Short answer: The Paris 2024 Olympic Games took place from July 26 through August 11, 2024, so Peacock no longer offers them as a live event. During the Games, however, Peacock was NBCUniversal’s comprehensive U.S. streaming destination, carrying every sport and event, all 329 medal events, more than 5,000 hours of live coverage, and full-event replays.
If you are looking for Paris 2024 coverage now, search Peacock for the exact sport, event, athlete, or program title before subscribing. Some highlights and replay pages may remain available, but there is no reliable basis for promising that every 2024 event replay is still in the catalog.
What Peacock offered for the Paris 2024 Olympics
For viewers in the United States, Peacock was the most complete way to follow the Paris Games. NBC’s broadcast and cable networks continued to show major events, daytime coverage, primetime programming, and storytelling, while Peacock supplied the broader digital schedule.
NBCUniversal said Peacock would stream every sport and event, including all 329 medal events, with more than 5,000 hours of live coverage. The offering covered all 39 Olympic sports, from high-profile competitions such as gymnastics and swimming to events that received less regular television exposure.

How watching Peacock worked during the Games
The following workflow describes the Games-time experience. It is also a useful model for finding any Paris 2024 content that may still be available, but the Olympic navigation tools and live schedule were temporary features rather than permanent Peacock functions.
- Confirm your location. Peacock’s service is U.S.-specific. Its current availability information lists the United States and certain U.S. territories: American Samoa, Guam, the Northern Mariana Islands, Puerto Rico, and the U.S. Virgin Islands. Olympic streaming rights varied by country, so a Peacock subscription was not a worldwide Olympic pass.
- Choose an eligible plan. During the 2024 Games, viewers needed an eligible Peacock subscription for the sports offering. Do not assume that the exact 2024 price or tier structure is still in effect.
- Install Peacock on a supported device. You could watch in a web browser, on a phone or tablet, through a smart-TV app, on a streaming player, or on a supported game console.
- Open the Olympics hub or search for a specific event. The Games-time hub allowed browsing by sport, athlete, team, and event. Searching by the exact event or athlete was often more efficient when looking for a particular competition.
- Choose live coverage or a replay. The interactive schedule identified upcoming events and completed events. During the Games, full-event replays were part of the offering.
- Save events to My Stuff. Saving an event helped viewers return to a scheduled competition or replay without searching again.
Which Olympic sports were easiest to find on Peacock?
Peacock’s main advantage was breadth rather than merely carrying the events already prominent on broadcast television. It was particularly useful for qualifying rounds, preliminary sessions, and sports with limited linear-TV windows, including equestrian, fencing, field hockey, sport climbing, shooting, and weightlifting.
Gymnastics
Peacock’s documented gymnastics schedule included artistic gymnastics from July 27 through August 5, trampoline on August 2, and rhythmic gymnastics from August 8 through August 10. Viewers could follow both major medal sessions and the surrounding competition through the digital schedule.
Swimming
Swimming coverage ran from July 27 through August 4, with preliminary and final sessions scheduled throughout the competition. Peacock was useful for viewers who wanted more than the most prominently promoted finals.
Equestrian
Equestrian coverage included eventing, dressage, and jumping from July 27 through August 6. During the Games, Peacock provided live and on-demand access to those competitions.

Peacock’s Olympic discovery tools
Peacock built several features specifically to make a very large Olympic schedule easier to navigate.
- Olympic hub: A central destination for sports, athletes, teams, events, medal standings, clips, and related programming.
- Peacock Live Actions: A way to move from whip-around coverage to a particular live event when the most important action shifted between venues.
- Peacock Discovery Multiview: An enhanced four-view layout that included contextual descriptions from NBCUniversal’s Olympic experts.
- Traditional multiview: A more straightforward multi-screen option for sports such as soccer, track and field, and wrestling.
- Gold Zone: A live whip-around program scheduled from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Eastern each day from July 27 through August 10, 2024. It was designed for viewers who wanted the most consequential action without selecting every event individually.
- Your Daily Olympic Recap: A personalized recap experience using AI technology.
Peacock also carried companion programs including Olympic Highlights with Kevin Hart and Kenan Thompson and Watch with Alex Cooper. Gold Zone, Discovery Multiview, Live Actions, the interactive Olympic schedule, and the personalized recap should be treated as Games-time features—not as services that are necessarily present in Peacock’s current catalog.

Opening and closing ceremonies
The Opening Ceremony took place on Friday, July 26, 2024. Peacock and NBC carried live coverage beginning at noon Eastern, followed by NBC and Peacock primetime coverage beginning at 7:30 p.m. Eastern/Pacific. Telemundo’s Spanish-language coverage began at 1 p.m. Eastern.
The NBCUniversal presentation also included live coverage of the Closing Ceremony and coverage across NBC, Peacock, and Telemundo through August 11, the final day of the Games. Because the ceremonies are historical programming, current replay access should be checked by searching Peacock rather than assumed.

