Where to watch the full 2025 VMAs
For the complete awards ceremony, start with one of the official episode pages. CBS labels its full-episode page “NOW STREAMING” and gives the program an air date of September 7, 2025. Paramount+ lists the ceremony as Season 2025, Episode 1 (S2025 E1).

- CBS: Open the 2025 MTV Video Music Awards full episode. Choose the full episode, not a separately listed clip. If playback is blocked, check for a sign-in prompt or a territory restriction.
- Paramount+: Open the Season 2025 episode guide, select “2025 MTV Video Music Awards” (S2025 E1), then sign in or subscribe if prompted. If you cannot find it through search, use the direct season page.
A short performance video, opening segment, interview, or social clip is not the full broadcast. The full-episode pages above are the clearest places to check for the complete ceremony.

What if the replay will not play?
- Confirm you opened the full episode. CBS lists clips separately from the full Season 2025 program; Paramount+ identifies the ceremony as S2025 E1.
- Check whether the service asks you to sign in. Availability can depend on account status and the current access terms for the program.
- Check your location. Streaming rights vary by territory, and a page that lists the episode does not guarantee playback in every country.
- Try the other official listing. If one service redirects you or will not play the episode, check the CBS page and Paramount+ guide in turn.
MTV’s How to Watch page points viewers toward Paramount+ and Pluto TV for selected programming. It does not establish that MTV.com or Pluto TV currently carries the complete 2025 ceremony. Likewise, the full-episode listings do not confirm that every red-carpet segment is included.

Does Paramount+ require a subscription?
Paramount+’s 2025 viewing guide said that its live stream of the VMAs required the Premium plan, while the next-day on-demand replay would be available with any Paramount+ plan, including Essential. That was the arrangement announced for the 2025 event; it should not be treated as a guarantee of the episode’s plan entitlement in 2026.
The MTV viewing page displayed Paramount+ plans starting at $8.99 per month when checked on August 18, 2026. That is a starting-price indication, not confirmation of the plan needed for this episode or of pricing and terms at the time you subscribe. Check the current signup page before paying. No free trial is confirmed here.
If you only want to watch this one archived show, first see whether the CBS episode page works for you before starting a recurring subscription. CBS’s online access may still depend on authentication, territory, or the rights configuration at the time you visit.

How the event originally aired live
The ceremony took place at UBS Arena in Elmont, New York, on Sunday, September 7, 2025. The broadcast began at 8 p.m. Eastern / 5 p.m. Pacific on CBS, with a simultaneous MTV telecast in the United States. Paramount+’s 2025 guide specified Premium for the live stream; its next-day replay terms were different, as described above.
At the time, viewers could also watch CBS through a local station carried by cable or satellite, or with an antenna where the station’s over-the-air signal was available. MTV was available through participating pay-TV providers. A contemporaneous CBS News viewing guide also described MTV website or app access using a qualifying TV-provider login. A channel login for live viewing does not necessarily unlock the archived full ceremony.

The completed ceremony featured Sabrina Carpenter, Post Malone, Doja Cat, Lady Gaga, Alex Warren, Bailey Zimmerman, Conan Gray, DJ Snake, J Balvin, Jelly Roll, Joe Perry and Steven Tyler, KATSEYE, Lola Young, Megan Moroney, Nuno Bettencourt, sombr, Tate McRae, and The Kid LAROI. The final lineup is listed on MTV’s performers and honorees page.
Mariah Carey was the Video Vanguard Award honoree and performed; Busta Rhymes received the Rock the Bells Visionary Award and performed; and Ricky Martin received the Latin Icon Award and performed. LL COOL J hosted.

Red carpet, pre-show, and performance clips
The full awards episode and red-carpet coverage are separate viewing questions. The available official episode listings confirm the ceremony, but do not establish that the CBS or Paramount+ full episode includes every pre-show or red-carpet segment. Individual performances, interviews, and highlights may be published as separate clips; finding one does not mean the full broadcast is available on that page.
Watching outside the United States
Streaming rights are country-specific and may have changed since the event. A September 2025 Radio Times viewing guide listed MTV, Paramount+, or Pluto TV for viewers in the United Kingdom, and CBS, MTV, or Paramount+ in the United States. Those were contemporary viewing options, not a guarantee that the full replay remains in each service’s catalog in 2026. Check the local service catalog before subscribing or relying on a link.
