Adria Biles is Simone Biles’ younger sister, a former competitive gymnast, and the television contestant who appeared as “Louise” on the first season of Claim to Fame. She trained alongside Simone while growing up, but she did not follow Simone’s Olympic career. Here is what reliable reporting establishes about Adria’s family, gymnastics background, television appearance, and current work claims.
Who is Adria Biles?
Adria Biles is Simone Biles’ younger sister, a former competitive gymnast, television personality, and one of Simone’s most visible family supporters. The sisters trained together while growing up, but Adria did not follow Simone’s path to the senior international circuit, NCAA gymnastics, or the Olympic Games.
Adria became more widely known outside gymnastics when she appeared on the first season of ABC’s celebrity-relative reality competition Claim to Fame. She competed under the alias “Louise,” forcing the other contestants to work out which famous person she was related to. Her identity was revealed in the show’s eighth episode.
Adria and Simone Biles’ family background
Adria and Simone were adopted by their maternal grandfather, Ron Biles, and his wife, Nellie Biles, when they were young children. The Washington Post reported that Simone was five and Adria was three when the couple adopted them after the girls had spent time in foster care. Nellie Biles later discussed the adoption in an ESPN interview.

The sisters grew up together in the Biles household in Texas. Other older siblings were raised separately after different adoption arrangements, so descriptions of the wider family can become confusing when entertainment coverage reduces the family history to a simple list of brothers and sisters. The most relevant point for Adria’s story is that she and Simone shared the same home and childhood.
Readers interested in Simone’s own account of her upbringing and gymnastics career may also want to read Courage to Soar by Simone Biles, her official autobiography. It is not Adria’s memoir, but it provides additional first-person context about Simone’s family, childhood, and rise in gymnastics.
Was Adria Biles a gymnast?
Yes. Adria trained in gymnastics from childhood and practiced alongside Simone. In a 2016 first-person essay for ESPN, Adria described the sisters working on skills together and recalled Simone’s fearless attitude toward difficult moves. Adria wrote about Simone as someone she admired, while also making clear that they were siblings sharing a demanding sport—not identical athletes with identical careers.
Secondary reports published around the 2024 Paris Olympics described Adria as beginning gymnastics at age nine, reaching the Level 9 or junior-elite stage, and retiring from competition in 2016. Those details are useful context, but they should be understood as reported background rather than as a confirmed federation résumé.
There is no reliable basis for calling Adria an Olympic gymnast, a professional gymnast, an NCAA gymnast, or a senior international competitor. The available evidence supports describing her as a former competitive gymnast who trained with Simone before ending her own competitive career.

Adria Biles on Claim to Fame
Adria appeared on season one of ABC’s Claim to Fame, a reality competition in which relatives of celebrities live together, compete for a cash prize, and conceal the identity of their famous family member. Contestants exchange clues and make guesses, while each celebrity relative uses an alias.
Adria entered the show as “Louise.” Her resemblance to Simone and the clues connected to her famous sister made her identity a tempting target, but the format required the other contestants to prove their guesses. Multiple reports identified Louise as Adria Biles and Simone Biles’ sister. She was eliminated in Week 8, with her identity revealed in the season’s eighth episode.
For viewers who want to see Adria’s television appearance, Claim to Fame season one is listed by Hulu in the United States. Streaming rights, pricing, and availability can change, and the listing should be checked for the reader’s territory before watching.

Adria also defended Simone publicly after Simone withdrew from several events at the Tokyo Olympics in 2021. Simone said she was protecting her mental health and dealing with the “twisties,” a dangerous loss of air awareness during gymnastics skills. Contemporary coverage quoted Adria criticizing people who claimed to support mental health but reacted insensitively when Simone stepped away from competition.
That episode is one of the clearest examples of Adria’s public role: she is not Simone’s coach or spokesperson, but she has acted as a family advocate when Simone faced intense public scrutiny.
Adria was also reported to have been one of Simone’s bridesmaids at Simone’s 2023 wedding. During the 2024 Paris Olympics, reports and Olympic coverage described Adria as being in the stands with Simone’s family and cheering for her. Adria also shared an emotional social-media tribute after one of Simone’s Paris performances, although any direct quotation from that post should be checked against the original account before publication.
What does Adria Biles do now?
Adria’s current occupation is not firmly documented by an official employer, professional profile, or licensing record.

In a 2020 post attributed to Adria on X, she said she was enrolled in a dental-assisting program and hoped to pursue dental hygiene. That supports wording such as “Adria said in 2020 that she was studying dental assisting and wanted to become a dental hygienist.” It does not establish that she completed the program, obtained a dental-hygiene license, or currently works in that field.
Some later entertainment articles have described her as working in dental hygiene, but that claim was not independently verified in the available research. Her current job should therefore be treated as unconfirmed.
Adria was also reported to have joined the Houston Astros’ Coca-Cola Shooting Stars, an in-game dance and ambassador team. The Astros’ official materials confirm the team’s role, but they do not by themselves verify Adria’s historical membership. The careful description is that she was reported to have danced for the Astros’ Shooting Stars.

At the same time, the available record does not justify filling in the gaps with guesses. Adria should not be presented as an Olympic athlete or as a currently licensed dental hygienist without stronger documentation. The most accurate summary is that she is Simone Biles’ younger sister, a former gymnast who trained alongside Simone, a former reality-television contestant, and a prominent family supporter.
