There is no single nationwide Xfinity channel number for the Big Ten Network (BTN). Your channel depends on your local Xfinity service area, lineup, TV package, and sometimes whether you are viewing an SD or HD feed. To find the exact number for your address, use Xfinity’s local channel lineup and search for “Big Ten Network” or “BTN.”
BTN has appeared on different Xfinity channel numbers in published lineups and support discussions, including 726, 742, 403, and 1313. These are market-specific examples—not reliable nationwide answers.
How to find BTN on your Xfinity lineup
- Open Xfinity’s channel-lineup page.
- Enter your service address or ZIP code. If available, sign in and choose View My Channels for your account-specific lineup.
- Search for Big Ten Network, BTN, or Big Ten Network HD.
- Check whether the listing is included in your subscribed package.
- If several results appear, compare the SD, HD, alternate-feed, or regional listings.
Xfinity channel information may load dynamically, so its live address-specific lineup is more reliable than a static channel list.

What Xfinity package includes Big Ten Network?
BTN is not guaranteed to be included with every Xfinity TV plan. Xfinity currently lists Big Ten Network among the channels offered through its Sports & News TV offering. The page has displayed a price of $90 per month, but the actual price can vary by address, promotion, taxes, equipment, eligibility, and contract terms.

Older Xfinity support material also associates BTN with the More Sports & Entertainment package in some areas. Package names and channel tiers can change, so your account’s current lineup should take precedence over an older package description.

Search for BTN on your TV
Open the Xfinity guide and search for Big Ten Network or BTN. You can also use your Xfinity voice remote to search for the network or for the specific game. Remote commands and menu labels vary by equipment and software version, so searching by the program name can be more useful than searching only by channel.
Eligible customers may also be able to watch BTN through the Xfinity Stream app. This requires qualifying Xfinity service and does not make BTN a free standalone streaming channel; availability varies by market, subscription, device, and programming rights.

What if BTN is listed but the game is missing?
Finding BTN in your lineup does not mean every Big Ten event will air there. A particular game may instead be carried by FOX, FS1, FS2, CBS, NBC, Peacock, or another rights partner. Conference membership also does not guarantee that every game involving a school—including recently added schools such as UCLA, Oregon, USC, or Washington—will appear on BTN in every market.
Other possible explanations include:
- Your package does not include BTN, even though the channel exists in the local lineup.
- The guide is showing an SD, HD, or alternate feed.
- The event has a regional restriction or market-specific rights limitation.
- The guide has not updated correctly.
- Xfinity recently changed the lineup or package.
BTN troubleshooting checklist
- Recheck the address-specific lineup and search for both “BTN” and “Big Ten Network.”
- Confirm your current package and whether it includes BTN.
- Search the guide by the game or program name.
- Check the event’s official listing for another network or streaming service.
- Refresh or restart the Xfinity TV box or app.
- If using Xfinity Stream, sign out and back in.
- Review recent Xfinity billing or account notices for package changes.
- Contact Xfinity support with your service address and package name.
A missing BTN listing is usually a market, package, rights, or guide issue. Ordering a new box should not be the first remedy.

Should you add an Xfinity sports package?
If you already have Xfinity TV, check the address-specific lineup and price the applicable sports add-on before considering a provider switch. If you need only one game, verify its network and streaming destination first. The advertised Sports & News TV offer may also include Xfinity Stream access, DVR capacity, and Peacock Premium with ads, but those benefits and terms are subject to the offer shown for your address.
