But they did not all support Harris in the same way. Swift issued a formal endorsement without attending a rally; Beyoncé authorized Freedom and later spoke at a Houston event without performing; Springsteen endorsed Harris and performed; and many others joined rallies, convention programs, fundraising events, livestreams, or voter-registration efforts. The distinctions below separate documented appearances from online support, song permissions, and announced—not necessarily confirmed—participation.
How to read this list
These supporters did not all show up in the same way. Some formally endorsed Kamala Harris and Tim Walz. Some spoke at a Harris-Walz event, performed at a rally, joined a campaign livestream, appeared at the Democratic National Convention, or authorized the use of a song. Others expressed support online without making an in-person campaign appearance.
- Formal endorsement: a public statement explicitly backing Harris and Walz.
- Campaign appearance: an artist or public figure spoke, hosted, or appeared at a Harris-Walz event.
- Performance: a musician or group played at a rally, convention event, or get-out-the-vote program.
- Creative permission: an artist allowed the campaign to use a song, which is not automatically the same as appearing or endorsing.
The campaign period covered here begins with Joe Biden’s withdrawal from the 2024 race and endorsement of Harris on July 21, 2024, and ends on Election Day, November 5. It is a list of publicly documented, materially relevant supporters—not a claim that every entertainer who privately favored Harris has been identified.

July 2024: the campaign’s first major rally performances
Megan Thee Stallion and Quavo—Atlanta, July 30
Megan Thee Stallion performed at Harris’s July 30 rally in Atlanta, singing songs including Body and directly encouraging the crowd to support Harris. It was one of the campaign’s earliest major entertainment appearances and helped establish the concert-rally format that would return throughout the fall.
Quavo also appeared at a Harris campaign event in Atlanta that month. His remarks focused on gun-violence prevention and civic participation, making his role closer to that of a speaker and political participant than a conventional concert performer.
August: Bon Iver and the Democratic convention
Bon Iver and Justin Vernon—Eau Claire, August 7
Bon Iver, led by Justin Vernon, performed at a Harris-Walz event in Eau Claire, Wisconsin, on August 7. Vernon performed an acoustic version of The Battle Cry of Freedom, connecting the campaign event to a well-known American political song rather than presenting only a standard concert set.
Musicians and performers at the Democratic National Convention
The 2024 Democratic National Convention brought another large group of performers and entertainers into the campaign’s orbit. Documented participants included Jason Isbell, Pink, Willow Sage Hart, Patti LaBelle, Sheila E., Stevie Wonder, and Lil Jon.
Their roles were not identical. Several performed during convention programming, while Lil Jon helped introduce Georgia’s roll-call votes with a musical performance. Appearing at a Democratic convention is evidence of participation in a Democratic political event, but it should not automatically be rewritten as a separate formal endorsement of Harris.
September: endorsements, fundraising, and video support
Taylor Swift’s formal endorsement
Taylor Swift formally endorsed Harris and Walz on Instagram on September 10, after the presidential debate. She urged her followers to register and vote and signed the post Childless Cat Lady. Swift’s endorsement was one of the most influential celebrity interventions of the campaign, but she did not appear at a Harris rally.
Alanis Morissette and Halle Bailey—Los Angeles
Alanis Morissette and Halle Bailey performed or participated in a September Los Angeles fundraising event connected to Harris. This was a campaign-linked fundraising appearance rather than one of the large battleground-state rallies.

Billie Eilish and Finneas
Billie Eilish and Finneas jointly endorsed Harris-Walz in a National Voter Registration Day video. Their support was delivered through a voter-mobilization video, not a documented Harris rally performance.
October battleground events
October brought the campaign’s most visible concentration of celebrity appearances. The events were often designed around a particular state, community, or voting bloc, so the setting mattered as much as the performer.

Magic Johnson—Flint, Michigan, October 4
Magic Johnson appeared with Harris at a Flint event on October 4 and delivered remarks aimed in part at Black male voters. He is included here as a prominent cultural and sports figure, not as a recording artist.
Lizzo—Detroit, October 19
Lizzo appeared at Harris’s Detroit rally on October 19. She told the crowd that it was about damn time for a woman president. The documented evidence supports describing this as a rally appearance and supportive remarks; it does not require labeling it a separate formal endorsement.

Usher appeared at the campaign’s October 19 Atlanta event, spoke in support of Harris, and encouraged Georgians to vote. His appearance fit the campaign’s effort to use prominent hometown artists and familiar cultural figures in battleground states.
Bruce Springsteen—Atlanta area, October 24
Bruce Springsteen formally endorsed Harris and Walz in October and performed at a Harris rally in the Atlanta area on October 24. He also explained his support in political terms, citing respect for the Constitution, the rule of law, and democratic institutions.
Willie Nelson and Beyoncé—Houston, October 25
Willie Nelson performed a short set at the October 25 Houston rally, where he was presented as a Texas supporter. Beyoncé then appeared with Harris at the reproductive-rights-focused event.
Beyoncé did not perform a concert set in Houston. Her role was nevertheless unusually important: she spoke in support of Harris and had already given the campaign permission to use her song Freedom. That authorization made the song part of Harris’s public campaign identity, but permission to use a song should be kept distinct from an artist’s in-person performance.

