Important date note: The 2025 Players Championship is over. It was played from Thursday, March 13, through Sunday, March 16, 2025, at TPC Sawgrass in Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida, with the championship finishing Monday, March 17, after a playoff. The original U.S. broadcast schedule used Golf Channel for the first two rounds and NBC for the main weekend window. Peacock carried the complete final-round stream, including the weather-adjusted coverage that began Sunday morning.
The schedule below is a historical viewing guide to the 2025 event, not a listing for live programming today.
When and where was the 2025 Players Championship?
THE PLAYERS Championship 2025 was held at the Stadium Course at TPC Sawgrass in Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida. The scheduled tournament dates were March 13–16, 2025. Severe-weather concerns changed the Sunday plan, and the final round was not completed until Monday, March 17.
Rory McIlroy eventually won the tournament by defeating J.J. Spaun in a playoff. Both players finished regulation at 12-under par.

Revised Sunday final-round schedule
The Sunday schedule was moved earlier because thunderstorms and strong winds were forecast for the Ponte Vedra Beach area during the afternoon. The change allowed more of the final round to be played before the worst expected weather.
- 8–10 a.m.: Live From THE PLAYERS on Golf Channel and the NBC Sports app.
- 10 a.m.–noon: Final-round coverage on Golf Channel, Peacock and the NBC Sports app.
- Noon–12:30 p.m.: NBC/Golf Channel simulcast, with Peacock continuing the stream.
- 12:30–3 p.m.: Final-round coverage on NBC and Peacock.
- 3–5 p.m.: Live From THE PLAYERS post-round coverage on Golf Channel and the NBC Sports app.
Peacock carried the complete final-round presentation from start to finish. Television descriptions sometimes summarized the handoff as Golf Channel from 10 a.m. to noon followed by NBC, while the detailed schedule also identified a noon-to-12:30 p.m. NBC/Golf Channel simulcast. How to stream the Players Championship
Peacock
Peacock was the clearest complete-stream option for the final round. It carried the Sunday coverage continuously, including the portion that started on Golf Channel and the later NBC network window. This mattered because viewers did not need to switch services when coverage moved between television networks.

NBCSports.com and the NBC Sports app
NBCSports.com and the NBC Sports app were listed as official digital destinations for the tournament, including the first two rounds and associated studio programming. Availability of individual streams can depend on the event, location and current authentication requirements, so the app or website should be checked for the specific program rather than assuming every television segment appears there.
What about ESPN+?
The 2025 PGA TOUR schedule listed NBC, Golf Channel, ESPN+ and SiriusXM among THE PLAYERS Championship’s broadcast partners. That establishes ESPN+ as part of the tournament’s broader media distribution, but it does not establish that ESPN+ carried the same complete NBC/Golf Channel television feed. Can an antenna receive the Players Championship?
An indoor HDTV antenna for local NBC could have been useful for viewers whose location and signal conditions supported their local NBC station during the weekend coverage. Reception is location-dependent, however, and an antenna does not replace Golf Channel access for Thursday and Friday or Peacock for the complete Sunday stream.
In practical terms, an antenna was relevant only to the NBC portion of the schedule. It was not a substitute for a pay-TV service carrying Golf Channel, and it could not guarantee reception of a local affiliate in every home.
Why did the Sunday schedule change?
Tournament officials moved Sunday tee times and television windows earlier after forecasts called for thunderstorms and strong winds in the afternoon. The adjustment was announced Saturday evening and changed the originally planned Sunday coverage from a conventional afternoon NBC window to an early-morning start.

The original announcement had listed Sunday coverage broadly in the afternoon, including NBC and Peacock, with Golf Channel involvement.
