As of August 11, 2026, Hulu has not announced its full December 2026 lineup. That means there is no responsible way to publish a complete list of documentaries, films, series, or holiday specials “coming to Hulu next month” yet. Hulu’s currently available official schedule reaches through August, while December programming is still a watchlist rather than a confirmed arrivals list.
This page will be most useful as an early update for U.S. viewers: it explains what has—and has not—been confirmed, where Hulu normally posts its monthly announcements, and how to avoid confusing Hulu titles with Disney+ programming or older holiday schedules.
December 2026 Hulu arrivals: the confirmed status
At the latest authoritative check on August 11, 2026, Hulu had not published a complete December 2026 arrivals announcement or a dedicated December 2026 schedule. Hulu’s official press schedule was populated with dated August programming, including the August 17 premiere of It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia Season 18 and the August 27 premiere of Adults Season 2.
Those August listings are useful because they show Hulu’s publication pattern: the service does not necessarily maintain a complete, year-round calendar months in advance. December information may appear later in a regular monthly schedule, a holiday-specific press release, or announcements from Hulu, FX, Disney, ABC, or an individual distributor.

Bottom line: There are currently no December 2026 Hulu titles that can be presented here as a verified, complete list. Treat any website claiming to have the “full December 2026 Hulu schedule” this far ahead as provisional unless each title is supported by an official announcement that explicitly names Hulu and gives a December date.
What is—and is not—confirmed
| Question | Current answer |
|---|---|
| Has Hulu published its full December 2026 lineup? | No. No complete official December schedule was verified as of August 11, 2026. |
| Are December 2026 documentaries confirmed? | Not as a group. No complete documentary arrivals list with verified Hulu dates was available at the research date. |
| Can August 2026 Hulu premieres be treated as December arrivals? | No. They are current schedule examples, not December confirmations. |
| Can a title announced for Disney+ automatically be called a Hulu title? | No. The announcement must explicitly identify Hulu availability, Hulu on Disney+, or next-day Hulu availability. |
| Is the final schedule likely to change? | Yes. Monthly additions, removals, dates, territories, and service labels can change before publication and during the month. |
Why December lists are especially easy to misread
Hulu’s current service experience increasingly appears alongside Disney+. Hulu’s landing page promotes Disney+/Hulu bundles and says that selected Hulu content can also be accessed through the Disney+ app. That does not make Hulu and Disney+ interchangeable services, however. They remain separately identified in subscription and app descriptions, and a title’s placement in one service’s holiday announcement does not automatically establish availability in the other.
Hulu’s current “newly added” experience also redirects into the Disney+ environment. That makes careful labeling particularly important. A title may be:
- available directly through Hulu;
- available through Hulu on Disney+ for eligible subscribers;
- a Disney+ title with next-day availability on Hulu;
- available on both Disney+ and Hulu; or
- available only on Disney+ despite appearing in a broader Disney holiday announcement.
These are materially different claims. A reliable December watchlist should preserve the exact platform wording instead of collapsing every Disney-related announcement into “coming to Hulu.”

What last year’s holiday announcement can—and cannot—tell us
Hulu has previously published an official holiday-season programming release with dates concentrated in late November and December. The 2025 release included CMA Country Christmas on December 3, Dancing with the Holidays on December 2 on Disney+ with next-day Hulu availability, and The Christmas Light Fight Season 13 beginning December 5 on both Disney+ and Hulu.
That 2025 release is useful as a model for how holiday programming may be presented. It is not evidence that any of those titles—or any other 2025 holiday title—will return in December 2026. It also demonstrates why a future list must identify the service for every entry. “On Disney+,” “on Hulu,” “on Disney+ with next-day Hulu availability,” and “on Disney+ and Hulu” are not interchangeable descriptions.
Where to check when the December schedule arrives
- Start with Hulu’s official press schedule. This is the primary source for dated premieres, additions, and other programming announcements.
- Check Hulu’s official content and newly added hubs. Because Hulu content can now be surfaced in the Disney+ environment, verify the service label shown for each title.
- Look for a dedicated holiday announcement. Hulu and its corporate content partners have previously used a separate seasonal release rather than relying only on a standard monthly list.
- Verify the date and platform at the title level. Do not assume that a general December announcement applies to every country, plan, app, or service.
- Recheck shortly before watching. Streaming dates can be amended, and catalog availability can differ from a press announcement.
How to evaluate a supposed December 2026 Hulu title
Use this checklist before adding anything to your watchlist:
- Is there an official source from Hulu, FX, Disney, ABC, or the distributor?
- Does that source explicitly say Hulu, Hulu on Disney+, or another precise Hulu availability term?
- Is there a specific December 2026 date, rather than only a general 2026 release window?
- Is the date a streaming premiere, or is it a theatrical, broadcast, physical-media, or international date?
- Does the announcement apply to the United States, or is it for another territory?
- Is the title a new arrival, a returning catalog item, or a title that was already available?
- Has a later official update changed the platform, date, or release format?
If the answer to the second or third question is no, the title should not be described as a confirmed December Hulu arrival. It can be placed in a separate “rumored,” “expected,” or “watch for updates” section only if the wording makes its unconfirmed status unmistakable—but this page is intentionally not turning predictions into confirmations.

