Cassie Ventura’s parents are Regina Ventura and Rodrick Ventura. They raised her in Connecticut and have largely stayed out of the public eye. Cassie has described them as loving, involved parents and her strongest support system. Regina later became publicly relevant when she testified during Sean “Diddy” Combs’s 2025 federal trial, while Rodrick appeared with the family around the court proceedings.

Who are Cassie Ventura’s parents?

Cassie Ventura’s parents are Regina Ventura and Rodrick Ventura, sometimes referred to as Rod. The couple raised Cassie in Connecticut and have generally maintained a private life outside their daughter’s career. Cassie has described them as loving, supportive parents and, at one point, as her “greatest support system.”

Regina became more widely known in 2025 after testifying during the federal criminal trial of Sean “Diddy” Combs, Cassie’s former partner. Rodrick was also seen supporting the family around the proceedings, but there is no indication in the supplied reporting that he testified or made the allegations discussed in court.

Cassie’s Connecticut upbringing

Cassie has said that she grew up in Connecticut and remembered her childhood as carefree. In a 2008 interview with BlackFilm, she said that both of her parents were military children: her mother was an Army child and her father was a Navy child. She also said that her parents were still together at the time of the interview.

Her childhood interests included karate, ballet, piano and singing. Those details suggest a home in which she was able to explore several creative and extracurricular activities rather than being directed toward one specific career from an early age. Later reporting has also described her parents as supportive of her interests in music, dance and modeling, although the available public record does not provide a complete account of how they supported each stage of her career.

Regina Ventura’s background

Cassie described her mother’s heritage in the 2008 interview as Mexican, Black and West Indian. That is Cassie’s own description and is the clearest source available for this aspect of Regina’s background. It should not be expanded into a more detailed genealogy without additional reliable documentation.

Some later reports have identified Regina as a former administrative assistant at Pfizer who eventually retired. Because that employment detail is reported secondhand in the available coverage, it is best described cautiously rather than treated as a fully documented biography.

Regina’s public profile changed significantly during the Combs case. According to NPR’s report on her testimony, she told the court about matters she said she learned or observed during Cassie’s relationship with Combs. Coverage included testimony concerning alleged threats, financial pressure and injuries.

Those points must be understood as courtroom testimony and allegations presented during the trial, not as a complete independent account of every event or as facts established solely by media reports. Regina’s role in the proceedings was that of a witness and parent describing what she said she knew about her daughter’s experience.

Rodrick Ventura’s background

Public information about Rodrick is considerably more limited. Cassie described him as Filipino and as a Navy child in the same 2008 interview. The available reliable sources do not establish his age, education, detailed employment history or current occupation.

Some references use “Roderick” or “Rod,” but Rodrick Ventura is the principal form used here. The variation in spelling is not a reason to attach unverified biographical details to him.

Cassie’s relationship with her parents

Cassie has repeatedly portrayed Regina and Rodrick as a stable and important presence in her life. In a 2018 social-media tribute about her father, reported by People via Yahoo News Canada, she described her parents as an example of unconditional love and as her greatest support system. The same coverage reported that her parents helped keep her focused and that she spoke with them frequently.

These public comments provide a more reliable picture of the family relationship than the many low-authority biography pages that circulate specific claims about the Venturas. Cassie’s own descriptions support the portrayal of Regina and Rodrick as involved, encouraging parents, but they do not amount to a comprehensive biography of either one.

Regina and Rodrick during the Sean Combs trial

Regina and Rodrick were photographed arriving at or leaving Manhattan federal court during Sean Combs’s 2025 trial. Getty Images’ archive identifies them as Cassie’s parents in photographs connected with the proceedings.

Their appearances were consistent with public family support around a high-profile trial. However, a photograph of them at court does not establish what either parent knew, witnessed or believed. In particular, Rodrick’s presence should not be interpreted as evidence that he gave testimony or made the claims attributed to Regina.

Regina’s testimony took place before the later outcome of the federal case. In July 2025, the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Southern District of New York said Combs was convicted on two transportation-for-prostitution counts. The Department of Justice later listed a 50-month sentence imposed in October 2025. Those legal developments provide context for the trial but do not turn every allegation or piece of testimony into an adjudicated finding. The official case update is available from the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Southern District of New York.

Regina and Rodrick as grandparents

Cassie and Alex Fine’s children made Regina and Rodrick grandparents. Their first child, Frankie Stone, was born on December 6, 2019, and their second child, Sunny Cinco, was born on March 22, 2021, according to the People report reproduced by Yahoo News Canada.

Cassie has also publicly referred to her father as “Papa.” Beyond those family milestones, little reliable information about the grandparents’ private relationship with the children has been published, and there is no need to speculate about their day-to-day family life.

What is not publicly confirmed about Cassie’s parents?

Regina and Rodrick Ventura are not public figures with extensively documented independent careers. Reliable public sources located for this profile do not confirm:

  • their exact birth dates or ages;
  • their wedding date or a complete relationship history;
  • their education;
  • Rodrick’s occupation or detailed work history;
  • their current residence;
  • a complete genealogy beyond the heritage descriptions Cassie gave in 2008; or
  • private contact details or other information about their personal lives.

Specific claims on low-quality biography and genealogy websites should therefore be treated skeptically unless they are supported by a primary record or authoritative reporting. The strongest public account is narrower: Regina and Rodrick raised Cassie in Connecticut, supported her interests, remained important to her as an adult, and appeared publicly in connection with the 2025 Combs proceedings.

Bottom line

Regina and Rodrick Ventura are Cassie Ventura’s private Connecticut-based parents. Cassie has described her mother as Mexican, Black and West Indian and her father as Filipino, while also recalling a childhood filled with activities such as dance, music and karate. She has portrayed both parents as a dependable source of love and support.

Regina’s testimony during the Sean Combs trial brought her into the public spotlight, while Rodrick appeared with the family around the court proceedings. Beyond those documented details, the Venturas’ ages, careers and private lives remain largely unconfirmed—and should not be filled in with speculation.
