The match used a wide range of ringside objects, including tables, chairs, a stretcher, the announce table, a crutch and a fire extinguisher. It was not a standard pinfall or submission match; the decisive objective was getting an opponent into the ambulance and shutting the door.

What was advertised but did not appear in the confirmed results
A preview-stage card discussed a possible WWE Women’s Championship match between Jade Cargill and Michin. Michin’s status was uncertain after she was reportedly injured during the WWE Holiday Tour.
That match does not appear on WWE’s completed January 2 results page. It should therefore be treated as a previewed or uncertain bout, not as a confirmed match from the episode that aired.
Why some listings said Brooklyn instead of Buffalo
Earlier WWE event information created a venue discrepancy. An October 17, 2025 WWE announcement listed the January 2, 2026 SmackDown at Barclays Center in Brooklyn and listed a January 5 Raw at KeyBank Center in Buffalo.

Later event information, contemporary coverage and the completed WWE results record placed the January 2 SmackDown at KeyBank Center in Buffalo, New York. Event photography and the final results support Buffalo as the actual location. The earlier Brooklyn listing appears to have been superseded by a later schedule or venue assignment.
The three-hour format
WWE promoted January 2 as SmackDown’s return to a three-hour format. The official preview specifically highlighted the expanded presentation, and the Buffalo event listing also described the show as a three-hour SmackDown.
That does not mean the Peacock file should run for exactly 180 minutes. Peacock lists the episode at 131 minutes, which is consistent with a platform-edited or catalogued program length that excludes some combination of advertising, broadcast padding or other live-window material.
WWE fan gear connected to the episode’s title stories
The episode included multiple championship developments, including Giulia’s win over Chelsea Green and Carmelo Hayes’s successful United States Championship defense. Fans looking for a physical item can browse the official WWE championship belt and merchandise categories, including belts, apparel, toys and collectibles.
Product availability changes, and a belt should not be described as a January 2 episode commemorative item unless the product listing specifically says so. A general SmackDown toy title belt or WWE replica title belt is a fan item—not proof that it is connected to this particular broadcast.