What documentary viewers should expect from the eventual list
When Hulu publishes its December schedule, documentary viewers should look for several kinds of entries rather than assuming every nonfiction title will appear under a single category:
- Hulu Originals and documentary films: These may receive a specific Hulu streaming date.
- FX and ABC nonfiction programming: The announcement may identify Hulu as a next-day or catch-up destination rather than the primary premiere service.
- News, factual, and event specials: Holiday or year-end programs may be dated separately from the regular monthly arrivals.
- Library documentaries: These may appear in a catalog update without a major press release, so the live Hulu listing matters.
- Disney documentary programming: These must be checked individually. A Disney+ documentary is not automatically a Hulu documentary.
The eventual December page should therefore distinguish between a Hulu premiere, a next-day Hulu stream, a title available through Hulu on Disney+, and a title that remains exclusive to Disney+.
Subscription and gifting notes
Hulu offers standalone subscription options as well as Disney+/Hulu bundle options, but plan names, prices, eligibility, advertising terms, and bundle features are changeable. Confirm the current terms on Hulu’s official subscription page before choosing a plan, especially if you want access to both the Hulu and Disney+ catalogs.

A Disney+ and Hulu bundle may make sense for households that want to compare both services’ holiday programming, but the bundle does not erase the distinction between a Hulu title and a Disney+ title. Check the current plan details and the specific app or service where each program is available.

This watchlist should be refreshed when Hulu publishes its December 2026 schedule or a relevant holiday programming release. The update should add only titles with an official December date and an explicit Hulu availability statement. It should also remove or correct entries if Hulu changes a date, shifts a title to Disney+, limits it to a particular plan, or reports different availability by territory.
Until that update appears, the accurate answer is straightforward: Hulu’s December 2026 lineup is not official yet. The safest source to monitor is Hulu’s own press schedule, followed by Hulu’s official content hubs and clearly labeled holiday announcements from its content partners.
Frequently Asked Questions
When will Hulu announce its December 2026 lineup?
Hulu had not announced a full December 2026 schedule as of August 11, 2026. The service publishes monthly information progressively, so the December list may appear later through its official press schedule or a dedicated holiday release.

Are any December 2026 Hulu documentaries confirmed?
No complete, verified list of December 2026 documentary arrivals was available at the research date. Wait for an official source that names Hulu and provides a specific December date.
Is a Disney+ holiday title also available on Hulu?
Not automatically. Check whether the official announcement says the title is on Hulu, available through Hulu on Disney+, offered on Hulu the next day, or available on both services.
Can I use an old December Hulu list to plan for 2026?
No. Older lists can show Hulu’s general holiday announcement pattern, but their titles and dates are not evidence of December 2026 availability.
Does a Disney+/Hulu bundle include every title from both services in both apps?
No. Bundle access and app availability depend on the current plan terms, and individual titles may remain associated with one service. Check the live Hulu and Disney+ descriptions for the specific title you want.
The Bottom Line
As of August 11, 2026, Hulu’s December 2026 lineup is still unannounced. Do not rely on a purported full arrivals list until Hulu publishes dated entries that explicitly identify Hulu availability. For documentary viewers, the key distinction will be between direct Hulu releases, Hulu on Disney+ access, next-day Hulu availability, and Disney+ exclusives.
