Paramount+’s U.S. lineup for December 2024 was led by Dexter: Original Sin, a 10-episode prequel series, along with Christmas specials, holiday concerts, CBS events, a substantial December 1 movie drop, and live sports. The schedule below reflects announced or reported U.S. additions for that month—not a guarantee that every title remained available throughout the month or in every country.
Need a streaming device?
If your television does not run the Paramount+ app reliably, an Amazon Fire TV Stick 4K is one possible streaming-media-device option to investigate. Check current Paramount+ app compatibility, the exact model sold in your marketplace, and the device’s current price before buying. The device does not include a Paramount+ or SHOWTIME subscription.

Dated programming also included NFL on CBS, UEFA Champions League and Europa League matches, college basketball, the Army–Navy Game, college football, and other live events. Exact matchups and start times depend on the event calendar and local listings, so viewers should consult the Paramount+ schedule close to the date of the game. Live sports and local CBS access can also depend on the plan and market.
How CBS live and on-demand access worked
The December schedule distinguished between watching certain CBS programming live and watching it later on demand. According to the reported U.S. listing, Paramount+ with SHOWTIME subscribers could livestream CBS titles through the service’s live feed. Those titles were then scheduled to become available on demand to all Paramount+ subscribers the day after their live broadcast.

That distinction matters for programs such as holiday specials, awards shows, NFL broadcasts, and other CBS events. “Available on Paramount+” did not necessarily mean that every subscriber could watch the program live at the same time as the broadcast.

What to know about the December 2024 list
- This is a U.S. schedule. Paramount+ catalogs and release dates vary by territory. An Australian December guide, for example, listed a materially different group of additions, including Dear Santa, Fast X, and season 5 of Ghosts. Those titles should not be treated as part of this U.S. list.
- Plan restrictions apply. Several movies were marked SHOWTIME-only, and Dexter: Original Sin was identified as available to Paramount+ with SHOWTIME subscribers.
- Streaming availability is not permanent. Movies and shows can leave when licensing windows expire, and a title’s availability can change during or after the month.
- “New” means new to the reported December lineup. It does not mean that every title was a new production or a Paramount+ original.
Best bets from the month
For a scripted mystery or crime-drama audience, Dexter: Original Sin was the clearest December appointment. Families had SpongeBob & Sandy’s Country Christmas, Peppa Pig: Winter Wonderland, and the two Tom and Jerry holiday movies. Movie viewers could choose from prestige titles such as Malcolm X, The Queen, No Country for Old Men, Judas and the Black Messiah, and Zodiac, while holiday viewing included Arthur Christmas, Miracle on 34th Street, Deck the Halls, and A Christmas Carol.
The month also offered a substantial documentary and nonfiction component: as1one, An Evening with Dua Lipa, the Kennedy Center Honors, Grammy retrospectives, and several live or recorded holiday events.
