How to watch the first episode of Win or Lose on YouTube
- Open YouTube and search for Win or Lose | Disney+ Original Series | S1E1: Coach’s Kid.
- Confirm that the upload is from Pixar’s official YouTube channel, rather than a fan upload, clip compilation, trailer, or reaction video.
- Choose the approximately 20-minute video titled “Coach’s Kid.”
The video’s availability may differ by country, account settings, age restrictions, or later platform changes. If the full episode does not appear in search, check Pixar’s official channel directly and search the exact episode title. A result labeled “trailer,” “preview,” or “clip” is not the complete first episode.
Is all of Win or Lose free on YouTube?
No. The available official information supports the first full episode on YouTube—not a free YouTube release of the entire season. Pixar lists Win or Lose as streaming “Only on Disney+,” making Disney+ the official destination for the complete eight-episode series.
That distinction matters because search results may mix the full first episode with trailers, short scenes, interviews, and promotional videos. Finding one complete episode on Pixar’s channel does not mean that episodes two through eight are also legally available there.
What happens in “Coach’s Kid”?
The episode follows Laurie, a 12-year-old right fielder on the Pickles, a co-ed middle-school softball team. Her father is also the team’s coach, so Laurie is dealing with two pressures at once: performing in an important game and trying to make her father proud.

Laurie’s anxiety takes a literal, highly visual form. She sees an amorphous creature called Sweaty, a manifestation of her insecurity that grows as the championship approaches. The episode uses that imaginative element to show the difference between what other people see and what Laurie is experiencing internally.
The story is a useful introduction to the series’ larger idea: a team’s championship week can look completely different depending on whose perspective the viewer is following. The softball game is not just an athletic event; it is also a source of pressure, hope, embarrassment, family expectations, and self-doubt.
What is Pixar’s Win or Lose about?
Win or Lose follows the Pickles during the week leading up to their championship game. Each episode shifts the point of view to a different person connected with the team, including players, parents, and an umpire.
Because the perspective changes, the same broader situation can carry a very different emotional meaning from one episode to the next. Pixar also gives the characters’ subjective experiences distinct visual styles. Ordinary reality and each character’s imaginative or emotional perspective are deliberately separated through cinematography, effects, and other visual choices.

What to do if the episode is unavailable
- Check the channel: make sure the upload is on Pixar’s official YouTube channel.
- Search the full title: use Win or Lose Disney+ Original Series S1E1 Coach’s Kid rather than searching only for “Win or Lose episode 1.”
- Look for a full runtime: the complete episode is approximately 20 minutes; short results are likely clips or previews.
- Check your territory: YouTube rights can vary by country, and an official upload may not be playable everywhere.
- Use Disney+ for the series: if you want the complete season—or if the YouTube episode is blocked in your region—check Disney+ for current availability.
Availability can change after publication. Pixar’s program page has described the series as a 2025 release and has listed all episodes as available only on Disney+, while the official YouTube episode remains identifiable. The safest current expectation is therefore that the first episode may be free on YouTube, but the complete series belongs on Disney+.
Can you buy Win or Lose merchandise?
Series-themed shirts and hoodies can be found through marketplace searches, but availability, seller quality, and licensing status vary. No specific, stable Amazon listing or verified Disney/Pixar Amazon storefront for this series has been established here.
