For August 25–31, 2026, the strongest Canada-specific streaming additions are Power Rangers seasons 1–32 on Prime Video and Crave’s August 28 documentary, reality and film cluster. Disney+, Netflix and Paramount+ also have notable scheduled titles, but their available calendars require regional or plan checks before they can be treated as guaranteed Canadian listings.
The week’s main watchlist includes Venom: The Last Dance, Netflix’s scheduled thriller The Whisper Man and Blue Valentine on Paramount+. Here is the date-by-date guide, followed by the caveats that matter for Canadian viewers.
If your television does not support one of the named apps, a streaming stick such as Roku Streaming Stick HD or Amazon Fire TV Stick HD may be a simple way to add app access. It is not required if your TV, set-top box or game console already supports the services.
Streaming highlights by date
The dates below are for August 25–31, 2026. The most reliable Canada-specific information in this research comes from Bell Media’s Crave overview and Prime Video Canada’s release list. Disney+ and Netflix require more caution because the available calendars combine regions or do not establish Canadian availability for every title.

The five best bets for the week
1. Power Rangers seasons 1–32 — Prime Video, Aug. 27
This is the week’s clearest catalogue event. Prime Video Canada’s schedule lists seasons 1 through 32 of Power Rangers arriving together, making it a substantial franchise-library addition rather than a single new episode or film.
The size of the drop makes it especially useful for families, longtime fans and viewers looking for a long-running watchlist. Because the schedule identifies the season range specifically, this is one of the strongest recommendations in the article and does not depend on interpreting a U.S.-only Hulu or ESPN listing.
2. Venom: The Last Dance — Disney+, Aug. 25
Disney’s August release calendar lists Venom: The Last Dance for August 25. It is the most immediately recognizable movie in the week’s Disney+ listings and a natural headline pick for viewers looking for a major franchise title.

The important qualification is regional: the calendar is a general Disney release page, not a Canada-specific catalogue bulletin. Check the Canadian Disney+ app or title page before treating the film as guaranteed Canadian availability.
3. Crave’s Aug. 28 documentary and unscripted cluster
Crave has the week’s densest Canada-specific group of arrivals on Friday. The list includes the Canadian title Lucky Day, Killer Whale, Crave Original documentary Fool Me Once with episodes 1–4, episode 6 of Icons Unearthed: Quentin Tarantino Movies and season 3, episode 1 of Traqueur de chars.

- Compact without compromises: The sleek design of Roku Streaming Stick won’t block neighboring HDMI ports, and it even powers from your TV alone, plugging into the back and staying out of sight. No wall outlet, no extra cords, no clutter.
- No more juggling remotes: Power up your TV, adjust the volume, and control your Roku device with one remote. Use your voice to quickly search, play entertainment, and more.
- Shows on the go: Take your TV to-go when traveling—without needing to log into someone else’s device.
- TV, simplified: With setup that only takes minutes, a simple-to-navigate Home Screen, and an uncluttered remote control that does all you need—Roku makes it easier to watch the TV you love.
For DocumentaryTube readers, Fool Me Once is the clearest starting point because it is identified as a Crave Original documentary. Icons Unearthed: Quentin Tarantino Movies is another useful pick for viewers who prefer film-history and behind-the-scenes programming. The Bell Media overview groups these under Crave, but individual availability can still depend on the subscriber’s package.
4. The Whisper Man — Netflix, Aug. 28
A current August streaming calendar lists Netflix original thriller The Whisper Man for August 28. It is the week’s strongest suspense-oriented movie recommendation and could be the best choice for viewers who want a single new film rather than a large catalogue or weekly-episode commitment.
It should be presented as a scheduled Netflix title, not as an unqualified Netflix Canada confirmation. Netflix’s official 2026 coming-soon material establishes the broader slate but does not provide a complete Canada-specific list for this week in the materials reviewed.
5. Blue Valentine — Paramount+, Aug. 30
Paramount+’s official August movie schedule lists Blue Valentine for August 30. The classic romance gives the week a different kind of option from the franchise films, reality programming and thriller releases elsewhere.
Paramount+ warns that some titles require the Premium plan and that library dates may change. Confirm both the date and the plan requirement in Canada before relying on the listing.
Platform-by-platform guide
Crave: the most dependable Canada-focused schedule
Bell Media’s August overview supplies the clearest Canada-specific programming picture among the five services. On August 25, Dark Side of the Ring season 7 reaches its episode 9 Crave Original finale, while Chasseurs d’héritiers season 2 begins with episode 1.

