Its story followed Reacher’s undercover effort to rescue DEA informant Teresa while he confronted Xavier Quinn, a former military officer connected to Reacher’s past. The operation also involved Zachary Beck’s criminal enterprise and the DEA team working to bring it down.

The finale, “Unfinished Business,” runs for 52 minutes and centers on Reacher’s final confrontations with Paulie and Quinn. Those confrontations bring the Beck operation and Reacher’s revenge-driven conflict with Quinn to a resolution.
That matters because Season 3 does not publicly leave behind a confirmed Beck, Quinn, or DEA-team storyline for Season 4. Instead, the finale gives Reacher a clean starting point for another investigation. Because the series relocates the opening subway encounter from New York to Philadelphia, the book should be treated as source material rather than a scene-by-scene preview of the show. Reading it may reveal the novel’s storyline, but it does not confirm how Season 4 will handle its characters, reveals, or ending.
