The show follows damaged MI5 officers assigned to Slough House, the service’s dumping ground for agents whose careers have been derailed by mistakes. Gary Oldman leads the series as Jackson Lamb, the department’s brilliant, abrasive chief. Apple categorizes it as a thriller and drama and lists it as TV-MA in the United States.

Apple’s announcement confirms the date, six-episode count and weekly pattern, but it does not establish a universal release hour or a single time zone. Viewers should check the Apple TV app in their region.

What the new season is about
Apple’s official setup places the Slough House agents “on the run” while MI5 official Diana Taverner draws them into a fatally high-stakes retaliation-and-revenge operation. That is the confirmed premise; Apple has not disclosed every major turn, so first-look images should not be treated as proof of specific deaths, missions or twists.
Returning cast and new addition
The principal ensemble named in Apple’s announcement includes:

Lenny Rush is the confirmed new addition to the season-six ensemble. The announcement does not state that every previously seen performer appears in every episode.
Which books does season six adapt?
The season draws on Mick Herron’s sixth and seventh Slough House novels, Joe Country and Slough House. That identifies the literary source, not a guarantee that the television adaptation reproduces every event or character arc exactly.

What to watch before season six
Seasons one through five are streaming on Apple TV. Because season six continues the Slough House storyline and brings back its established ensemble, newcomers should start with season one rather than treat the new run as a standalone thriller. Existing viewers can continue directly from season five, while book readers should expect adaptation changes.
How to watch
“Apple TV” here means Apple’s streaming service and Apple TV app, not a requirement to buy an Apple TV 4K box. Apple says the service can be watched through the app on iPhone, iPad, Mac, Apple TV 4K, supported smart TVs, Roku, Amazon Fire TV, Chromecast with Google TV, PlayStation, Xbox and the web. See Apple’s season-six announcement for the platform list.

U.S. subscription terms
Apple’s U.S. listing advertises Apple TV at $12.99 per month with a seven-day trial for eligible new subscribers. Pricing, taxes, promotions and trial eligibility vary by country and account history; the figure should not be read as a worldwide rate. The official signup page is tv.apple.com/us.
Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone. Is there a season-six trailer?
Apple has confirmed first-look material, images and release information. Its dedicated press page prominently lists the season-five trailer, so reports should not describe that video as a season-six trailer unless Apple publishes a separate, verifiable season-six trailer.
