Paul “Triple H” Levesque
Paul “Triple H” Levesque was the first announced member of the 2025 class. WWE’s career summary points to his 14 world-title reigns, two Royal Rumble victories and major WrestleMania matches, as well as his work in some of wrestling’s most influential factions.
Levesque co-founded D-Generation X and later became a central member of Evolution. Outside the ring, he helped create and develop NXT, which became an important part of WWE’s developmental and televised wrestling structure. He subsequently moved into WWE executive leadership as Chief Content Officer.
Shawn Michaels inducted Triple H at the ceremony. This was also a notable second Hall of Fame recognition for Levesque: he had previously entered the Hall of Fame as part of D-Generation X in 2019. The 2025 honor recognized him as an individual performer and major WWE figure.
Michelle McCool
Michelle McCool joined the class after a WWE career that included becoming the inaugural Divas Champion in 2008. In 2009, she unified that championship with the WWE Women’s Championship, an important part of the title’s history before WWE’s later women’s-division changes.

Lex Luger
Lex Luger, known by nicknames including “The Total Package” and “The All-American,” was recognized for a career spanning NWA, WCW and WWE.
Among the moments emphasized by WWE were his long United States Championship reigns, his 1993 body-slam challenge involving then-WWE Champion Yokozuna aboard the USS Intrepid, and his co-victory with Bret Hart in the 1994 Royal Rumble. Luger also achieved major championship success in WCW. Diamond Dallas Page inducted him.
The Natural Disasters: Earthquake and Typhoon
Earthquake and Typhoon entered the Hall of Fame together as The Natural Disasters. Earthquake was the ring name of John Tenta, while Typhoon was the ring name of Fred Ottman.
WWE presents the duo as one of the most physically imposing tag teams in wrestling history. Their inclusion is a team induction: Earthquake and Typhoon should not be listed as separate 2025 solo inductees. The accessible official recap does not identify an individual inductor, so a specific inductor should not be attributed without additional verification.
WWE Hall of Fame Legacy inductees
The Legacy wing is separate from the featured contemporary Class of 2025. WWE announced three Legacy inductees:

- Dory Funk Sr.: Funk was the patriarch of the famous Funk wrestling family. His life and career included amateur wrestling, military service as a World War II veteran, professional wrestling, promoting and leading Western States Sports in Amarillo, Texas.
- Ivan Koloff: Known as “The Russian Bear,” Koloff defeated Bruno Sammartino at Madison Square Garden on January 18, 1971. That victory ended Sammartino’s seven-year reign as WWE Champion, making it one of the most historically significant title changes in WWE history.
Legacy recognition is intended to acknowledge important figures from wrestling history whose contributions may predate the modern Hall of Fame presentation. For that reason, these three names belong in a distinct section rather than being folded into the main contemporary inductee list.
The 2025 WWE Immortal Moment award
Bret Hart and “Stone Cold” Steve Austin received the inaugural WWE Immortal Moment award for their no-disqualification submission match at WrestleMania 13.
The award honored the match itself—not a new 2025 solo Hall of Fame induction for Hart or Austin. WWE described the WrestleMania 13 bout as a defining moment in Austin’s transformation into an unlikely hero. The official recognition segment involved Pat McAfee.
The distinction matters because Hart and Austin already have extensive Hall of Fame histories. The 2025 presentation was a match-recognition category celebrating a landmark piece of WWE storytelling and performance history.

What made the 2025 class notable?
The 2025 class covered several different parts of WWE and broader wrestling history:
- Triple H represented an unusually broad performer-to-executive career, from DX and Evolution to NXT development and WWE’s modern creative leadership.
- Michelle McCool represented an important period in the evolution of WWE’s women’s championships and the Divas division.
- Lex Luger was honored for a cross-promotional career that included major success in NWA, WCW and WWE.
- The Natural Disasters represented the power-oriented tag-team wrestling that defined a memorable period of WWE’s tag division.
- The Legacy inductees connected the ceremony to earlier generations and to wrestling history beyond the modern WWE television era.
- The Immortal Moment award expanded the ceremony’s scope by honoring a specific match rather than another individual performer.
