Yes—Peacock is supported on LG TVs running webOS 3.5 or later. If your TV meets that requirement and Peacock is available in its regional app store, install the app, open it, and sign in. You can use an on-screen sign-in option or activate the TV with a code at Peacock’s official activation page.
Check whether your LG TV supports Peacock
Peacock lists LG televisions running webOS 3.5 or later among its supported devices. That is a software-version requirement, not a guarantee that every LG Smart TV has the app: availability can also depend on the exact model, the TV’s region setting, and its software. Peacock’s supported-device list is the best place to confirm compatibility.

To check your software version, open the TV’s Settings and look for General, then About This TV or TV Information. Labels and locations differ between LG models and webOS versions. If you do not see those exact names, look in the General or Support settings for software information. Do not rely on the model year alone; verify the webOS version and whether the app is available on your particular TV.

These instructions are for consumer LG televisions. An LG monitor, hotel TV, or commercial model may have different software or restrictions on its app marketplace. Peacock is officially available in the United States and certain U.S. territories, including Puerto Rico, Guam, American Samoa, the Northern Mariana Islands, and the U.S. Virgin Islands; a compatible TV does not make the service available everywhere. What you need before installing
- An LG TV running webOS 3.5 or later, connected to the internet.
- Access to the TV’s app marketplace, which may be called LG Content Store, Apps, or App Store.
- A Peacock account and an eligible subscription for the content you want to watch. You can create an account on Peacock’s website or follow the plan-selection flow in the app; see how to get Peacock.
- A phone, tablet, or computer if the TV app asks you to activate with a code.
Install Peacock on an LG Smart TV
- Turn on the TV and confirm it is connected to the internet.
- Press Home on the LG remote.
- Open the app marketplace. Depending on the TV, it may be labeled LG Content Store, Apps, or App Store.
- Choose the search icon or search field and search for Peacock.
- Select the official Peacock app, then choose Install, Download, or the download icon.
- When installation finishes, select Open. You can add the app to the Home bar or app list if your TV offers that option.
LG menu names vary by model and software version. Peacock’s Smart TV instructions confirm the general search, download, and open sequence, but not one menu path for every LG television.
Sign in or activate the TV
Open Peacock and choose Sign In. Your app may show a QR code, an activation code, or an on-screen email-and-password form; the available options vary by app version.
With an activation code
- Note the code displayed on the TV, or scan the QR code if one appears.
- On a phone, tablet, or computer, go to peacocktv.com/activate-device-code.
- Sign in to the Peacock account you want to use and enter the code shown on the TV.
- Wait for the TV app to refresh and display your account.
If the code is rejected or has expired, return to the TV app to generate a new one, then enter it promptly on Peacock’s official page. Check that you signed in to the intended account and that the TV is still online. Do not use an unofficial activation site.
With on-screen credentials
If the app offers email-and-password sign-in, enter the details for your Peacock account using the remote. This avoids using a second device, though typing on a TV can be slower. Not every LG TV app version offers both sign-in methods.
Find and play something
Once signed in, browse the Peacock home screen or use its magnifying-glass search. Depending on the app, you can explore areas such as Movies, TV Shows, Sports, WWE, and Channels. Select a title and press the remote’s select or play button. If a title is unavailable, your plan may not include it.
Peacock plans and U.S. prices
Peacock is not universally free. The U.S. list prices below were checked in August 2026; promotions, partner billing, student offers, and existing subscribers’ rates may differ. Check Peacock’s plans page before subscribing, since prices and benefits can change.

Premium is the straightforward choice for viewers who want the broader catalog, including sports and Originals. Select may suit someone who only wants its narrower TV catalog. Premium Plus is intended for viewers who value fewer ads, select downloads, or local NBC access, but it is not completely ad-free: ads can still appear in channels, live sports and events, and some programs. Peacock is missing from the LG app store
Try these checks before concluding that your TV is unsupported:
- Confirm the TV is connected to the internet; try another app or reload the marketplace.
- Search for Peacock directly instead of relying on featured apps on the Home screen.
- Check the TV’s country or service-area setting. App catalogs vary by region. Changing this setting can affect other apps and services, so it is not a guaranteed fix.
- Check for and install any available LG software update, then restart the TV and search again.
- Verify that the TV runs webOS 3.5 or later and compare it with Peacock’s supported-device list.
If the app remains unavailable after those checks, use another supported device or platform. Do not assume that changing the region will make Peacock appear or work.

The app will not install
Check the internet connection, confirm the TV has enough available storage if it reports a storage problem, and install available TV software updates. Restart the TV and try again. If Peacock still will not install, recheck the webOS version and regional availability.
The app crashes, freezes, or will not open
Restart the TV and router, then check whether other apps and internet services work. Install any available TV update. If the TV lets you remove apps, uninstall Peacock, restart, and install it again. Signing out and back in may help if the app opens but gets stuck in a session. If problems persist, check Peacock’s official help or support for service issues.

The code does not work or the TV does not refresh after activation
Generate a fresh code in Peacock on the TV, reopen the official activation page, sign in to the correct account, and enter the new code. Confirm the TV remains online. If activation succeeds in the browser but the TV is still stuck, close and reopen the app or restart the TV.

Video buffers or playback is unreliable
Restart the router and TV, check other apps, and try a more stable network connection if available. Congested Wi-Fi can interrupt streaming; moving the TV closer to the router or using a suitable wired connection may help. Avoid assuming a particular speed threshold: requirements can depend on the stream and network conditions.
There is no sound or the picture looks poor
Check the TV’s volume, mute setting, and audio output, and test another app or title to see whether the problem is limited to Peacock. Confirm the TV’s picture and sound settings are appropriate, then restart the app. If only one title has the issue, try another title and contact Peacock support if the problem continues.
Watch Peacock if your LG TV is unsupported
You do not have to replace a working TV. Peacock supports a range of other platforms, including Roku, Amazon Fire TV, Apple TV, Android TV or Google TV devices, PlayStation 4 and 5, and Xbox One or Xbox Series consoles. Support can differ by exact device model and operating-system version, so check Peacock’s current device list before choosing one. If you already own a compatible device, it may be all you need; otherwise, a streaming device is often a simpler fallback than replacing the television.

Another option is to connect a computer to the TV’s HDMI input and watch Peacock in a supported browser. This is less convenient than a native TV app, and browser support can change; consult Peacock’s device documentation for current requirements.
Outside the United States and listed U.S. territories, Peacock’s official service availability is limited. A supported LG model alone does not establish access in another country. VPN workarounds are not a dependable normal solution and can cause location, billing, or playback problems.