Spanish-language Olympic coverage
Peacock streamed Telemundo and Universo Olympic programming, including live events, full-event replays, and Spanish-language short-form content.
Telemundo was the Spanish-language destination for both the men’s and women’s Olympic soccer tournaments. Coverage began before the Opening Ceremony and continued through August 11. If you are looking specifically for Spanish-language commentary or soccer, search for the event through the Telemundo or Universo programming area when available rather than relying only on the general Olympic search results.
Captions, subtitles, and audio description
NBCUniversal said that digital livestreams with commentary on Peacock, NBCSports.com, and the NBC Sports app would include closed captioning. The Gold Zone whip-around program was also scheduled to include audio description.
For content currently available in Peacock, the service’s help information says subtitles are offered across platforms except for rare exceptions such as trailers. On a supported device, pause playback, open Audio & Subtitles, and select an available subtitle option. The exact control may look different depending on the television, streaming player, browser, or app version.
Where you can watch Peacock

What you need to watch Peacock on a television
If your television does not support the Peacock app, a compatible streaming player can provide access to the app. A Fire TV Stick 4K is one possible choice for a television setup, because Peacock lists compatible Fire TV devices among its supported platforms. Check the specific model and software requirements first: the device provides a way to run Peacock, but it does not include a Peacock subscription and does not preserve or unlock expired Paris 2024 replay rights.
Which Peacock plan includes sports?
Peacock’s current plans page lists Select, Premium, and Premium Plus. The current sports distinction is important:
| Current plan | Sports access | Price listed in the current research |
|---|---|---|
| Select | Excludes sports | $7.99 per month |
| Premium | Includes live sports and events | $10.99 per month |
| Premium Plus | Includes live sports and events | $16.99 per month |
Prices and plan names are volatile. Verify the live Peacock plans page before subscribing. These figures should not be presented as the exact prices or tiers that applied during the 2024 Olympics.
If you are subscribing for current NBCUniversal sports rather than Paris 2024, Peacock Premium is the relevant lower-tier plan listed for live sports and events. Premium Plus generally removes commercial interruptions from on-demand viewing, but Peacock notes that live content—including sports and special events—may still contain regular commercial breaks.

Possibly, but only selected material can be confirmed without checking the current catalog. Peacock still has at least one indexed Paris 2024 program page, Best of Paris 2024, a 38-minute NBC highlights program with a Watch Replay option. An indexed program page does not establish that the title is playable for every user, nor does it prove that all event streams remain available.

To look for Paris 2024 coverage now:
- Open Peacock and search for Paris 2024.
- Search again using the exact sport, event, athlete, or team name—for example, the sport followed by “Paris 2024.”
- Check whether the result is a full event, a highlights program, a short clip, or an informational page.
- Look for a visible Watch or Watch Replay control before assuming the program is playable.
- If the replay is not in Peacock, check the official Olympics YouTube channel for authorized full replays or highlights. The channel has published official Paris 2024 full-replay videos, including the men’s basketball gold-medal match.
Do not pay for a subscription solely on the assumption that every Paris 2024 event remains archived. Search first, then compare the available content with what you actually want to watch.
What Peacock did not guarantee
- Permanent replays: Full-event replays were available during the Games, but replay rights and catalog listings can change.
- Worldwide access: Peacock’s service availability is centered on the United States and listed U.S. territories. Olympic rights differed internationally.
- Every Games-time feature today: Gold Zone, Discovery Multiview, Live Actions, the interactive schedule, and the AI recap were tied to the Paris 2024 presentation.
- Ad-free live sports: Premium Plus may reduce commercial interruptions for on-demand content, but live sports and special events can still include regular breaks.
- Hardware as content: A Fire TV device or another supported player only provides access to the Peacock app. It does not supply a subscription or guarantee access to historical Olympic programming.
Ways to remember Paris 2024
If your goal is nostalgia rather than streaming a particular event, the official Olympic Shop continues to list Paris 2024 apparel, accessories, collectibles, and memorabilia. Inventory, shipping availability, geographic eligibility, and program terms can change, so verify those details before ordering. Merchandise is a separate way to remember the Games; it is not a substitute for Olympic replay access.
Frequently Asked Questions
Is Peacock still streaming the 2024 Olympics live?
No. The Paris 2024 Olympic Games ended on August 11, 2024. Peacock was the comprehensive U.S. streaming destination during the Games, but it does not provide live coverage of a finished event. Selected replays or highlights may still be available, so search the current catalog before subscribing.
Which Peacock plan was needed for Olympic sports?
During the Games, viewers needed an eligible Peacock plan for the sports offering. Peacock’s current plan information lists Select as excluding sports, while Premium and Premium Plus include live sports and events. Current prices and plan details should be verified before subscribing and should not be assumed to match the 2024 terms.
Can I watch Paris 2024 Olympic replays outside the United States?
Peacock’s current service availability is the United States and certain U.S. territories, including Puerto Rico, Guam, American Samoa, the Northern Mariana Islands, and the U.S. Virgin Islands. Olympic streaming rights differed by country, so a Peacock subscription should not be treated as a worldwide replay pass.
How do I turn on subtitles in Peacock?
On a supported device, pause playback, open the Audio & Subtitles control, and choose an available subtitle option. Availability and the precise interface can vary by device and program.
Does a Fire TV Stick include Peacock or the Olympics?
No. A compatible Fire TV Stick can provide a way to install and run the Peacock app on a television, but it does not include a Peacock subscription and cannot guarantee that Paris 2024 replays remain available.

The Bottom Line
Bottom line: Peacock was the best all-in-one U.S. streaming option for the Paris 2024 Olympics, offering every sport, all 329 medal events, extensive live coverage, and replays during the Games. In 2026, treat it as a catalog-search question: check Peacock for the exact replay or highlight you want, compare the current plan terms, and use the official Olympics channel for authorized alternatives when a Peacock replay is unavailable.
