Their connection came through an unlikely route: Craigslist. Raúl later posted a “Missed Connections” notice referring to seeing someone outside a Berkeley Walgreens. Colman came across the post while browsing Craigslist for a used device and realized that Raúl was describing him.
That discovery led to their first date at a bar in San Francisco. The Walgreens-to-Craigslist story has since been repeated in profiles of the couple, but the most detailed version comes from Colman and Raúl themselves. It is best understood as their reported account of how the relationship began, rather than as an independently reconstructed timeline.
When did Colman Domingo and Raúl get married?
Colman Domingo and Raúl Domingo married in 2014, nine years after they met. Their wedding was designed to look like a house party rather than a formal ceremony.
About 25 guests reportedly arrived without being told that they were attending a wedding. According to the couple’s GQ account, guests were informed after they arrived, while Colman wore a Hawaiian shirt. The celebration continued into the early morning.
Before the wedding, the couple spent part of their early relationship in Juneau, Alaska. Colman had acting work there, and Raúl accepted a job as an assistant costume designer on the production. That arrangement allowed them to remain together rather than begin their relationship with a long-distance separation.
They later moved to New York in November 2005, and Raúl proposed after the move. Public profiles available through the latest researched coverage continue to describe them as married and living together. Vogue’s 2025 profile placed the couple in Malibu, and a June 2026 Philadelphia Magazine interview likewise described Colman as living in Malibu with his family.

Edith Productions is the production company Raúl co-founded with Colman Domingo. The company gives the couple a shared platform for developing and producing film, television, and digital projects.
Raúl’s role is not simply an extension of Colman’s acting career. It’s What’s Inside
Raúl was one of the producers of It’s What’s Inside, a 2024 science-fiction thriller written and directed by Greg Jardin. The film centers on a group of friends whose gathering takes a dangerous turn after the arrival of a mysterious device capable of swapping their bodies.
Netflix’s official Tudum coverage lists Raúl as a producer and Colman as an executive producer. That makes the film a clear example of their professional collaboration, while also distinguishing their credits: Raúl did not direct or star in the movie. Viewers looking for one of Raúl’s documented producing projects can watch It’s What’s Inside on Netflix, subject to availability in their country.
Bottomless Brunch at Colman’s
Raúl produced four seasons of Bottomless Brunch at Colman’s, the digital series associated with Colman Domingo. The project reflects the couple’s work across unscripted and digital media as well as scripted film.
You Are Here
He also produced AMC’s You Are Here. Together with the company’s other credits, the series demonstrates the range of Raúl’s work as a producer rather than limiting his career to projects in which Colman appears on screen.

Raúl is best known publicly as a producer and creative executive, not as an actor. His documented work includes filmmaking, production, business development, fashion, and theater, but available profiles do not present him as having the same on-screen career as Colman.
The distinction matters because Raúl’s name often appears alongside Colman’s in connection with Edith Productions. Being a producing partner does not mean he is the lead performer or director of each project.

What are Raúl Domingo’s interests outside producing?
Raúl is an accomplished oil painter, according to profiles by Town & Country and Edith Productions’ official biography. Painting is one of the clearest publicly documented parts of his life outside the entertainment business.
He is also a pilot who flies a Cessna. That aviation hobby is another detail confirmed in the company biography and reported in coverage of the couple.
These interests contribute to a public portrait of Raúl as a multidisciplinary creative person, but they should not be used to fill in details that have not been reliably reported. His exact age, birth date, education history beyond the documented Austin School of Film program, family background, and net worth are not established by the strongest available sources.
Do Colman Domingo and Raúl Domingo have children?
Reliable reporting used for this profile does not establish whether Colman and Raúl have children. Claims about children, family members, or other private details should not be treated as fact unless the couple or a strong, verifiable source confirms them.
Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone.Where do Colman and Raúl Domingo live?
Recent profiles have associated the couple with Malibu. Vogue’s 2025 coverage described them living there, and Philadelphia Magazine continued to describe Colman as living in Malibu with his family in a June 2026 interview.
That reporting supports Malibu as their publicly reported home base during the period covered. It does not justify publishing a precise address or assuming that their residence could not change.

Why is relatively little known about Raúl Domingo?
Raúl has chosen, or has otherwise maintained, a lower public profile than his husband. The available reporting emphasizes his work and the couple’s relationship while offering comparatively little information about his private life.
That privacy is also why it is important not to repeat unsupported internet claims about his birth date, ethnicity, family history, wealth, education, or marital status. The reliable public picture is already substantial: Raúl is Colman Domingo’s husband, a producer and creative executive, an Edith Productions co-founder, an oil painter, and a Cessna pilot.
