WWE SmackDown is not missing from Netflix UK because the rights have ended. On Thursday, August 13, 2026, the next episode simply has not aired yet. It is scheduled for Friday, August 14, with UK viewers expected to find the live broadcast at about 1:00 a.m. BST on Saturday, August 15.
WWE SmackDown has not been removed from Netflix in the UK. The apparent disappearance is most likely explained by the schedule: on Thursday, August 13, 2026, the next episode has not aired yet. The next SmackDown is scheduled for Friday, August 14, 2026, from TD Garden in Boston, with an 8:00 p.m. Eastern start. That is listed as midnight GMT, or approximately 1:00 a.m. British Summer Time on Saturday, August 15.
For UK viewers, Netflix remains the relevant live-streaming service for SmackDown. WWE’s viewing guidance distinguishes the United States, where SmackDown continues on USA Network, from most international markets, including the UK, where it is available live on Netflix.
Why SmackDown may not be showing on Netflix UK
The next episode has not aired yet
If you check Netflix on Thursday, August 13, the service may show the WWE SmackDown series page without a new episode ready to play. That does not mean the programme has left the catalogue. The available schedule places the next broadcast on Friday, August 14, at 8:00 p.m. Eastern.

For UK fans, the important point is the time-zone change. The US broadcast time converts to midnight GMT, which falls at about 1:00 a.m. in the UK during British Summer Time. In practical terms, UK viewers should look for the live event late on Friday night or in the early hours of Saturday—not on Thursday afternoon.
US viewing information can cause confusion
Many WWE search results and television listings are written for American viewers. In the United States, SmackDown is associated with USA Network. That arrangement does not describe the UK market.
WWE’s international viewing guidance says that most viewers outside the US receive Raw, SmackDown, NXT and Premium Live Events live on Netflix. Netflix’s own SmackDown guidance specifically includes the United Kingdom among the territories where members can watch the programme live.

Therefore, a US article saying that SmackDown is on USA Network—or describing a Netflix limitation affecting the US—should not be treated as evidence that Netflix UK has lost the rights.

The UK Netflix site continues to identify WWE SmackDown as a 2026 series, and Netflix supports live WWE programming through its live-event functionality. A missing episode tile, an incomplete search result or a page that has not refreshed is not the same thing as a UK-wide rights removal.

What to do if SmackDown still does not appear
- Check the date. There is no new episode scheduled for Thursday, August 13. The next listed broadcast is Friday, August 14.
- Confirm that you are seeing the UK catalogue. Regional rights differ. A US-based account, location setting or search result may direct you to USA Network information instead.
- Open the direct WWE SmackDown title page. Do not rely only on a general search for “SmackDown.” Netflix’s UK catalogue has a dedicated page for the series.
- Check again during the live window. Because the UK broadcast falls overnight, the live listing may not be available as a playable new episode earlier in the day.
- Refresh the app or try another supported device. If the direct title page is visible but the live option is missing, close and reopen Netflix, update the app if necessary, and check from a web browser or another device.
- Check your account’s location and access. If Netflix consistently shows a different regional catalogue, investigate the account or network location rather than assuming that WWE rights have ended in Britain.
These steps address catalogue timing and regional-display problems. The available evidence does not establish a current UK-wide Netflix outage, so it would be premature to describe the situation as a confirmed service failure.
Why Netflix is the UK platform
The current arrangement is part of WWE’s wider international distribution strategy. WWE and Netflix announced Netflix as the home of Raw in selected territories from January 2025, while also describing Netflix as the home for other weekly WWE programming, including SmackDown and NXT, outside the United States where available.

The distinction matters: the US television arrangement and the UK Netflix arrangement are not interchangeable. WWE’s current viewing guide continues to identify USA Network for SmackDown in the US and Netflix for most international viewers. Netflix’s UK guidance separately lists Britain as a live SmackDown territory.
Should UK fans use a VPN or an unofficial stream?
No. There is no apparent need to evade regional rights when the official UK platform is Netflix. VPN use can produce an incorrect catalogue, interfere with location checks or create account and service-quality problems. Unofficial streams also carry reliability and security risks. The straightforward option is to use the UK Netflix catalogue and check the direct SmackDown page around the scheduled live time.

Fans looking for something beyond the broadcast can find officially marketed SmackDown apparel through WWE Shop, including men’s and youth ProSphere Black SmackDown T-shirts and other clothing and accessories. That is separate from the streaming question, however: the existence of official merchandise does not verify an Amazon UK listing, its price, delivery availability or affiliate eligibility.

Frequently Asked Questions
Has WWE SmackDown been removed from Netflix UK?
No. The available WWE and Netflix guidance continues to identify the UK as a Netflix territory for live SmackDown. The apparent absence is more likely to be caused by the episode not having aired yet, regional confusion or the catalogue page not showing the live listing.
What time is WWE SmackDown on Netflix in the UK this week?
The next listed episode is Friday, August 14, 2026, at 8:00 p.m. Eastern. That is midnight GMT, or approximately 1:00 a.m. British Summer Time on Saturday, August 15.
Why do some websites say SmackDown is on USA Network instead of Netflix?
In the US, SmackDown continues on USA Network. In the UK and most international territories, WWE identifies Netflix as the live-streaming platform. US listings therefore do not necessarily describe UK availability.
