Spotify Wrapped 2025 launched on December 3, 2025. The annual recap was available to eligible Free and Premium users in nearly all Spotify markets through the Spotify app for iOS and Android. Because it is now 2026, the interactive story may no longer appear in the app; saved playlists or account data may still be available, depending on your account and Spotify’s current availability.
What was Spotify Wrapped 2025?
Wrapped is Spotify’s annual personalized look back at listening. The 2025 edition combined data stories about a listener’s year with playlists, rankings, and social features. Depending on eligibility and availability, it could cover music, podcasts, and audiobooks. Spotify also published global rankings and offered artist, podcaster, or author messages where available.

Spotify named Bad Bunny its global top artist for 2025. That is a worldwide ranking, not a claim that he was the top artist in every country or on every listener’s account. Spotify’s 2025 Wrapped hub has the global results and feature overview.
When did Spotify Wrapped 2025 come out?
Spotify announced and launched Wrapped 2025 on December 3, 2025. Spotify does not follow one guaranteed annual release date; past launch dates have varied. The 2025 recap is a past release, not an upcoming event.

How to find Spotify Wrapped 2025 now
At launch, Spotify directed listeners to the mobile app:
- Update Spotify to the latest version available for your device.
- Open the app on iOS or Android and look for the Wrapped feed at the top of Home.
- If it is not there, tap Search and enter 2025 Wrapped. You can also search for a feature such as Wrapped Party.
- To find a saved playlist, check Your Library and search for Your Top Songs 2025.
In 2026, these steps may not reopen the full interactive story. Spotify’s support information does not promise that every Wrapped story remains accessible indefinitely. A saved playlist may remain available even if the slideshow does not. Check Spotify’s Wrapped support page for current availability and feature guidance.
Who was eligible?
Spotify said listeners needed at least 30 songs played for more than 30 seconds each and at least five different artists to receive a personalized Wrapped experience. Both Free and Premium users could qualify; Premium was not required. Spotify said the experience was available in nearly all markets, while noting that some features might not be available to everyone.

Meeting the listening thresholds did not guarantee every card or feature. Eligibility could vary by feature and depend on factors such as market, account data, and whether the feature had the information it required.
What period did Wrapped 2025 cover?
The main 2025 recap used listening from January through approximately mid-November 2025. Spotify ended the data period before the December launch to process and quality-check the results. So Wrapped 2025 was not a complete January-to-December calendar-year tally: listening in the final weeks of the year generally would not have changed the main recap. Spotify describes the process in its account of how Wrapped is made.
What counted toward Wrapped?
Wrapped cards did not all measure the same thing. One might rank artists by streams, another might show minutes listened, and another could highlight a listening day or a percentage ranking. Spotify says it chooses the metric appropriate to each story, so two cards need not be based on identical calculations. A stream for the eligibility threshold required more than 30 seconds of a song.

- Background playback and autoplay: A track can influence results if it plays long enough, even if you were not paying close attention.
- Offline listening: Spotify said offline plays could be counted after the device reconnected and synchronized before launch.
- Private Mode and Taste Profile exclusions: These should not be reduced to “they never count.” Spotify’s methodology distinguishes total time spent listening from taste-based rankings and stories. Private Mode listening or content excluded from a Taste Profile may affect total time differently while not shaping taste-based stories; excluded tracks or playlists also did not count toward the stated eligibility thresholds.
- Shared accounts: If another person listened on your account, their playback could affect its recap.

Features in Spotify Wrapped 2025
Wrapped Clubs
Wrapped Clubs grouped listeners around patterns in their listening. Spotify’s examples included Full Charge Crew, Cosmic Stereo Club, Soft Hearts Club, Cloud State, Grit Collective, and Club Serotonin. These were generated from listening behavior rather than clubs users selected from a menu. Spotify did not fully disclose the logic behind every assignment, so treat a club as a playful description, not a definitive profile.
Wrapped Party
Wrapped Party let friends or family compare parts of their recaps, react with emojis, and see similarities or differences such as artist obsessions. Spotify’s launch instructions said users could start it from the Wrapped hub, search for “Wrapped Party,” or open it at the end of their personalized experience. Its comparisons are for fun, not a scientific measure of musical compatibility. See Spotify’s Wrapped Party instructions.

Fan Leaderboard
Some listeners received a Fan Leaderboard showing their relative standing among other fans of an artist. Availability varied, and this feature was reported in coverage of the launch; it was not a universal card. A ranking reflects Spotify’s comparison for the feature, not a complete measure of fandom.
Listening Age
Listening Age compared a listener’s music choices with patterns associated with release eras. Spotify’s stated criteria included a birth year of 1925 or later in the account and at least five streams within a five-year release-date band. It is a playful label about listening patterns—not a medical, psychological, or demographic assessment.

Listening Archive
The Archive used a large language model to summarize selected listening days, with examples such as a Biggest Discovery Day, Biggest Listening Day, or Most Nostalgic Day. It was not a complete diary of every day, and not every listener received every story.

Playlists, rankings, and playback controls
The experience included the Your Top Songs 2025 playlist, other personalized playlists, editorial “Best of” lists, and global rankings. Depending on the listener and market, Wrapped could also feature top albums, podcasts, or audiobooks. Spotify said the 2025 story added playback-speed controls and a way to revisit specific moments without restarting from the beginning. The cards, catalogs, and playlists were not necessarily identical for every account.

A result that conflicts with your memory does not, by itself, show that Spotify’s calculation was defective. These are common reasons for a surprising recap:
- Background or automatic playback: Tracks played through a playlist, radio, or autoplay can contribute even when they were incidental.
- The cutoff: Listening after approximately mid-November was generally outside the main 2025 recap period.
- A different account: Check that you are signed into the account you used during the year. Multiple accounts, or someone else using yours, can change the picture.
- Private Mode or exclusions: These can make total listening and taste-based stories differ.
- Offline sync: Offline plays depended on a device reconnecting and synchronizing before launch.
- Different meanings of “top”: A top song, top artist, top album, and total-minutes card may use different metrics.
- Feature or catalog differences: Availability can vary by market, and music or podcast content can later change or disappear because of catalog availability.
Wrapped summarizes activity according to Spotify’s chosen measures; it is not a definitive record of what you consider your favorite music.

It helps to separate three things: the interactive story, saved playlists, and downloadable account data. The story may no longer be surfaced, while a playlist can remain in Your Library. Spotify also says a data download may include Wrapped information when Wrapped is available in the account’s market. The downloadable data can include fields such as top artists and tracks, unique artists, genres, podcasts, plays for the top track, total listening time, and selected Wrapped stories; the exact contents depend on availability. If something is missing, try this sequence:
- Update the app and confirm you are signed into the right account.
- Search Spotify for 2025 Wrapped, then check Home and the Wrapped hub.
- Search Your Library for Your Top Songs 2025; check playlist filters and organization.
- If you deleted a playlist recently, check Spotify’s playlist-recovery process. Spotify generally allows deleted playlists to be recovered within 90 days, but that is not a realistic guarantee for a playlist deleted in 2025 and sought in 2026.
- If the playlist or content still appears missing, consult Spotify’s missing-content support guidance or contact Spotify support.
Spotify’s support guidance recommends using the latest app version and notes that Wrapped features are subject to eligibility. Neither that guidance nor the data-download option guarantees that a particular 2025 story or playlist will still be available to every account.
