Voyo is not one pan-European streaming service. It is a group of country-specific, broadcaster-led platforms serving markets such as Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia and Croatia. Each version has its own catalogue, price, rights and eligibility rules. Czech Voyo was replaced by Oneplay on March 10, 2025.
What is Voyo?
Voyo is a subscription streaming brand built around national television ecosystems. Depending on the market, a subscription can combine on-demand programmes, local and international films, Voyo-branded originals, early access to television episodes, live channels, catch-up viewing and sports.

Its main advantage over Netflix-style global services is local relevance: national-language shows, broadcaster exclusives and regional sports rights. Its main limitation is fragmentation. A Voyo account, catalogue or price in one country should not be assumed to work on another country’s service.

What can you watch?
Local television and early releases
Voyo services commonly carry popular broadcaster programmes, reality and talent shows, daily dramas, soaps and, where rights permit, news or archive programming. Selected episodes may appear before their linear-TV broadcast.
Voyo Originals
“Voyo Original” is a local label rather than one pan-European production slate. Slovakia, for example, promotes locally made crime, comedy and special programming at Voyo Original. Availability and subtitles depend on the market.
Films and international series
Licensed films and series supplement local programming, but rights are negotiated country by country. A title available in Slovakia may be absent in Romania or Slovenia, and dubbing, subtitles and age ratings can differ.

Live channels
Voyo is not purely video on demand in every territory. Slovak and Slovenian services advertise live broadcaster channels alongside their on-demand libraries.

Sports are market- and plan-specific. The Slovak service lists football, Formula 1, hockey, basketball, UFC and other events, while Slovenian and other offerings differ. Rights can change quickly, so check the current plan page before subscribing for a particular competition.

Can you use Voyo abroad?
Romanian Voyo
The Romanian portability FAQ says a Romanian citizen who bought the subscription with a Romanian-issued card can access the full catalogue within the European Union. Outside the EU, or without portability activation, access may be limited to selected PRO TV-produced or PRO TV-licensed content. Device-region settings can also affect whether the app is available. The Slovak service says most content requires Slovak residence verification. A Slovak-issued card may verify residence automatically; otherwise proof can be requested. Temporary travel in Europe is supported when Slovak payment or residence has been verified. The stated travel policy excludes Moldova, Ukraine and Russia. See the Slovak foreign-use FAQ.
Slovenian Voyo
The Slovenian page advertises access in all EU countries, but that statement should not be read as a guarantee that every title, account type or registration scenario works identically abroad.
Outside the European Union
EU portability is not worldwide access. A US-based or other non-EU viewer may face a foreign-card refusal, residence verification, an unavailable app, a reduced catalogue or geo-blocking. A VPN does not solve payment, residence, app-store or contractual restrictions and is not an officially supported workaround.

Compatibility is country-specific. Romanian Voyo directs prospective subscribers to check its compatible-device page and supports web and mobile applications. Slovak Voyo lists smart TVs, computers, phones and tablets, with two-device viewing depending on plan. Slovenian Voyo advertises two simultaneous devices, five profiles and offline downloads. Do not assume support for Roku, Fire TV, Apple TV, Chromecast, consoles or a particular television brand without checking the local list.

Romanian signup checklist
- Check compatibility and regional eligibility.
- Confirm an accepted payment method.
- Create or sign in to a Voyo account.
- Choose the local subscription.
- Install the mobile app if required and sign in.
The Romanian FAQ says physical or virtual Visa, Maestro or Mastercard cards are accepted, excluding prepaid and one-time-use cards. Because payment-country verification can affect the catalogue, a successful charge does not necessarily mean full access.
What happened to Czech Voyo?
TV Nova and O2 combined Czech Voyo and O2 TV into Oneplay on March 10, 2025. TV Nova described the migration as retaining Voyo content while adding television channels, replay functions, sports and broader television functionality. No comparison produces a universal winner. Voyo’s value is local relevance rather than the size of a borderless catalogue.
Who should subscribe?
- Local-TV fans: Strong fit if you follow a particular national broadcaster.
- Sports viewers: Check the exact country, tier and current rights before paying.
- Expatriates: Viable when residence, payment and EU-portability requirements are met.
- Families: Slovenian and some other plans offer profiles and simultaneous viewing, but limits vary.
- International-content viewers: Netflix, Max or SkyShowtime may better match an English-language, multinational catalogue.
- Frequent travellers: Verify EU portability and download the app before leaving the home region.
Bottom line
Voyo is best understood as a set of localized Central and Southeast European streaming services. It can unlock national television, originals, live channels and regional sports at competitive local prices, but catalogues, devices, payment rules and travel rights differ by country. Choose the specific national service first, verify eligibility and current rights, and remember that Czech Voyo has become Oneplay.
