Here is what each title offered—and when it was available that weekend.
For the weekend of March 7–9, 2025, the best new streaming options ranged from the return of Daredevil and a final season of HBO’s dysfunctional televangelist comedy to a Formula 1 documentary, a psychological horror movie and a new dating rom-com. The list spans Disney+, Max, AMC+, Netflix and Prime Video—but “new” means different things here: some were premieres, one was a complete season drop, one was a newly added film and others were returning shows.
Availability below refers specifically to that historical weekend. Streaming catalogs, regional rights and subscription requirements may have changed since then.

Charlie Cox returns as Matt Murdock, the blind lawyer who fights crime as Daredevil, while Vincent D’Onofrio is back as Wilson Fisk, better known as Kingpin. Disney+ frames the conflict around Fisk’s position as mayor of New York City and Murdock’s attempt to resist Fisk’s corrupt empire.
This is not a wholly separate Marvel property: it is presented as part of the existing Daredevil continuity—a “reboot-quel” rather than a clean-slate franchise restart. The first two episodes were available on Disney+ during the March 7–9 weekend, making it the clearest choice for viewers looking for an immediate franchise return.

2. The Righteous Gemstones season 4 — Max
Best for: Fans of outrageous, tightly wound ensemble comedy—and anyone who wants to begin a show entering its conclusion.
HBO’s comedy about the wealthy, famous and spectacularly dysfunctional Gemstone televangelist family returned on Sunday, March 9, at 10 p.m. ET/PT on HBO and Max. Season four is the show’s final season and contains nine episodes, according to Warner Bros. Discovery’s series information.

The Gemstones’ combination of greed, charitable work, bad behavior and codependent family loyalty remains the engine of the comedy. The weekend guide specifically highlights Baby Billy’s attempt to launch a television show about a teenage Jesus; that is a synopsis detail from the guide, rather than a claim that every major plot development is independently confirmed here.
Because the season premiered late on Sunday, it was a particularly good pick for a Sunday-night appointment rather than a show whose full season was already available at the start of the weekend.

3. Dark Winds season 3 — AMC+
Best for: Viewers who prefer atmospheric investigations and character-driven crime drama to superhero spectacle.
Season three of AMC’s Dark Winds premiered on AMC and AMC+ on March 9, 2025. The returning drama follows investigators Joe Leaphorn, Jim Chee and Bernadette Manuelito, and the new case begins with two missing boys, an abandoned bicycle and a blood-stained patch of earth. Bernadette also encounters a smuggling conspiracy, according to the weekend guide’s synopsis.

The official AMC+ listing confirms the season-three premiere, but not that the entire season was available immediately. Expect a weekly-release-style starting point rather than assuming every episode could be watched on March 9.
4. With Love, Meghan — Netflix
Best for: Viewers looking for lifestyle television rather than a scripted series, competition or conventional documentary.
With Love, Meghan is built around cooking, gardening, hosting and practical entertaining advice, with conversations involving guests such as Roy Choi, Mindy Kaling and Alice Waters. Netflix’s Tudum announcement describes the format as a lifestyle series rather than a contest with winners and losers.
The show premiered on March 4, after its previously announced January release was postponed because of the Los Angeles wildfires. That timing meant all eight episodes were streaming on Netflix during the March 7–9 weekend. It is the most useful choice on this list for viewers who want something relaxed, domestic and easy to watch in short sessions.

5. Formula 1: Drive to Survive season 7 — Netflix
Best for: Formula 1 followers, sports-documentary fans and newcomers who want an accessible introduction to the personalities behind the races.
All 10 episodes of season seven arrived on Netflix on March 7, 2025. The season looks back at major stories from the 2024 Formula 1 season, including Lewis Hamilton’s move from Mercedes to Ferrari, Mercedes’ search for his replacement, Carlos Sainz’s future and McLaren’s championship challenge.
Netflix promotes the series’ behind-the-scenes access to the paddock, which is the main attraction for viewers who want team politics, driver pressure and negotiations alongside the on-track competition. However, access does not make the series a complete or necessarily unbiased account of the season. It is best understood as a dramatic, selected narrative built from the sport’s major personalities and conflicts—not a substitute for watching the races or consulting a full season record.
Netflix Tudum’s season-seven guide provides the release and story details.
6. Picture This — Prime Video
Best for: A lighter movie night, especially if you want a dating-focused romantic comedy.
Simone Ashley plays Pia, a London photographer whose life is thrown off balance when a spiritual guru predicts that she will find love and career success within her next five dates. The setup gives the film a built-in countdown, while family pressure and the return of Pia’s former love interest, Charlie—played by Hero Fiennes Tiffin—complicate the prediction.

- Up to 4K HDR with Dolby Vision delivers captivating, true-to-life detail[4]; and you can connect speakers that support Dolby Atmos for more immersive 3D sound
That makes Picture This the most straightforwardly breezy option among the seven: a rom-com about romantic choices, an ex and the pressure to make a forecast come true. The matching weekend guide listed it as streaming on Prime Video during March 7–9. A primary Prime Video press page was not available in the supplied research, so the platform and weekend-availability claim should not be extended beyond that source or treated as a guarantee of current availability.
See the source’s listing for Picture This.
7. Heretic — Max
Best for: Horror viewers who enjoy tense conversations, ideological conflict and psychological pressure.
In A24’s psychological horror film, Hugh Grant plays Mr. Reed, a man whose seemingly friendly conversation with two young missionaries becomes a dangerous test of faith. Sophie Thatcher and Chloe East play the missionaries.
The casting is part of the hook: Grant’s familiar romantic-comedy image makes his threatening turn especially striking, but the film should be approached as psychological horror rather than a conventional thriller or a true-story drama. Warner Bros. Discovery’s March Max announcement lists Heretic, an A24 title, as arriving on March 7, 2025.
Watching several services on one TV
This weekend’s lineup is spread across five services, so the practical issue may be app access rather than deciding what to watch. If your television does not support one or more of the required apps, an Amazon Fire TV Stick 4K Max is one option to investigate: Amazon documents access to major entertainment apps including Netflix, Disney+, Prime Video and Max, along with plug-in setup and 4K streaming capability.
That does not mean every app, title or feature is available in every country, and you still need the relevant subscriptions or accounts. Device support and service catalogs can also change. Treat it as a way to add supported streaming apps to a compatible television, not as a guarantee that all seven selections will be available through one subscription.
What should you stream first?
Start with Daredevil: Born Again if the return of Charlie Cox and Vincent D’Onofrio is the main event. Choose The Righteous Gemstones if you want a major returning comedy and are ready for its final season. Dark Winds is the strongest fit for a serious mystery, while Drive to Survive offers the biggest complete binge for sports viewers.
