Netflix’s full viewing history is accessed through a web browser on your phone, not through a clearly labeled history section in the main Netflix app. Open Netflix in Safari, Chrome, or another mobile browser, then go to Account → Profiles → choose a profile → Viewing activity. Your history is separated by profile, so select the profile that watched the title.
Quick method on any phone
- Open Safari, Chrome, or another mobile browser.
- Visit Netflix and sign in.
- Open your Account page.
- Under Profiles, select the profile whose activity you want to check.
- Open Viewing activity.
- Select Show More if Netflix does not initially display the full available list.
Netflix’s official instructions use this browser-based account route. The exact layout can vary by country, browser, device, and Netflix interface version.
How to see Netflix history on an iPhone
On an iPhone, open Safari and go to Netflix. Sign in, open Account, choose Profiles, select the relevant profile, and tap Viewing activity. Use Show More to reveal additional entries.

There is no separate iPhone-only history procedure. If you are looking in the Netflix app and cannot find a “History” button, switch to Safari and use the account page instead. How to see Netflix history on Android
On Android, open Chrome or another browser and visit Netflix. Sign in, open Account, select Profiles, choose the correct profile, and open Viewing activity. Tap Show More when available to display more entries.
The underlying steps are the same as on iPhone. Netflix’s app may allow you to switch profiles or edit profile settings, but the official route to the full viewing-activity list is through the browser-based Account page. Netflix explains profile switching for mobile devices in its profile-management guidance.
Why the correct profile matters
Netflix records viewing activity by profile rather than as one combined account-wide list. An account can have up to five profiles, and a title watched on one profile will not necessarily appear in another profile’s activity.

If a title seems to be missing:
- Check that you selected the profile that watched it.
- Check other household profiles if someone else may have watched it.
- Remember that Kids or restricted profiles may have a different experience and fewer available settings.
- If you switch profiles in the app before opening Netflix in a browser, confirm that the browser is showing the same account and profile.
Deleting a profile also deletes that profile’s viewing history and game saves. Netflix’s primary profile cannot be deleted. See Netflix’s profile-management information.
How far back does Netflix history go?
Netflix allows you to expand the list with Show More, but its viewing-history instructions do not state one universal retention period. Do not assume that the page will always contain every title ever watched.
If older activity is not visible, first select Show More and confirm the profile. You can also export the activity available to the account or contact Netflix support if the record still appears incomplete.

Download your Netflix viewing history
For a searchable or sortable copy, open the profile’s Viewing activity page and scroll to the bottom. Select Download all. Netflix provides the list in a format that can be opened with spreadsheet software supporting CSV files.

An export is useful when you want to search for a title, sort entries by date, filter a long list, or keep a personal archive. It reflects the activity available through the account; it is not a guarantee that Netflix retains an unlimited lifetime record.
How to remove or hide a title from viewing history
- Open Netflix in your phone’s browser.
- Go to Account → Profiles and choose the relevant profile.
- Open Viewing activity.
- Find the title you want to remove.
- Use the hide or remove control beside the entry, if displayed, and follow Netflix’s prompt.
Netflix’s interface may use different labels or layouts depending on the device and account. Its account-information guidance confirms that titles can be hidden from viewing activity; see Netflix’s instructions for hiding titles.

Hiding a title should not be treated as a promise that it immediately disappears from every Netflix surface. The available documentation does not specify every synchronization delay or guarantee instant changes to Continue Watching, recommendations, or device-local app data.
What if Netflix does not show “Account”?
Try these practical fixes:
- If you are inside the Netflix app, open Safari or Chrome instead.
- If you are on the profile-selection screen, sign in and select a profile first.
- Look for the profile icon or another account-management option if the mobile site uses simplified navigation.
- If you are using a Kids or restricted profile, switch to the appropriate profile or ask the account owner to manage account-level settings.
- Reload the page, sign out and back in, or try a private/incognito browser tab if an old or incomplete page is cached.
Menu names and placement can change, but the destination you need is the profile’s Viewing activity page.
What if the viewing list is incomplete?
- Verify that the correct profile is selected.
- Tap or select Show More.
- Check whether the title was watched under another household profile.
- Use Download all to inspect the available export.
- If the account is inactive, use Netflix’s personal-information request process.
- Contact Netflix support if the activity still appears incorrect.
For an account that is no longer active, Netflix says you must download a copy of your information to see viewing history. Netflix’s personal-information page says a request may take up to 30 days after identity verification, so this is a data-access process rather than an instant replacement for the normal activity page. Viewing activity, My List, and device activity are different

Continue Watching is also not a complete viewing-history record. It is a playback and recommendation row, so use Viewing activity when you need the actual available list of watched titles.
Netflix’s My List guidance covers the separate saved-title feature. Netflix’s personal-information documentation describes device and access information for devices active on the account in the last 90 days; device activity can help you investigate account access, but it does not show which titles were watched.
If you see an unfamiliar title
First check every profile, because accidental profile selection and shared household use are common explanations. Then review recent device activity separately. A viewing entry identifies title activity on a profile; device activity identifies recent account or device use. Neither record alone proves that the account was stolen.

The shortest answer
To see Netflix history on a phone, open Netflix in Safari or Chrome, sign in, go to Account, choose the correct profile under Profiles, and select Viewing activity. Use Show More for additional entries or Download all for a CSV-compatible copy.
