What was the original 25% White Lotus hotel deal?
According to Travel + Leisure (2023), the hotel’s Discover Taormina promotion offered 20% off the bed-and-breakfast rate for reservations made at least 14 days in advance, while other advance-purchase rates offered 25% off. The article was published on February 17, 2023, so it supports the 25% claim as a dated historical offer rather than a standing discount.
The article also reported that The White Lotus creator Mike White and his entourage visited more than 30 hotels before selecting San Domenico Palace. White described the property this way: “The hotel itself had the luxury but also this kind of moodiness that was so unique.” The statement is attributed to Mike White, creator of The White Lotus, by Travel + Leisure in its 2023 report.

Can you stay at the real White Lotus hotel?
Yes. San Domenico Palace is a real operating Four Seasons hotel, and guests can book rooms or suites there when inventory is available. The property served as the principal hotel setting for Season 2, but the fictional resort and its story are not the same thing as the real hotel’s services, policies or availability.
Readers ready to compare dates can check San Domenico Palace rates through the hotel’s current booking and offers information. A discount should be treated as conditional until the final reservation screen confirms the eligible room, dates, rate rules, minimum stay and cancellation policy.

Where was The White Lotus Season 2 filmed in Sicily?
The White Lotus Season 2 was filmed across Sicily, with San Domenico Palace representing the principal fictional resort location. The season was not filmed exclusively inside the hotel. Official tourism material identifies Taormina, Noto and CefalĂą among the locations and also mentions Palermo, Catania and other Sicilian settings.
Italia.it’s Sicily filming-location guide places the hotel within a broader regional itinerary, while Sky’s Season 2 location guide provides additional location context.
| Trip style | Best focus | What it does not guarantee |
|---|---|---|
| Hotel-focused visit | Stay at or visit San Domenico Palace and explore Taormina. | It does not cover every Season 2 filming location. |
| Film-location itinerary | Add Noto, CefalĂą, Palermo and other identified Sicilian locations. | Locations are not necessarily walkable from the hotel or included with a hotel stay. |
| Luxury-experience extension | Consider a private half-day, full-day or sunset boat outing from the Taormina area. | The boat experience is an optional add-on, not part of the room discount. |
Transport planning matters. The available location guides establish the places associated with the season, but they do not establish that every stop is walkable from San Domenico Palace, included in a hotel package or operated by one tour provider. Four Seasons currently promotes private boat tours from Taormina in several formats; availability and booking conditions should be confirmed separately.

How should you plan a White Lotus Sicily trip?
- Choose the travel dates first. The current Discover Taormina terms cover selected dates from July 29, 2026, through December 31, 2027, rather than every date on the calendar.
- Compare the eligible rates. Check Discover Taormina against Advance Purchase and the hotel’s other current offers. Compare the total stay, breakfast inclusion, cancellation rules and payment conditions—not only the percentage.
- Check the minimum stay. Discover Taormina requires at least three nights and permits a maximum stay of 14 nights under the published terms.
- Build the Sicily route separately. Taormina can anchor the hotel visit, while Noto, CefalĂą, Palermo and other locations require their own transport and timing decisions.
- Confirm before paying. Recheck the final rate, room category, blackout dates, availability, taxes or fees shown during booking and the cancellation policy.
For readers who want to revisit the Sicilian season before planning travel, look for The White Lotus: The Complete Second Season DVD. The documented physical release is a two-disc Season 2 DVD; the catalog listing for the Season 2 DVD and the associated Amazon/Prime Video listing should be checked for current seller, price, stock, disc region and condition. This product lets viewers revisit the series; it provides no hotel-booking benefit.
What should travelers remember about the 25% headline?
The accurate takeaway is that the 25% San Domenico Palace discount was reported in 2023, while the current official Four Seasons pages checked on August 13, 2026, show a 15% Discover Taormina offer and advance-purchase savings of up to 20%. The hotel is genuinely associated with The White Lotus Season 2, but the old percentage should not be presented as an active universal deal.
