Yes, Twisters is available through Prime Video in the U.S., but that does not automatically mean it is included at no extra cost with an Amazon Prime membership. The phrase “Out of Oklahoma” refers to the film’s Oklahoma storm-chasing setting and to Lainey Wilson’s song “Out of Oklahoma” from Twisters: The Album—not to an official subtitle or announcement that the movie has left Oklahoma.

Is Twisters free with Amazon Prime?
Not necessarily. “Available on Prime Video” can describe several different arrangements, and only one means that there is no separate movie charge for an eligible member.

How to watch Twisters on Prime Video
- Open Prime Video and search for Twisters (2024).
- Confirm the title is the film starring Daisy Edgar-Jones, Glen Powell and Anthony Ramos.
- Inspect the offer button. Look specifically for “Watch with Prime,” “Rent,” “Buy” or “Subscribe.”
- Check the listed price, resolution, subtitles, audio and language options.
- Before selecting “Rent” or “Buy,” confirm that the displayed terms and price are acceptable.
Prime Video’s menus differ across browsers, smart TVs, game consoles and mobile apps, so searching for the exact title is more reliable than following a fixed menu path.
What does “Out of Oklahoma” mean?
It has two relevant meanings.
First, Twisters is centered on tornado country in Oklahoma. The story follows storm chasers during a major outbreak. Peacock’s official announcement describes Kate, played by Daisy Edgar-Jones, as someone who moves away from field storm chasing on the Oklahoma prairie to study storms remotely in New York before returning to the field. “Out of Oklahoma” can therefore work as shorthand for the film’s setting and Kate’s relationship with it.

Second, “Out of Oklahoma” is a Lainey Wilson song from Twisters: The Album. The track is listed by Peacock’s soundtrack guide and on Apple Music.
It is not the movie’s official subtitle, and the phrase should not be read as a literal distribution or plot announcement that Twisters has “left” Oklahoma.

The film is a standalone sequel to the 1996 movie Twister, designed to be understandable without watching the earlier film. Peacock’s official release announcement identifies it as a standalone sequel and details its cast and premise.