On August 26, Jeopardy Masters! arrives on Crave the next day. On August 27, Drag Race France season 4 concludes with episode 8. The major Friday group follows on August 28: Lucky Day, Killer Whale, Fool Me Once episodes 1–4, Icons Unearthed: Quentin Tarantino Movies episode 6 and Traqueur de chars season 3, episode 1.
Use Crave as the safest place to start if Canadian availability is the priority, but do not assume that every title is included with every Crave plan. Bell Media’s overview is a programming guide, and packages can impose their own restrictions.
Disney+: one strong movie, several U.S.-package cautions
Venom: The Last Dance is listed for August 25 and is the cleanest potential Canadian Disney+ highlight. The rest of the week needs more careful handling.
Disney’s calendar lists an episode of The Shards, an episode of Project Runway and the season 2 premiere of Adults on August 27. It also lists Flex X Cop season 2 episodes on August 28 and 29. However, the page combines Disney+, Hulu on Disney+ and ESPN programming and includes U.S.-specific plan and location qualifications. Those entries should not be automatically rewritten as Canadian Disney+ additions.
Do these 3 things before closing this tab:
1Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitches2Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errors3Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minuteThe same warning applies to the US Open first round listed for August 30 through the U.S. Disney+/ESPN package. It is not a confirmed Canadian Disney+ title in this research.
Netflix: useful schedule signals, but not a Canada guarantee
The available current August schedule points to the Stamptown special on August 25, Leanne season 2 on August 27 and The Whisper Man on August 28. These are worthwhile planning signals, particularly The Whisper Man for thriller viewers, but they do not carry the same Canada-specific confirmation as the Crave and Prime Video lists.

- Compact without compromises: Our sleek design won’t block neighboring HDMI ports, so you can switch from streaming to gaming with ease. Plus, it’s designed to stay hidden behind your TV, keeping wires neatly out of sight
The safest wording is that Netflix’s published August schedule currently points to these titles. A regional catalogue check is needed before saying they are definitely available in Canada. No Canada-specific Netflix title was verified for August 26 or August 31 in the official materials reviewed.
Paramount+: Blue Valentine, with a plan check
The principal Paramount+ entry for the target week is Blue Valentine on August 30. Paramount+’s official August movie schedule notes that some titles require the Premium plan and that library dates are subject to change. Those are not minor footnotes: a title may appear on the service’s schedule without being included in every tier, and the date may move before the week arrives.
Prime Video: the largest library addition
Prime Video Canada lists Power Rangers seasons 1–32 for August 27. On August 28, the Canadian schedule adds Barreda, Betty La Fea – La Historia Continua season 3 and Normal. The schedule identifies Barreda and Betty La Fea – La Historia Continua as Prime Originals and describes Normal as exclusive content.
The smaller August 31 additions are Itsuka, Mujuryoku No Sora De season 1 and Shiba No Okite season 1. They are better treated as niche additions for viewers already interested in those titles than as the week’s main recommendation.
One title requires an editorial warning: The Last Sunrise appears in the introductory highlights of the Prime Video Canada roundup as an August 26 release, but it is omitted from that source’s detailed August 25–31 Canada list. Until Amazon’s Canadian title page resolves the discrepancy, it should not be counted as a confirmed August 26 arrival.
Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone. How to read the regional caveats
- Canada-specific listing: The title appears in a Canada-focused service schedule, as with the Prime Video Canada and Bell Media Crave lists. This is the strongest evidence here, although plans and dates can still change.
- General service calendar: The title is listed by the platform, but the page does not establish Canadian availability. This applies especially to Venom: The Last Dance and the Disney entries.
- Industry or current streaming calendar: The title is a useful release signal, but it is not equivalent to an official Netflix Canada announcement. This applies to Stamptown, Leanne and The Whisper Man.
- Plan-dependent listing: A title may be scheduled for the service but require a particular tier. Paramount+ specifically warns that some movies require Premium.
Before starting a film or planning a group watch, check availability in Canada in the relevant app or a current streaming-availability search. Regional catalogues, rights arrangements, subscription tiers and release dates can change between a published schedule and the actual date.

Frequently Asked Questions
Which titles are most reliably confirmed for Canada?
The most firmly Canada-focused picks are the Crave arrivals listed in Bell Media’s August overview and Prime Video’s Canadian listings, especially Power Rangers seasons 1–32 on August 27. Disney+ entries require a Canada-region check, while the Netflix titles come from a broader August schedule rather than an official Netflix Canada weekly bulletin.
Are all 32 Power Rangers seasons coming to Prime Video Canada?
Prime Video Canada’s schedule lists seasons 1 through 32 of Power Rangers for August 27, 2026. The catalogue size makes it the largest single franchise addition highlighted for this week, although availability can still change.
Are the Disney+ listings automatically available in Canada?
No. Disney’s calendar combines Disney+, Hulu on Disney+ and ESPN programming and includes U.S.-specific plan and location qualifications. Venom: The Last Dance is the strongest potential Canadian Disney+ pick, but the Canadian catalogue should be checked before publication or viewing.
Is The Whisper Man confirmed for Netflix Canada?
The Whisper Man is listed for Netflix on August 28 by a current August streaming calendar, but the research did not independently confirm it in an official Netflix Canada weekly announcement. Treat it as a scheduled Netflix title pending a regional catalogue check.
