Pre-event predictions and biggest questions
Before the show, WWE’s official prediction coverage focused heavily on IYO SKY versus Rhea Ripley. The match brought together two of the division’s strongest performers but with sharply different approaches: SKY’s speed, aerial offense and precision against Ripley’s power and physical control. WWE’s analysis also pointed to SKY’s recent competitive advantage over Ripley and the importance of the approaching SummerSlam season.

That made the Women’s World Championship match the obvious prediction centerpiece, but it was not the only significant question going into Evolution:
- Could Rhea Ripley regain the Women’s World Championship? The match looked like a straightforward title fight until Naomi’s contract changed its entire structure.
- Would Tiffany Stratton defeat Hall of Famer Trish Stratus? The match tested whether the current champion could overcome the experience and legacy of a returning WWE legend.
- Would Naomi keep her Money in the Bank contract? This was the crucial wildcard. Naomi was announced for the No Holds Barred Match against Jade Cargill, but she was not an announced participant in the Women’s World Championship match.
- Who would win the Battle Royal? The prize offered a direct route to a women’s world-title opportunity at Clash in Paris and gave the match importance beyond simple elimination-match spectacle.

Becky Lynch retained the Women’s Intercontinental Championship
Becky Lynch opened the event by defeating Bayley and Lyra Valkyria in the Women’s Intercontinental Championship Triple Threat. The result extended Lynch’s reign and paid off a storyline built around her betrayal of Valkyria, their former mentor-and-protégé dynamic and Bayley’s return to the rivalry.
Jacy Jayne retained the NXT Women’s Championship
Jacy Jayne defeated Jordynne Grace to keep the NXT Women’s Championship. Blake Monroe’s ringside interference played a decisive role in the finish, giving Jayne an important defense while leaving Grace with a clear grievance over the circumstances of the result.
Jade Cargill defeated Naomi in a No Holds Barred Match
Jade Cargill won the violent rivalry match against Naomi, with Bianca Belair serving as special guest referee. Weapons were used throughout the bout, and Cargill finished Naomi with an Avalanche Jaded through a table.

The result initially appeared to leave Naomi with a difficult night: she had lost the No Holds Barred Match and still had to decide what to do with her Money in the Bank contract. Her later decision became the event’s turning point.

Tiffany Stratton retained the WWE Women’s Championship against Trish Stratus
Tiffany Stratton defeated Trish Stratus in the champion-versus-Hall-of-Famer contest. Stratus mounted a serious challenge, but Stratton survived her offense and secured the victory with the Alabama Slam followed by the Prettiest Moonsault Ever. The win reinforced Stratton’s position as the current champion rather than treating the match as a ceremonial appearance by a legend.
Raquel Rodriguez and Roxanne Perez retained the Women’s Tag Team Championship
Raquel Rodriguez and Roxanne Perez successfully defended the Women’s Tag Team Championship in the Fatal 4-Way against The Kabuki Warriors, Alexa Bliss and Charlotte Flair, and Sol Ruca and Zaria.
The closing sequence featured several notable moments. Rodriguez launched Alexa Bliss into the ringside field, Perez took Charlotte Flair out of the immediate action, and Rodriguez pinned Sol Ruca after delivering a Tejana Bomb. The champions therefore survived a match designed to keep all four teams in contention at once.

Stephanie Vaquer won the Evolution Battle Royal to earn a women’s world-title opportunity at Clash in Paris. The final group included Vaquer, Lash Legend, Nia Jax and Nikki Bella. Vaquer eliminated Lash Legend to secure the victory and the future title opportunity.
Naomi cashed in and won the Women’s World Championship
The night’s biggest surprise came during the advertised Women’s World Championship match between IYO SKY and Rhea Ripley. Naomi appeared with her Money in the Bank contract and cashed in while SKY and Ripley were already wrestling.

The cash-in converted the singles match into a triple threat. Naomi attacked both competitors and pinned IYO SKY to become the new Women’s World Champion. The finish immediately changed the meaning of the entire card: Naomi lost her earlier match to Cargill, but ended the event with the most important championship in the SmackDown women’s division.
It is important not to describe Naomi as a previously announced participant in the title match. She entered that contest because she used the Money in the Bank contract during the match, not because WWE had announced her as part of the original bout.
How to watch WWE Evolution 2025 now
Because Evolution 2025 has already taken place, the relevant question is where its replay is currently catalogued rather than where to watch it live.
On the event date, WWE listed Peacock as the U.S. live-streaming destination and Netflix as the international destination. WWE’s event information gave a 6:30 p.m. local start time for Atlanta, while event coverage listed the live broadcast at 7 p.m. Eastern/4 p.m. Pacific. Those times describe the original July 2025 broadcast and should not be treated as a current schedule.
WWE subsequently announced that U.S. Premium Live Events would move to ESPN platforms beginning September 20, 2025, with Wrestlepalooza as the first event under that arrangement. That later distribution change does not by itself confirm whether the complete Evolution 2025 replay is available in a particular current catalog. Availability can also vary by country.

If you are looking for a physical souvenir, search for WWE Evolution 2025 shirt or comparable women’s-wrestling merchandise, but verify that any current marketplace listing is official or appropriately licensed before buying. Event merchandise can disappear or become resale inventory after the show, so availability, price and authenticity should be checked at the time of purchase. Evolution was built around established champions, returning stars and high-profile rivalries, but its lasting story was the combination of two different outcomes for Naomi. She lost the No Holds Barred Match to Jade Cargill and then used the same night’s remaining opportunity to take the Women’s World Championship from the SKY–Ripley contest.
Stephanie Vaquer’s Battle Royal victory also created a second forward-looking title storyline, with a promised opportunity at Clash in Paris. Meanwhile, Lynch, Jayne, Stratton, and Rodriguez and Perez all left Atlanta with their championships intact. The result was a card that produced several successful defenses but one dramatic title change—the cash-in that no pre-event match listing could fully account for.