Maggie Rogers performed a five-song set at Harris’s Ann Arbor event on October 28.
Madison youth-voter rally, October 30
The October 30 Madison rally was explicitly designed to mobilize younger voters. Its reported lineup included Gracie Abrams, Mumford & Sons, Remi Wolf, Matt Berninger, and Aaron Dessner. Berninger and Dessner participated as members of The National. Abrams and Wolf also addressed the crowd, so this was a mix of performance and direct political engagement rather than a simple concert.
Phoenix and Las Vegas, October 31
Los Tigres del Norte performed at Harris’s October 31 rally in Phoenix. The campaign also scheduled Jennifer Lopez and Maná for a Las Vegas event aimed at Latino voters. Because the underlying reporting does not establish exactly what each scheduled participant ultimately did onstage, those appearances should be described as scheduled participation rather than confirmed performances for both artists.

Cardi B—Wisconsin, November 1
Cardi B joined Harris at a Wisconsin rally on November 1 and spoke in support of the Democratic ticket. She later said publicly that she had not been paid for her endorsement. That statement is relevant to her own involvement; it should not be generalized into a claim about the compensation or expenses associated with every celebrity appearance.

Jon Bon Jovi and The War and Treaty
Jon Bon Jovi performed at the Harris-Walz rally in Charlotte on November 2 and also participated in the campaign’s election-eve programming. The War and Treaty performed at the Detroit election-eve event hosted by Tim and Gwen Walz.
Election eve: the Vote for Freedom performances on November 4
On November 4, the campaign organized a coordinated, multi-city get-out-the-vote effort under the Vote for Freedom banner. It combined rallies, concerts, speeches, and a national livestream. The reported performers and participants included the following:
| City | Documented performers or participants |
|---|---|
| Atlanta | 2 Chainz, Anthony Hamilton, Ciara, and Jesse & Joy |
| Raleigh | Fantasia Barrino, James Taylor, Remi Wolf, and Sugarland |
| Las Vegas | Christina Aguilera, Los Tigres del Norte, and Sofi Tukker; Eva Longoria also participated in the programming |
| Phoenix | La Original Banda El Limón |
| Milwaukee | Eric Benét, at an event hosted by Tim and Gwen Walz |
| Detroit | Detroit Youth Choir, Jon Bon Jovi, and The War and Treaty |
| Pittsburgh | Katy Perry, Andra Day, and D-Nice |
| Philadelphia | Lady Gaga, with The Roots and Jazmine Sullivan announced for the broader concert-and-rally program |
The best-documented final-rally appearances
Lady Gaga appeared and performed at Harris’s final Philadelphia rally. She sang God Bless America and The Edge of Glory and spoke about the importance of the election.
Katy Perry and Andra Day performed at the Pittsburgh rally. Day performed songs including Rise Up, while Perry was part of the campaign’s final-day concert programming. D-Nice was also part of the Pittsburgh event.

The event reports establish a broad election-eve lineup, but not every announced act should be described as having delivered the same kind of performance. This distinction matters particularly for The Roots and Jazmine Sullivan in Philadelphia and for artists listed in advance of the Las Vegas program.
Broadway, theater, film, and television supporters
The campaign’s entertainment outreach extended beyond recording artists. Broadway Rallies for Kamala and related livestreamed events brought together actors, singers, directors, writers, and other theater professionals.
Publicly reported stage and entertainment participants included Anne Hathaway, Kelli O’Hara, Kristin Chenoweth, Audra McDonald, Whoopi Goldberg, Ana Gasteyer, Billy Porter, Wilson Cruz, Arielle Jacobs, Erika Henningsen, and Isabelle McCalla. Because this group included different kinds of theater professionals, it is more accurate to call them stage and entertainment figures than to describe every participant as a recording artist or performer at a campaign rally.
The broader entertainment-support list also included Kerry Washington, Tony Goldwyn, Julia Roberts, Jennifer Aniston, Harrison Ford, Jennifer Lawrence, Robert De Niro, Viola Davis, Julia Louis-Dreyfus, Mindy Kaling, Oprah Winfrey, Eva Longoria, and Martha Stewart, among others.
Their involvement varied. Some formally endorsed Harris, some spoke at campaign events, and others hosted or joined livestreams and voter-mobilization programs. The most accurate verbs are therefore specific ones—endorsed, spoke, hosted, appeared, or participated—rather than treating the entire group as though it performed onstage.

Public support connected to Puerto Rico and Latino voters
Jennifer Lopez, Bad Bunny, and Ricky Martin publicly supported Harris after offensive remarks about Puerto Rico were made at a Trump rally. Their support belongs in the public-political-support category. The available documentation does not establish that all three appeared together at a Harris campaign rally.
Jennifer Lopez was also scheduled for the October 31 Las Vegas event aimed at Latino voters, along with Maná. Those are separate facts: a public expression of support does not, by itself, prove a particular rally appearance, and a scheduled event appearance should not automatically be reported as a completed performance.
Musicians who supported Harris without a documented Harris rally performance
A number of high-profile musicians publicly backed Harris through statements, videos, or social-media posts, but were not documented in the supplied reporting as performing at a Harris rally. That does not make their support insignificant; it simply describes a different form of participation.
Reported supporters in this category included John Legend, Kesha, Olivia Rodrigo, Stevie Nicks, Cher, Madonna, Rihanna, Don Omar, Marc Anthony, Nicky Jam, Demi Lovato, Margo Price, and Brittney Spencer, among others. Usher belongs in both discussions because he had a documented Atlanta campaign appearance as well as broader public support.
Eminem is a useful borderline example. He appeared at a Detroit rally for Harris and introduced Barack Obama, but the documented role was an introduction rather than a Harris campaign concert performance.
Charli XCX
After Harris became the presumptive Democratic nominee, Charli XCX posted kamala IS brat. It was a major cultural signal and a public expression of support, but it was shorter and less formal than Swift’s endorsement or the joint Eilish-Finneas video. It should not be presented as an equivalent conventional campaign endorsement.
Chappell Roan
Chappell Roan became associated with Harris-related voter conversations, but she publicly resisted being treated as a straightforward partisan surrogate. Unless stronger documentation establishes a specific endorsement, it is not accurate to list her as a confirmed Harris endorser merely because fans or media connected her music and political comments to the campaign.
Song permissions are not the same as endorsements
Beyoncé’s authorization for the campaign to use Freedom is the clearest example of a song becoming part of the Harris campaign’s public identity. It should still be labeled accurately as permission to use creative work, alongside Beyoncé’s later Houston appearance and remarks.
The Foo Fighters provide a different example. The band publicly objected to Donald Trump’s use of My Hero, and reporting said any resulting royalties would be donated to the Harris campaign. That is indirect support in a rights-and-licensing context—not evidence that the Foo Fighters performed at a Harris rally or issued a conventional Harris endorsement.

More generally, a song on a campaign playlist, music played at an event, or a rights dispute can show a connection to the campaign without proving that the artist personally appeared, approved the candidate, or was involved in the campaign’s programming.
Were the celebrities paid?
There is no evidence in the cited fact-checking coverage that the Harris campaign paid celebrities for endorsements. Cardi B specifically said she was not paid for her endorsement. Neither point establishes the compensation status of every artist, appearance, production cost, travel arrangement, or event contractor, so a blanket claim that all performers volunteered without compensation would go beyond the evidence.
What this campaign strategy reveals
Harris’s entertainment outreach operated on several levels. Major artists such as Megan Thee Stallion, Springsteen, Beyoncé, Lady Gaga, Katy Perry, and Andra Day created high-visibility moments. Regional and culturally specific appearances—Willie Nelson in Houston, Los Tigres del Norte in Phoenix and Las Vegas programming, Usher in Atlanta, and the Wisconsin and Michigan events—helped tailor the campaign to particular audiences. The Madison event and the November 4 multi-city program used music as a direct voter-mobilization tool.
At the same time, the campaign’s celebrity network was much larger than its rally stages. Formal endorsements, voter-registration videos, convention performances, livestreams, speeches, song permissions, and opposition to an opponent’s music use all carried different evidentiary weight. Keeping those categories separate is the most reliable way to answer who actually showed up for Harris—and what each person did.
Frequently Asked Questions
Did Taylor Swift appear at a Kamala Harris rally?
No. Swift formally endorsed Kamala Harris and Tim Walz on Instagram on September 10, 2024, urged followers to register and vote, and signed the post Childless Cat Lady. She did not appear at a Harris rally.
Did Beyoncé perform at Harris’s Houston rally?
No. Beyoncé appeared with Harris at the October 25 Houston rally and spoke in support of her, but she did not perform a concert set there. Beyoncé had also authorized the campaign to use Freedom as a campaign song.

Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minuteDriver Scan →Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problemsFix Now →Were the artists paid to support Harris?
Fact-checking coverage found no evidence that the Harris campaign paid celebrities for endorsements, and Cardi B said she was not paid for her endorsement. That does not prove that every appearance had identical expenses or compensation arrangements.
Was Chappell Roan a confirmed Kamala Harris endorser?
Not on the evidence documented here. Charli XCX’s post—kamala IS brat—was a public expression of support, while Roan resisted being treated as a straightforward partisan surrogate. Roan should not be called a confirmed Harris endorser without stronger documentation.
The Bottom Line
The clearest in-person supporters were the artists who performed or spoke at campaign events, including Megan Thee Stallion, Bruce Springsteen, Beyoncé, Willie Nelson, Lizzo, Usher, Cardi B, Lady Gaga, Katy Perry, Andra Day, Jon Bon Jovi, and the many performers in the November 4 Vote for Freedom program. Taylor Swift’s formal endorsement, Beyoncé’s song authorization, online statements from other musicians, and convention or livestream participation were important forms of support, but they should not be mislabeled as identical rally appearances.
